The Cognitive And Psychological Effects Of Youtube Video Captions And Subtitles On Higher-Level German Language Learners, Peter Yang

This study reviews the psychological and cognitive role of using videos, YouTube videos and modes of text support in foreign language learning, with a focus on the effect that captioning and subtitling YouTube videos have on intermediate-high and advanced German language learners. The results of the study found that enhanced captioning plays a more positive role on the intermediate-high and advanced German learners’ motivation likely due to more efficient language processing; more specifically the videos are able to provide linguistic integrity, which allows the language learners to focus their incidental attention effectively. The Institutional Repository (KNUSTSpace) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) plays an essential role in meeting the information needs of scholars by providing free, instant, and endless online access to the full content of scholarly resources. The study investigated users’ cognisance, access and usage effectiveness of electronic academic resources in KNUSTSpace to determine how it has satisfied the information needs of users. According to some K-12 school principals, teacher preparation programs are graduating very skilled professional teachers. However, all of them may not feel the same way about first-year teachers graduating from online teacher preparation programs. Some educators have indicated that many K-12 school principals are not as likely to hire a first-year teacher who has just graduated from an online teacher preparation program. The purpose of this research was to capture teacher perceptions on the use of digital gaming in the learning environment of middle school classrooms. Additionally, to speak to perceptions on learning of 21st-century skills such as communication, collaboration and critical thinking.

For this research, four college readiness metrics were examined with the aim of analyzing the effects that implementing the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) in an urban charter school in New Jersey will have on the college readiness of the school’s high school students. These metrics used were (a) participation rates in PSAT/PLAN, SAT, and AP/IB tests; (b) percentage of students who took SAT and scored 1,550 or above; (c) percentage of students who took AP/IB tests and scored three or more; and (d) schoolwide post-secondary program enrollment rates. This study assessed the perspective, practice and barrier that mitigate the integration of Information and Communication Technologies into nursing and midwifery education in Ghana. With purposive and convenience sampling techniques, a sample size of 108 health tutors was involved in the study. The findings revealed that most of the health tutors utilised information and communication technologies in the presentation of lessons to students and the management of examination results. Social media platforms, productivity tools and E-books were the most used technologies among health tutors. Abstract

The purpose of this quantitative study was to discover if an association exists between grade-level and the type of avenues through which parents wish to receive information from their child’s school. Participants were a sample of one hundred and fifty parents of seventh and eighth grade students at an urban public junior high school in Northwest Arkansas.
