Closeness And Conflict In The Parent-Child Relationship And Parental Self-Efficacy During Childhood, Stephanie Boekweg

The present study examined the relationship between closeness in the parent-child relationship, conflict in the parent-child relationship, and parental self-efficacy during childhood. Quantitative data from an electronic survey on one hundred eighty-eight participants was collected. Results from a simple linear correlation indicated that parental self-efficacy during childhood and the parent-child relationship quality measures of closeness and conflict were moderately correlated. A simple regression showed that parental self-efficacy during childhood did not predict closeness nor conflict in the parent-child relationship when controlling for current parental self-efficacy. However, parental self-efficacy during childhood significantly predicted current-parental self-efficacy.

The current study examines patterns of gender representation through three categories (distribution, presentation, and stereotyped behaviors) in children’s media and how these patterns relate to preschool-aged girls’ internalized beliefs about gender. Both historical and presently available children’s media tends to display high levels of stereotypical gender representation. By preschool age, children have already developed distinctions between boys and girls, and hold internalized beliefs regarding gender. The objective of the current study is to examine the relationship between these two factors. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนาระบบส่งเสริมความพร้อมทางการเรียนของเด็กอนุบาลในห้องเรียนรวมตามกรอบการสนับสนุนหลายระดับ และ 2) ศึกษาผลของการใช้ระบบส่งเสริมความพร้อมทางการเรียนของเด็กอนุบาลในห้องเรียนรวมตามกรอบการสนับสนุนหลายระดับ ที่มีต่อความพร้อมทางการเรียนของเด็กใน 4 ด้าน ได้แก่ (1) ร่างกาย (2) อารมณ์และสังคม (3) ภาษาและการสื่อสาร และ (4) สติปัญญาและทักษะทางวิชาการขั้นต้น การดำเนินการวิจัยแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ระยะ คือ ระยะที่ 1 การพัฒนาระบบส่งเสริมความพร้อมทางการเรียน ระยะที่ 2 การทดลองใช้ระบบส่งเสริมความพร้อมทางการเรียน และระยะที่ 3 การศึกษาผลการใช้ระบบส่งเสริมความพร้อมทางการเรียน โดยใช้แบบแผนการทดลองแบบสองกลุ่ม คือ กลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุม วัดผลก่อนและหลังตัวอย่างคือ เด็กชั้นอนุบาลปีที่ 3 จำนวน 32 คน ที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ในโรงเรียนสังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษา กรุงเทพมหานคร ใช้การเลือกตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง ระยะเวลาที่ใช้ในการทดลอง 16 สัปดาห์ ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1) ระบบส่งเสริมความพร้อมทางการเรียนฯ เป็นระบบที่ใช้ในการป้องกัน ช่วยเหลือ และส่งเสริมพัฒนาการของเด็กชั้นอนุบาลปีที่ 3 ทั้งด้านวิชาการและพฤติกรรม ให้มีความพร้อมทางการเรียนก่อนขึ้นชั้นประถมศึกษา โดยใช้การประเมินควบคู่กับการปรับการเรียนเปลี่ยนการสอน ให้สอดคล้องกับความต้องการจำเป็นของเด็กแต่ละคนตามความต้องการจำเป็นที่แตกต่างกัน ประกอบด้วย 4 หลักการ ได้แก่ (1) การคัดกรองเพื่อค้นหาเด็กที่มีปัญหาโดยเร็ว ให้เด็กได้รับการสนับสนุนด้านวิชาการและพฤติกรรมตั้งแต่ระยะแรกเริ่ม (2) การติดตามความก้าวหน้า โดยบันทึกข้อมูลและประเมินเป็นระยะอย่างต่อเนื่อง (3) การออกแบบประสบการณ์เรียนรู้ที่ยืดหยุ่นตามระดับความต้องการจำเป็น 3 ระดับ คือ ระดับที่ 1 ระดับสากล ระดับที่ 2 ระดับเจาะจง และระดับที่ 3 ระดับเข้มข้น และ (4) การประสานความร่วมมือกับผู้เกี่ยวข้องกับเด็กในการให้ข้อมูล ออกแบบการเรียนรู้ และประเมินผลการเรียนรู้ของเด็ก ระบบส่งเสริมความพร้อมทางการเรียนฯ ประกอบด้วย 6 องค์ประกอบ ที่ทำงานร่วมกัน ได้แก่ (1) การคัดกรองและการประเมินผล (2) การกำหนดเป้าหมายและการวางแผน (3) การออกแบบประสบการณ์เรียนรู้ …

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทครูในการส่งเสริมทักษะความปลอดภัยส่วนบุคคลของเด็กวัยอนุบาลใน 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ ด้านการเสริมพลังให้แก่เด็ก ด้านการดูแลและให้ความช่วยเหลือ และด้านการทำงานร่วมกับผู้ปกครอง ตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้คือ ครูประจำชั้นอนุบาลปีที่ 1 - 2 (อายุ 4 – 5 ปี) ในโรงเรียนสังกัดสำนักการศึกษากรุงเทพมหานคร (กทม.) จำนวน 330 คน โดยจำแนกตามขนาดโรงเรียน ได้แก่ โรงเรียนขนาดเล็ก โรงเรียนขนาดกลาง และโรงเรียนขนาดใหญ่ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ แบบสอบถามครูอนุบาล วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการแจกแจงความถี่ คำนวณหาค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน ผลการวิจัยพบว่า บทบาทครูในการส่งเสริมทักษะความปลอดภัยส่วนบุคคลของเด็กวัยอนุบาล โดยภาพรวมมีการปฏิบัติอยู่ในระดับมาก (X̅= 4.38) โดยด้านที่มีการปฏิบัติอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด คือ การดูแลและให้ความช่วยเหลือ (X̅=4.58) รองลงมาคือ ด้านการเสริมพลังให้แก่เด็ก (X̅= 4.32) และด้านการทำงานร่วมกับผู้ปกครอง (X̅=4.26) ตามลำดับ

This research reveals two teaching artists’ dynamic practices that emerged from participating in the Collaboration Laboratory (CoLab) professional development and coinciding classroom arts-based co-inquiry projects of Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education (CAPE). The researchers draw upon the 60-year-old Reggio Emilia Approach as one of the most widely recognized examples of sustainable partnerships with contemporary artists in an educational system with notable comparisons to CAPE. Foster care re-entry rates are high. Studies show that many foster care entries are due to substance abuse. These parents may enter a Family Drug Treatment Court Program that offers intensive therapy for the parent as well as services for the family. This study looks at the effectiveness of a Missouri County Family Drug Treatment Court Program at preventing foster care re-entry for those who graduate the program. This study uses a mixed methods research design. Caseworkers for the Missouri County Family Drug Treatment Court were interviewed. Background: Producing, distributing or discussing child sexual abuse materials (CSAM) is often committed through the dark web in order to remain hidden from search engines and regular users. Additionally, on the dark web, the CSAM creators employ various techniques to avoid detection and conceal their activities. The large volume of CSAM on the dark web presents a global social problem and poses a significant challenge for helplines, hotlines and law enforcement agencies.

Financial literacy awareness is low among young adults, and financial literacy among Black college students is significantly lower than in other groups (Singh, 2018). However, there is little to no research on why financial literacy is so low among young Black men between 18 and 25. Teachers have commonly taught sight words through viewing the word as a whole unit and committing it to memory through repetition, but this practice bears little connection to phonics. While this method may work for some, for many students, especially those with specific learning disabilities (SLDs), it is not enough. Fostering strong relationships with students is a pedagogical approach which can benefit both students and teachers. This research analyzed the application of this methodology in classrooms with students aged pre-k to 12. Based on this research, teacher student relationships can positively benefit student outcomes in academic, behavioral, and social emotional areas. The findings show how to establish these strong relationships, how relationships are a tool for classroom management and how relationships affect student motivation.

Executive function is an umbrella term used in psychology to define a number of cognitive processes that are important for success in daily life. Both self-awareness, being able to focus one’s thoughts and behavior, and self-regulation, being able to manage emotional and behavioral responses, are important components of executive function. Between three- and five-years of age, children begin developing such skills rapidly which are necessary for school readiness. Children’s picture books contribute to children’s development of gender identity and can impact aspirations and expectations of roles in families and society. However, the world represented in children’s books reflects predominantly middle class, heterosexual, male heroes and characters. This paper reports on a cross-cultural study investigating gender representation in frequently read picture books across eight early learning centres in the United States and Australia. Forty-four educators working with 271 children participated. Data were collected from book audits and observations.
