This paper primarily interrogates the assumption that financial literacy essentially decreases impulse buying. However, this may not necessarily be the case, given that individuals navigate in different social contexts. Teachers in the Philippines are stereotypically perceived as heavy financial borrowers due to their limited income. Given their quick access to private financial loan companies, it is worthy to investigate if teachers also engage in impulse buying. The research aims to find similar behaviors between herds in the animal world and Bitcoin prices. The global financial crises that have occurred in the past have caused a growing number of firms to establish a risk management committee (RMC) at their board level. By adopting 208 nonfinancial listed firms in Bursa Malaysia for the year end 2014, our study explores whether the establishment of an RMC and its attributes (having independent members, experts and female members) affect the audit fees charged towards the firms. This paper examines the relationship between the stock price and nominal exchange rate in Malaysia to ascertain the significance of using rubber price as a correction mechanism. The Johansen cointegration test was employed to investigate the effects of linear combination and the relationships among the components in a multiple time series. More than ever before, people across the world are exposed to ideas of choice and have opportunities to make choices. What are the consequences of this rapidly expanding exposure to the ideas and practice of choice? The current research investigated an unexamined and potentially powerful consequence of this salience of choice: an awareness and experience of independence. Four studies (n = 1,288) across three cultural contexts known to differ in both the salience of choice and the cultural emphasis on independence (the United States, Singapore, and India) provided converging evidence of a link between the salience of choice and independence. …

Representative online customer reviews are critical to the effective functioning of the Internet economy. In this study, I investigate the representativeness of online review distributions to examine how extremity bias and conformity impact it, and explore whether online review solicitations alter representativeness. Past research on extreme distribution of online ratings commonly relied solely on observed public online ratings. One strength of the current paper is that I observe the private satisfaction ratings of customers regardless of whether they choose to write an online review or not. Beginning Aug. 20 and continuing for 16 weeks through December, the course will meet online and requires clinical assignments held in affiliated hospitals. This is an opportunity for those in radiology to increase their knowledge and add to their skill base.
