Multiple regression is one of the most powerful analysis techniques available to hospitality and tourism researchers for complex problems that may include prediction, mediation, and moderation. The interpretation of the results requires a two-step hierarchical approach. The first step is to determine whether the researcher has findings worth interpreting and reporting and the second step is to determine the effect(s) origins. This second step involves evaluating both the 𝛽-weights and structure coefficients. JOHNSON CITY – Dr. Kevin Brooks wants to see “deeper, more meaningful relationships” continue to be established at East Tennessee State University.  

Appointed last fall as the director of the Mary V. Jordan Multicultural Center, he believes the center is uniquely positioned to help accomplish that goal.  

“The Multicultural Center creates programs, services and initiatives that bring people together so they can share and exchange their experiences,” he said.

The "Voice Numerosity Effect”: When hearing different voices narrating a marketing video facilitates persuasion. In a forthcoming paper in the Journal of Marketing Research, we investigate the role of voice (narrator) numerosity in marketing videos (Chang, Mukherjee, and Chattopadhyay 2022). For example, consider the following two real-life examples: a product video introducing Apple’s AirPods Max had two narrating voices while a product video introducing Apple’s new Macbook Pro had a single narrating voice.
