Purpose: This study examines the impact of the digital economy on enterprises carbon reduction from a micro-firm perspective. Design/methodology/approach: Drawing on China’s National E-commerce Demonstration Cities policy, this study utilizes a sample from the 2007–2015 China Tax Survey, which covers millions of enterprises, and applies a staggered difference-in-differences model for analysis. Findings: The results indicate that digital economic development significantly promotes enterprise carbon reduction. Mechanism analysis reveals that green innovation and production efficiency are key channels for this impact. This study investigates the components that shape the probability of a venture capital (VC) backed company’s ability to transition from private to public markets through an Initial Public Offering (IPO). The study employs logistic regression models to analyze firm-specific and funding-related determinants of IPO likelihood. Key predictors in this study include total VC funding, number of VC rounds, average deal size growth, size of first round, average days between rounds, company age, number of employees, and primary industry sector. This phenomenological study was conducted to improve instructional support for diverse learners in a Southeast Florida Catholic high school by exploring teachers’ use of the Apple iPad accessibility feature, text-to-speech (TTS). Although this Catholic high school implemented a 1:1 iPad program, many teachers had limited experience using the built-in TTS feature to meet the diverse needs of students, including English Language Learners and those with reading difficulties. Teachers often used conventional approaches that failed to integrate assistive technology for inclusive and equitable learning.

การศึกษานี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อพัฒนาต้นแบบระบบการบริหารจัดการงานบำรุงรักษาอัจฉริยะ (Intelligent Maintenance System:IMS) สำหรับโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมระบบอัตโนมัติ โดยประยุกต์กระบวนการค้นหาในปริภูมิสถานะ (State Space Search) เพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการวางแผนบำรุงรักษา งานวิจัยใช้กรณีศึกษาจากโรงงานผลิตสายไฟฟ้าในประเทศไทย ซึ่งมีเครื่องจักรอัตโนมัติมากกว่า 20 เครื่องและอะไหล่มากกว่า 3,000 รายการต่อเครื่องจักร ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยใช้แนวทางแบบผสมผสาน (Mixed-method) ด้วยการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกและการสำรวจเชิงปริมาณเพื่อศึกษาปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการยอมรับระบบการบริหารจัดการงานบำรุงรักษาอัจฉริยะตามกรอบแนวคิดแบบจำลองการยอมรับเทคโนโลยี (Technology Acceptance Model: TAM) และการประเมินความเป็นไปได้ทางธุรกิจด้วยกรอบ (Business Model Canvas:BMC) พร้อมทั้งพัฒนาโปรแกรมต้นแบบด้วยภาษา Python เพื่อจำลองการวางแผนการบำรุงรักษาอัจฉริยะด้วยการทดสอบทั้งอัลกอริทึมการค้นหาแบบไม่รู้ข้อมูล (Uninformed Search) และแบบรู้ข้อมูล (Informed Search) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบประสิทธิภาพในการค้นหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่าการประยุกต์ใช้การค้นหาในปริภูมิสถานะสามารถระบุช่วงเวลาบำรุงรักษาที่เหมาะสม โดยพิจารณาจากต้นทุนการบำรุงรักษา อายุคงเหลือของอะไหล่ และค่าความเสี่ยง อีกทั้งระบบยังสามารถจำลองสถานการณ์บำรุงรักษาในเดือนที่กำหนด งบประมาณต่อเดือน ปรับเปลียนอายุการใช้งานคงเหลือของอะไหล่ รวมถึงจำลองการชำรุดของอะไหล่เพื่อให้การวางแผนบำรุงรักษามีประสิทธิภาพสูงกว่าวิธีการบำรุงรักษาตามรอบแบบเดิม ข้อเสนอจากการวิจัยชี้ให้เห็นถึงศักยภาพในการพัฒนาระบบการบริหารจัดการงานบำรุงรักษาอัจฉริยะเพื่อใช้งานเชิงพาณิชย์ และต่อยอดสู่กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมอื่น ตลอดจนการพัฒนาอัลกอริทึมขั้นสูงเพิ่มเติมเพื่อเพิ่มความฉลาดของระบบให้สอดคล้องกับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเทคโนโลยีและอุตสาหกรรมในอนาคต

Small manufacturing and craft-based firms increasingly use Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) through public chat interfaces, low-cost tools, and informal experimentation. However, these firms often make operational decisions with incomplete records, tacit owner knowledge, fragmented spreadsheets, and limited managerial capacity. Under such conditions, open-ended chatbots may generate fluent but unsafe recommendations by overlooking missing information, contradictory evidence, feasibility constraints, and implementation constraints. Virtual reality (VR) has unique potential for simulating environments and situations beyond real-life experiences. This study investigates the limitations of VR equipment design for learning spaces, specifically online environments. Presented are the findings of an exploratory study that examined the immersion, ease of use, and physiological and emotional experiences of seven university students participating in a 30–60 min VR session. Given the small sample size, the findings were analyzed with descriptive statistics and qualitatively. The absence of adequate parking facilities in residential and public areas remains a significant issue in developing countries, often disrupting economic activities and environmental quality. In Keffi town, the increasing demand for parking exceeds the available supply, leading to congestion and inefficiency. This study evaluates the current public parking facilities, focusing on provision levels, infrastructure conditions, and management frameworks. Primary data were gathered using structured questionnaires and direct observations, with 328 valid responses analyzed through descriptive statistics. Urbanization and climate change are significant drivers of rising Land Surface Temperature (LST) and the formation of Urban Heat Islands (UHIs), which have emerged as pressing environmental challenges in recent decades. This study examines the relationship between Land Use/Cover (LU/C) indices and LST in Kaduna, Nigeria, using multi-temporal Landsat imagery spanning five periods from 2001 to 2021. Mass housing projects in Northern Nigeria often suffer from insufficient risk management, impacting timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards. This study assesses risk vulnerabilities in selected mass housing infrastructure projects, focusing on information risks related to roles, responsibilities, scope, requirements, and operations. A mixed-methods approach was employed, with data collected from 465 construction professionals across 20 states, with a 64.58% response rate. Analytical tools, including regression and Pearson correlation, identified critical risks such as underfunding, weak project monitoring and control, and the failure to deliver end-user value. This study investigates the influence of logistics factors on the procurement of construction materials in Lokoja, Kogi State, aiming to identify and rank the critical elements affecting material procurement in building projects. A total of 250 questionnaires were distributed across nineteen neighborhoods in Lokoja using a random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, while the T-test assessed the significance of identified logistics factors. The findings revealed that seventeen logistics factors influence material procurement, with seven factors emerging as the most significant: on-time delivery, transportation challenges, material misdelivery, delivery inaccuracies, order processing, storage capacity limitations, and ineffective information flow. …

This research explores the application of large language models (LLMs) to generate synthetic datasets for Product Desirability Toolkit (PDT) testing, a key component in evaluating user sentiment and product experience. Utilizing gpt-4o-mini, a cost-effective alternative to larger commercial LLMs, three methods, Word+Review, Review+Word, and Supply-Word, were each used to synthesize 1000 product reviews. The generated datasets were assessed for sentiment alignment, textual diversity, and data generation cost. Results demonstrated high sentiment alignment across all methods, with Pearson correlations ranging from 0.93 to 0.97. Supply-Word exhibited the highest diversity and coverage of PDT terms, although with increased generation costs. Despite minor …
