Route determination for perishable products is complex due to its unique characteristics, such as limited shelf-life regulatory requirements, or possibility of getting damaged. This research investigates a novel problem of collecting raw milk from a rural network of dairy farms. The research problem is grounded in a real scenario of milk collection in West Virginia, USA. The milk in this scenario is produced by small farms incapable of realizing transportation economies of density out in mostly rural areas throughout the state. The Universal Coverage Scheme (UCS) in Thailand, which covers 75% of the population, has led to overcrowding in government hospital pharmacies. In response, the National Health Security Office (NHSO) introduced a policy in 2019 allowing stable non-communicable disease (NCD) patients to collect medications from accredited community pharmacies. Despite this, participation by community pharmacies as drug-dispensing subcontractors in the prescription drug dispensing services under the NHSO pharmaceutical supply chain remains limited. งานวิจัยฉบับนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารูปแบบการพยากรณ์ที่สอดคล้องกับปริมาณความต้องการขาย ซึ่งมีความสำคัญที่ส่งผลต่อการกำหนดนโยบายการจัดการสินค้าคงคลังของธุรกิจเครื่องใช้ไฟฟ้าภายในบ้านด้วยวิธีกำหนดปริมาณการสั่งซื้อคงที่ (Order quantity model) เพื่อลดจำนวนเงินลงทุนในสินค้าคงคลัง และต้นทุนรวมของสินค้าคงคลัง โดยในปัจจุบันบริษัทกรณีศึกษาลงทุนในสินค้าคงคลังเฉลี่ยต่อเดือนสูงถึง 545 ล้านบาท แต่มียอดขายเพียง 115 ล้านบาท หรือ 1 ใน 5 ของมูลค่าสินค้าคงคลัง รวมไปถึงข้อจำกัดของการสั่งซื้อสินค้าตามปริมาณการสั่งขั้นต่ำ (MOQ) แบบบรรจุเต็มตู้คอนเทนเนอร์ ที่ทำให้จำเป็นต้องถือครองสินค้าคงคลังในปริมาณสูง การศึกษาเริ่มต้นจากการรวบรวมข้อมูลยอดขายสินค้าระหว่างปี 2019-2023 มาจำแนกความสำคัญด้วยหลักการวิเคราะห์ ABC Analysis แล้วเลือกสินค้าใน Class A ที่มีมูลค่าการถือครองมากกว่า 35 ล้านบาทต่อปี จำนวน 9 รายการ มาเป็นตัวอย่างในการศึกษา จากนั้นศึกษาจากรูปแบบของข้อมูล แล้วทำการศึกษาเปรียบเทียบเทคนิคการพยากรณ์และใช้ MAPE เป็นตัวชี้วัดในความแม่นยำ จากนั้นนำเสนอนโยบายด้วยวิธีการสั่งซื้อสินค้าด้วยปริมาณการสั่งคงที่หรือ Q โมเดล ผลการศึกษาพบว่าสินค้าที่มี demand แบบ no trend, no seasonal จะใช้วิธี SES สินค้าที่มี demand แบบมี trend, no seasonal จะใช้วิธี DES และสินค้าที่มี demand แบบ seasonal จะใช้เทคนิค TES ในการพยากรณ์ และในส่วนของการกำหนดนโยบายการสั่งซื้อสินค้าด้วยปริมาณการสั่งคงที่ โดยกำหนดค่าจุดสั่งซื้อ (ROP) จากแบบจำลองทางคณิตศาสตร์ และสั่งซื้อตามปริมาณ MOQ ทำให้สามารถลดปริมาณเงินลงทุนในค่าสินค้าคงคลัง ลงได้ 85 ล้านบาท หรือคิดเป็น 17% และสามารถลดต้นทุนในการจัดการสินค้าคงคลังลงได้ 3 ล้านบาท หรือคิดเป็น 31%

Problem definition: A significant percentage of online consumers place consecutive orders within a short duration. To reduce the total order arrangement cost, an online retailer may consolidate consecutive orders from the same consumer. We investigate how long the retailer should hold the consumer’s orders before sending them to a third-party logistics provider (3PL) for processing. In this order-holding problem, we optimize the holding time to balance the total order arrangement cost and the potential delay in delivery.
