JOHNSON CITY (Aug. 21, 2020) – The Distinguished Faculty Award for Service was presented to Dr. Donna Cherry, associate professor in the Department of Social Work in the College of Clinical and Rehabilitative Health Sciences.
The award was presented at the annual Faculty Convocation, which was delivered in a virtual format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cherry, who has taught at ETSU since 2009, has held numerous service roles at the university and throughout the community.

JOHNSON CITY (Aug. 21, 2020) – It will certainly look different this year than in years past, but in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, East Tennessee State University’s traditional Welcome Week will still provide new and returning students with opportunities to enjoy entertainment, engage with fellow students, learn about campus services and student organizations, and win prizes.
Over a two-week period – from Aug. 24-Sept. 3 – students may take part in a variety of virtual and self-guided events.

JOHNSON CITY (Aug. 21, 2020) – The Distinguished Faculty Award in Research was presented to Dr. Mohamed Elgazzar, professor in the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine’s Department of Internal Medicine.
The award was presented at the annual Faculty Convocation, which was delivered in a virtual format due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

JOHNSON CITY (Aug. 18, 2020) – ETSU Health has named Dr. Roslyn Robinson as its first chief nursing officer (CNO). Robinson also becomes the new associate dean of practice and community partnerships in the East Tennessee State University College of Nursing.

In this paper, we follow on United Kingdom-based company called CloudApps and the firm's development of an artificial intelligence solution to address the issues inherent in the management of the sales pipeline. JOHNSON CITY (Aug. 13, 2020) – East Tennessee State University’s Dr. Zhi Q. Yao was recently awarded a $100,000 grant from the American Diabetes Association (ADA) to explore the impact of diabetes on COVID-19 and the impact of COVID-19 on diabetes and related complications.
