The object of this study is two-fold. The first part of the investigation is concerned with substantiating experimentally the mathematical analysis for the conventional multi-vibrator and to derive similar expressions for the grid return multi-vibrator. The second purpose of this investigation is to delve into several possible ways of improving the linearity and thereby the frequency division usefulness of the multi-vibrator.

Power transistors are used in switching circuits of various types. Their operation in these circuits can be considered as an essentially on-off operation. Designers working with these circuits found that the ratio of the on-time to the off-time is a critical factor in determining the average power that the transistor can dissipate without exceeding its inherent temperature limits.

This investigation of spot welding on low carbon steel was undertaken to study the quality of welds under different welding conditions. Low carbon steel is one of the most readily weldable materials of all metals and alloys used in resistance welding processes. Its metallurgical structure is such that fusion between separate pieces may be accomplished in a broad range of temperatures, so that precise control of welding conditions is not necessary for producing a spot weld. The problem of this thesis is to study the plating prohibitive properties of the various materials commonly used in the manufacturing of separators, and to indicate which material would be most serviceable and feasible in a separator.
