This paper is an exploratory study concerning the perceptions of 16 diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) officers at nine Protestant evangelical Christian universities and six Catholic universities. Among these 16 DEI officers, 15 are people of color. 13 possess Ph.D. degrees and hold the highest administrative positions at their institutions. They are often required to address justice issues in their diversity initiatives if they don’t want to reproduce systematic institutional injustices in historically white-dominated Christian universities. This study investigates the impact of Egyptian boycott campaigns following the Gaza war in 2023 on consumption behavior. It uses the lens of the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) to examine how the intention to consume (or not to consume) originating from attitudes, social norms, and perceived behavioural control leads to intentions that are reflected in different consumption behaviours. This paper conceptualizes the prosocial orientation of the firm. With the ever-increasing contribution of firms toward social good, it is helpful to have a single concept that incorporates the social acts that a firm engages in. The prosocial behavior of a firm originates from the motives of society, decision-makers, stakeholders, and employees. A conceptual model of these relationships portends the benefits that accrue to the firm in its relationships with its suppliers, employees, customers, shareholders, and the government. However, managers are advised to be careful and avoid the incidence of free riding that such an interpersonal concept can engender.

US-China trade relations are now tightly interwoven, with both countries dependent on each other for consumer markets and production capabilities. After decades of major investment and heightened collaboration, however, recent years have witnessed the emergence of conflict and distrust, manifested in sanctions, tariffs, and trade wars. Under such circumstances, the question remains: What does the future hold for US-China trade relations, and the firm-level strategies of American multinational corporations operating in the PRC? This survey analyzes the current state of US-China business relations, and provides research directions for future studies on the next chapter of American business in the PRC.

International entry research rarely examines strategies affecting entry performance in a target country, largely due to data limitations in the traditional multinational enterprise setting. However, the emergence of digital business with trackable international performance data helps address this gap. We utilize digital freemium products as our research context to examine the effect of two major demand-side strategies associated with freemium products, network effects and word-of-mouth (WOM), on entry performance across different institutional environments. However, employees, as key stakeholders, were not meaningfully engaged in the process. This study investigates the role of stakeholder engagement in the ECDoH's transformative efforts, highlighting its impact on inclusivity, strategic alignment, and transparency. We examine how nationalism influences governance choice in cross-border collaborations. While nationalism has historically been within the purview of political scientists, we demonstrate its relevance to management scholars by theorizing how nationalist attitudes and behaviors among decision-makers might shape strategic decisions about collaborations with foreign partners. Drawing on insights from the social psychology literature, we theorize how two attitudes commonly associated with nationalism, i.e., lower levels of trust and an unwillingness to work with foreigners, may increase decision-makers’ concerns about opportunistic behavior and invasiveness in cross-border collaborations. To fill the gap in the literature concerning the role of CEO experiences on CE, this study, based on upper echelons and ambidexterity theory, examines the influence of CEO career variety on CE by classifying CEO industry and function experiences into four categories: Functional Orchestrators, Focused Experts, Industry Navigators, and Holistic Polymaths. Chief executive officers (CEOs) are expected to guard their firms against corporate social irresponsibility (CSIR) incidents. In this study, we hypothesize that CEO humility relates negatively to CSIR occurrence and positively to correction because of CEO preferences for protecting stakeholder interests and employing systematic information processing. These associations are stronger in industries with a high number of CSIR incidents and when top management teams have a higher ratio of gender and racial minorities. We develop and validate a new unobtrusive measure of CEO humility by using automated, objective behavioral indicators derived from earnings conference call transcripts. This dissertation examines the influence of organizational controls on technological capabilities in privately owned U.S. corporations, with a specific focus on family-owned businesses. The primary objective of the study was to investigate how formal controls (process and outcome) and clan controls (informal practices) impact technological innovation and competence. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 177 individuals and analyzed through partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) path analysis. The findings indicate a significant relationship between formal controls and technological capabilities. However, the interaction of family influence on this dynamic was not supported.
