This study examines the impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) test accuracy (i.e., sensitivity and specificity) on the progression of the pandemic under two scenarios of limited and unlimited test capacity. We extend the classic susceptible–exposed–infectious–recovered model to incorporate test accuracy and compare the progression of the pandemic under various sensitivities and specificities. We find that high-sensitivity tests effectively reduce the total number of infections only with sufficient testing capacity. Nevertheless, with limited test capacity and a relatively high cross-infection rate, the total number of infected cases may increase when sensitivity is above a certain threshold. A key challenge in the resource allocation problem is to find near-optimal policies to serve different customers with random demands/revenues, using a fixed pool of capacity (properly configured). In this paper, we study the properties of three classes of allocation policies-responsive (with perfect hindsight), adaptive (with information updates), and anticipative (with forecast information) policies. These policies differ in how the information on actual demand and revenue of each customer is being revealed and integrated into the allocation decisions. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relative importance of different employability skills for business graduates seeking initial employment.

Method: Semi-structured survey questionnaires were administered to human resources representatives from industry, business lecturers, and graduating business students to determine gaps in perceptions between the three stakeholder groups.

Results: There was some alignment and moderate discrepancies in perceptions of the relative importance of different employability skills between the three stakeholder groups. There were statistically significant differences in perceived importance of communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills between graduating students and employers. The outsourcing of maintenance and other technical services is a trend in both military and civil aviation. This article uses input from real outsourcing cases in Northern Europe to verify previous literature findings and to introduce new viewpoints to fill an identified research gap.

Interviews of deeply involved individuals from six cases were selected and analyzed using the Delphi method. The findings were synthesized using a framework that articulates contexts, observed outcomes, and generative mechanisms.

This research focused on product test scheduling in the presence of in-process and at-completion inspection constraints. Such testing arises in the context of the manufacture of products that must perform reliably in extreme environmental conditions. Often, these products must receive a certification from prescribed regulatory agencies at the successful completion of a predetermined series of tests. Operational efficiency is enhanced by determining the optimal order and start times of tests so as to minimize the makespan while ensuring that technicians are available when needed to complete in-process and at-completion inspections. Motivated by the need for transportation infrastructure and incident management planning, we study traffic density under non-recurrent congestion. This paper provides an analytical solution approximating the stationary distribution of traffic density in roadways where deterioration of service occurs unpredictably. The proposed solution generalizes a queuing model discussed in the literature to long segments that are not space-homogeneous. We compare single and tandem queuing approaches to segments of different lengths and verify whether each model is appropriate. A single-queue approach works sufficiently well in segments with similar traffic behavior across space. In contrast, a tandem-queue approach more appropriately describes the density …

การศึกษาครั้งนี้มุ่งเน้นเพื่อประเมินมูลค่าความเต็มใจที่จะจ่ายเพิ่มเติม สำหรับการยกระดับการให้บริการนำเข้าสินค้าแบบเร่งด่วนทางอากาศ โดยใช้วิธีแบบจำลองทางเลือกหรือการวิเคราะห์องค์ประกอบร่วม (Conjoint Analysis) ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลผ่านการสัมภาษณ์โดยตรงจากกลุ่มผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามทั้งหมด 100 ราย การศึกษาครั้งนี้ใช้การออกแบบ Orthogonal เพื่อสร้างการทดลองทางเลือกสำหรับรูปแบบการให้บริการ แต่ละทางเลือกของรูปแบบการให้บริการได้นำเสนอชุดคุณลักษณะการบริการรวมถึงอัตราค่าบริการ ซึ่งแต่ละสถานการณ์ทางเลือกสมมติถูกสร้างขึ้นเพื่อใช้เป็นตัวเลือกระหว่างแนวทางการให้บริการพื้นฐานและอีกสองแนวทางเลือกที่มีการเพิ่มระดับการให้บริการ โดยที่ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามแต่ละรายจะได้รับชุดสถานการณ์ทางเลือกทั้งหมด 7 ชุดสถานการณ์ เพื่อให้ผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามเลือกแนวทางที่พึงพอใจที่สุดภายใต้สถานการณ์เหล่านั้น ผลการวิเคราะห์เผยให้พบว่า ผู้บริโภคมีความเต็มใจที่จะจ่ายค่าใช้บริการเพิ่มเติมจากบริการพื้นฐานเป็นมูลค่า 213 บาทต่อกิโลกรัม เพื่อบริการจัดส่งที่รวดเร็วขึ้นจาก 5-7 วัน เป็น 1-3 วัน เพิ่ม 166 บาทต่อกิโลกรัม เพื่อการส่งมอบที่มีกำหนดเวลาแน่นอน เพิ่ม 162 บาทต่อกิโลกรัม เพื่อให้มีเจ้าหน้าที่บริการส่วนตัว และเพิ่ม 79 บาทต่อกิโลกรัม หากมีการเปิดบริการทุกวัน ตามลำดับ ผลการศึกษาครั้งนี้นำไปสู่การจัดทำข้อเสนอแนะในการวางกลยุทธ์ของผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจขนส่งสินค้าทางอากาศ ในการออกแบบและกำหนดราคาค่าบริการที่เหมาะสมและตอบสนองความต้องการของลูกค้าได้อย่างแท้จริง

งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ห่วงโซ่คุณค่าของส้มโชกุนอำเภอเบตงเพื่อหาโอกาสในการยกระดับโซ่คุณค่า โดยอำเภอเบตงเป็นพื้นที่ตั้งอยู่ใต้สุดของประเทศไทย มีส้มโชกุนเป็นหนึ่งในพืชเอกลักษณ์ถิ่นในพื้นที่และอยู่ระหว่างการดำเนินการรับรองสิ่งบ่งชี้ทางภูมิศาสตร์ (Geographical indication : GI) ซึ่งการวิจัยนี้ใช้การรวบรวมข้อมูลจากการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบลูกโซ่ผ่านการสัมภาษณ์ผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียสำคัญอันได้แก่ เกษตรกร ผู้รวบรวม ผู้ค้าปลีก ผู้ค้าส่ง ผู้บริโภคและหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องอื่น ๆ ข้อมูลที่รวบรวมมาได้จะใช้ในการวิเคราะห์รายได้และต้นทุนทั้งหมดที่เกิดขึ้นในห่วงโซ่คุณค่าประกอบกับการวิเคราะห์ SWOT เพื่อระบุปัจจัยสำคัญที่ส่งผลต่อประสิทธิภาพของห่วงโซ่คุณค่า จากนั้นจึงทำการวิเคราะห์ TOWS เพื่อระบุทางเลือกเชิงกลยุทธ์สำหรับการปรับปรุงห่วงโซ่คุณค่า กลยุทธ์เพื่อยกระดับห่วงโซ่คุณค่าได้แก่ 1) เกษตรกรจัดตั้งกลุ่มสหกรณ์เพื่อแบ่งปันประสบการณ์และองค์ความรู้ซึ่งกันและกัน 2) เกษตรกรนำหลักปฏิบัติทางการเกษตรที่ดี (GAP) มาใช้ในการยกระดับผลิตภัณฑ์ 3) จัดตั้งช่องทางการขายตรงเพื่อการเข้าถึงผู้บริโภค 4 ) รัฐบาลส่งเสริมความร่วมมือของเกษตรกรรายย่อยเพื่อทำการเกษตรแบบเกษตรกรรายใหญ่ และ 5) สร้างโปรแกรมการศึกษาออนไลน์เพื่อเพิ่มพูนองค์ความรู้ด้านการเพาะปลูกของเกษตรกรต่อไป
