What Improves Customer Satisfaction In Mobile Banking Apps? An Application Of Text Mining Analysis, Yun Kyung Oh, Jung-Min Kim

Asia Marketing Journal

Consumer-generated reviews reflect consumers’ experiences and perceptions toward a product or service. In this context, we propose a text mining approach to identify factors that improve customer satisfaction in the mobile banking app service. To do so, we collect 96,140 mobile app reviews for four U.S. banks: Bank of America, Capital One, Chase, and Wells Fargo. Using the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) topic model, we first derive the critical quality dimensions such as ease of use, convenience, security, and customer support. Analysis of weekly panel data shows that positive responses to the security and convenience of mobile banking apps improve …

In addition, we investigate the influence of self-expressive cues as a means of increasing consumers’ intention of participating in cause-related marketing (CRM) by lowering perceived monetary sacrifice. As a result of Study 1, consumers with high-level cause support perceived the donation level as a benefit, resulting in a positive effect on their intentions to participate in CRM. Conversely, consumers with …

Research On Ternary Brand Trust Components In The Inter-Sphere Culture Context: Chinese Brands In Indian Market, Yan Han

Fordham Dissertations and Theses

In the information age, the cultural perspectives associated with brand trust have undergone fundamental changes. Hyperconnectivity in the digital era has transformed social interaction between consumers and firms, leading to the creation of a sphere between the digital spheres where brands construct cultural meaning and thereby influence community members in the spheres. This sphere is dynamic, and perpetually influenced by technology to reach an equilibrium where an inter-sphere cultural phenomenon is formed. The high volume and velocity of information generated with technological advances have led to the blurring and broadening of brand boundaries to create mega-sized brand communities, …

The Role Of Entitlement And Perceived Resources In Gratitude’S Effect On Materialism: Longitudinal And Situational Effects, Hyunjung Crystal Lee, Sunaina Chugani, Jae-Eun Namkoong

Marketing Faculty Publications

Gratitude plays a prominent role in marketing and consumer behavior. Yet, limited causal evidence has demonstrated how gratitude works or how gratitude-based marketing influences purchase decisions. Studies 1 and 2, both longitudinal experiments, illustrate that gratitude reduces materialistic values by decreasing entitlement and perceived resource scarcity. Studies 3A and 3B examine the effect of gratitude on materialism in a marketing context and illustrate that gratitude-based campaigns can shift consumer preference away from material goods and toward experiential purchases. Our findings suggest that gratitude-based marketing efforts reduce materialistic values and purchases and promote experiential …
