The advent of artificial intelligence and machine learning has enabled robots to serve in consumer market for a better customer experience. Nevertheless, acceptance of robotic technology among consumers is still lacking. Therefore, this study has developed an integrated model with robot appearance, expectation confirmation model, diffusion of innovation and theory of planned behavior and empirically investigates customer intention to use service robot. The research model is empirically tested with 349 responses retrieved from customers visiting retail stores. Statistical results have revealed that customer innovativeness, compatibility, behavioral control, expectation confirmation, service robot appearance and subjective norms explained R2 80.1 % variance …

Extant literature has typically drawn from the behavioral theory of the firm (BTOF) to examine new product introductions in the context of well-established companies. This paper extends the behavioral theory of the firm to entrepreneurial firms and argues that jointly considering founders' dispositional optimism together with the performance feedback promises to yield a better understanding of new product introductions in new ventures. We analyze a longitudinal dataset on the activities of 344 newly founded high technology ventures in the United States. The Federal Funds Rate (FFR) is a tool used by the Federal Reserve to set monetary policy on borrowing costs for consumers and businesses. The Fed’s primary motivation with the FFR is to control macroeconomic factors such as inflation and unemployment. The U.S. electricity generation portfolio is transitioning from fossil fuels to renewables like solar and wind, posing challenges due to renewable intermittency. The first chapter examines the relationship between renewable and conventional generation technologies, focusing on operational flexibility. Using panel data from 2002 to 2019, our empirical strategy reveals that flexible generation investments stimulate future wind and solar capacity and respond to current renewable penetration, especially wind energy. This dynamic highlights flexible generation's role in ensuring grid reliability. Much of the existing literature on generative AI applications is conflicting, with findings suggesting that investing in AI will lead to better organizational outcomes but also pointing out that incorporating AI may be a wasteful even counterproductive initiative. We develop a conceptual frame-work to characterize generative AI benefits based on the types of tasks that generative AI may be used for in management. Leaders face many challenges in motivating team members including maintaining remote workers' sense of organizational inclusion. Remote work and flexible working arrangements (FWA) have increased the complexity. Flexible working arrangements (FWA) provide value to employees and may help with work-life balance yet FWA can create employee loneliness and contribute to higher turnover. This quantitative study looked at whether leadership behavior affected remote workers’ loneliness, and the intention to quit. While it is well established that leader characteristics influence employee outcomes, little is known about whether and how leader gender influences employee creativity. Traditionally, female leaders are considered a mismatch for prototypical leadership roles, resulting in less optimal employee outcomes compared to male leaders. In this paper, by drawing on social role and leader-member exchange (LMX) theories, we argue that female supervisors may have advantages over male supervisors and may serve as a catalyst to encourage employee creativity.
