The children of today’s generation are considered as digital natives, which means that they have the capacity to navigate technological terrains to the best of their abilities and create online communities in new storyworlds. Minecraft and Roblox, two sandbox open-world mobile games, are manifestations of such ability to create worlds, survive in difficult gaming situations, face opponents in combat, and interact with players within a community. This research aims to examine disaster communication performed by the community of Turgo, Purwobinangun, Pakem. Sleman. The research was conducted utilizing a qualitative method, and the data were collected through interviews and Focus Group Discussions. The research objects include the community members living in Turgo consisting of teenagers, adults, the elderly, the search and rescue (SAR) team, and village heads. The research results show that the people living in Turgo utilize many sources of information in accessing disaster information, including surveillance and reconnaissance posts (wastai posts), social media, interpersonal communication, and group communication. In Bangladesh, the number of cyber-citizens has been skyrocketing since the 2010s. Violence against women is also proliferating along with the presence of Islam in public spheres and discourses. Using thematic analysis, this study analyzes the discourse data collected from Facebook, the dominant social media of Bangladesh. The key aim of the research is to find out the bedrock of Islamic vigilantism and verbal aggressiveness against women in social media. Subsequently, three interlinked themes have been explored: women's religiosity, women's attire, and women's virtue.
