In this paper, we present error probability analysis for single-input single-output (SISO) and asymmetric dual-branch networks with additive white generalized Gaussian noise (AWGGN) over millimeter-wave (mmW) fluctuating two-ray (FTR) fading channels. Then, we examine the error probability evaluation of a SISO system with imperfect phase errors over mmW FTR fading channels. The probability density function (PDF) approach is employed for the error probability performance evaluation and the novel PDF of the asymmetric dual-branch system over Nakagami-m/mmW FTR fading channels is obtained. In volumetric path tracer, distance sampling and transmittance estimation techniques play a vital role in producing high-quality final rendered images. Previously, these techniques were implemented for production volume rendering, and were analyzed for faster convergence. In this article, we have augmented additional transmittance estimators including ratio tracking, residual ratio tracking and unbiased ray marcher in a GPU-based volumetric path tracer (Exposure Render) for biomedical datasets. Modern hyperspectral sensors provide a huge volume of data at spectral and spatial domains with high redundancy, which requires robust methods for analysis. In this study, 2D and 3D CNN models were applied to hyperspectral image datasets (ROSIS and Jilin-1 GP01) using varying patch and sample sizes to determine their combined impacts on the performance of deep learning models. In this study, a compact pattern reconfigurable antenna structure is proposed. The proposed antenna is a half-wave square microstrip patch antenna divided into two quarter-wave antenna portions by a conducting wall. This wall forces potential zero at the connection point; therefore, it separates the antenna into two independent quarter-wave portions. Pattern reconfiguration is achieved by separate feeding of the quarter-wave portions. Phase difference between excitations of antenna ports result in variation at the maximum beam direction. In this letter, the quasi-Helmholtz projectors are applied to address numerical cancellation of augmented electric field integral equation (A-EFIE). The projectors rescale the term overline {bf V} cdot i{k}_0{bf j} and right-hand side to guarantee that the solution is stable at very low frequency. The improved system is full rank without removing the singularity caused by charge neutrality. Compared to the EFIE with quasi-Helmholtz projectors, this letter presents a better convergence performance and takes less computational cost. The numerical results show that the solution of both scattering problems and circuit problems can ensure the accuracy in the low-frequency regime.

This article intends to address an online optimal adaptive regulation of nonlinear discrete-time systems in affine form and with partially uncertain dynamics using a multilayer neural network (MNN). The actor-critic framework estimates both the optimal control input and value function. Instantaneous control input error and temporal difference are used to tune the weights of the critic and actor networks, respectively. Commercially purchased pectin powder was formulated and processed into a thin film with different drying temperatures (60 °C–180 °C) and subsequently, sandwiched between Ag and ITO as top and bottom electrodes, respectively, for resistive switching memory study. Chemical functional groups, surface roughness, elemental chemical composition, and cross-sectional morphology of the dried pectin thin film were investigated via Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. Simulation programs are used to locate the positions of the input target points and generate a 2D SAR image with the Range Migration Algorithm. Using the same methodology, we can create a scene geometry using the concept of Point cloud and run the simulation program to generate raw SAR data.

Objective: Real-time monitoring of nanoparticle delivery in biological models is essential to optimize nanoparticle- mediated therapies. However, few techniques are available for convenient real-time monitoring of nanoparticle concentrations in tissue samples. This work reported novel optical spectroscopic approaches for low-cost point-of-care real-time quantification of nanoparticle concentrations in biological tissue samples.

Methods: Fiber probe measured diffuse reflectance can be described with a simple analytical model by introducing an explicit dependence on the reduced scattering coefficient. A feasibility analysis for the use of microwave-induced thermoacoustic (TA) wave generation in lossy dielectric media to detect pulsed high power microwave directed energy weapons in force health protection applications was conducted based on a series of empirical and computational investigations. A potential target volume material, carbon-loaded polytetrafluoroethylene, was identified for further study based on anticipated complex dielectric properties, with laboratory measurements of select electromagnetic (EM), thermal, and elastic material properties of relevance to the TA effect conducted to determine parameter values.
