In this picture book by the first U.S. National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman, a Black child in an urban apartment complex surrounded by garbage cleans it up and plants a vegetable and flower garden, enlisting the help of others and overcoming some setbacks. Gorman's text warns children that some adults may say they're too small, or that it’s none of their business, or that what they're trying won’t work, but she reassures them that sometimes it’s OK to ignore those people.

วัตถุประสงค์ของงานวิจัยเชิงทดลองครั้งนี้ คือ 1) เพื่อพัฒนากระบวนการสอนภาษาไทยเป็นภาษาที่สองตามแนวคิดการสอนแบบมุ่งปฏิบัติงานร่วมกับการสอนแบบตอบสนองด้วยท่าทางเพื่อส่งเสริมความสามารถในการสื่อสารของเด็กอนุบาลกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ และ 2) เพื่อศึกษาผลการใช้กระบวนการสอนภาษาไทยเป็นภาษาที่สองตามแนวคิดการสอนแบบมุ่งปฏิบัติงานร่วมกับ การสอนแบบตอบสนองด้วยท่าทางส่งเสริมความสามารถในการสื่อสารของเด็กอนุบาลกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ ตัวอย่างคือ เด็กอนุบาลกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ที่ใช้ภาษาไทยเป็นภาษาที่สอง ในระดับชั้นอนุบาลปีที่ 2 ภาคการศึกษาที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2567 ในโรงเรียน สังกัดสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษาจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ เขต 1 จำนวน 50 คน โดยแบ่งเป็นกลุ่มทดลอง จำนวน 25 คน และกลุ่มควบคุม จำนวน 25 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยคือ แบบวัดความสามารถในการสื่อสารของเด็กอนุบาลกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์ที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้น ระยะเวลาในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล 16 สัปดาห์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การวิเคราะห์ความแปรปรวนแบบวัดซ้ำ การหาค่าที และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหาผลการวิจัยพบว่า1. กระบวนการสอนภาษาไทยเป็นภาษาที่สองฯ ประกอบด้วย 5 องค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ (1) หลักการ (2) วัตถุประสงค์ (3) เนื้อหา (4) ขั้นตอน และ (5) การประเมินผล โดยมี 4 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ (1) ขั้นดึงประสบการณ์ (2) ขั้นทดลองทำกิจกรรม (3) ขั้นเสริมต่อความรู้ทางภาษา และ (4) ขั้นทบทวนเสริมความมั่นใจ 2. หลังการทดลอง กลุ่มทดลองมีค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนการสื่อสารสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลอง ระหว่างการทดลอง และหลังการทดลอง อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 โดยก่อนการทดลองมีค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนเท่ากับ 8.44 ระหว่างการทดลองมีค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนเท่ากับ 12.12 และหลังการทดลองมีค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนเท่ากับ 17.003. หลังการทดลอง ค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนการสื่อสารทั้ง 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ การแสดงท่าทางเพื่อสื่อความหมาย การสนทนาโต้ตอบเพื่อสื่อความคิดความรู้สึก และการขีดเขียน ของกลุ่มทดลองสูงกว่าค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนทั้ง 3 ด้าน ของกลุ่มควบคุม อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05

This study explores the integration of entrepreneurial education within early childhood settings in Ireland, focusing on embedding entrepreneurial capabilities at the foundational stages of education. Recognising the critical role that early experiences play in lifelong learning, this research advocates for equipping preschool children with essential 21st-century skills, such as independence, creativity and problem-solving. Caregivers of young children who have or are at risk for disabilities may struggle supporting their child’s language development. This study used a tailored rapid coaching intervention to teach a caregiver different naturalistic language interventions that can be used with their child during play. Evidence-based naturalistic skills for increasing child communication were chosen to teach the caregiver based on baseline levels of skills. Research has shown follow-up to be an important component for professional development (PD) to result in teacher behavior change. However, PD rarely includes follow-up support. This pilot study used multiple methods to determine the feasibility of Head Start (HS) directors providing teachers PD follow-up support. Two aspects of feasibility were examined. Practical feasibility was based on whether the directors could master the procedure for providing PD follow-up support and whether they had time to provide PD follow-up support. Parental responsiveness, defined as emotionally supportive behaviors, is consistently related to children’s development in research studies. It reflects attention to children’s emotional functioning through providing comfort, reassurance, and encouragement. However, measuring parental responsiveness in everyday practice has been challenging due to the complexity of available tools. The Parental Responsiveness Rating Scale (PaRRiS), a brief observational rating scale that quickly and directly measures the quality of parent-child interactions, shows promise in bridging this research-to-practice gap. Several small-scale studies in UK clinical settings found PaRRiS to be easily implemented, reliable, and valid. Additional studies are needed to explore PaRRiS’s potential use within …
