This chapter unearths some of the diverse attitudes towards Spanish of a third-generation child in Los Angeles (L.A.), California, her family members, and school personnel. L.A. is a tension-ridden contact zone (Pratt, 1991) where Spanish has traditionally been subjugated and is still a lesser-taught language (LTL) despite decades of research showing that bilingual education positively impacts student attitudes (Potowski & Muñoz-Basols, 2020). การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ 1) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความฉลาดรู้ทางเศรษฐศาสตร์ของเด็กอนุบาลก่อนและหลังได้รับการจัดกระบวนการเรียนการสอนโดยใช้แนวคิดการอ่านเชิงโต้ตอบและหลักคิดตามปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง 2) เพื่อเปรียบเทียบความฉลาดรู้ทางเศรษฐศาสตร์ของเด็กอนุบาลที่ได้รับการจัดกระบวนการเรียนการสอนโดยใช้แนวคิดการอ่านเชิงโต้ตอบและหลักคิดตามปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงกับเด็กอนุบาลที่ได้รับการจัดกระบวนการเรียนการสอนแบบปกติ ตัวอย่าง คือ เด็กชั้นอนุบาลปีที่ 3 ปีการศึกษา 2566 โรงเรียนอนุบาลในสังกัดการศึกษาสำนักงานเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาประถมศึกษา กรุงเทพมหานคร จำนวน 49 คน โดยแบ่งเป็นกลุ่มทดลอง จำนวน 24 คน และกลุ่มควบคุม จำนวน 25 คน กลุ่มทดลองได้รับการจัดกระบวนการเรียนการสอนโดยใช้แนวคิดการอ่านเชิงโต้ตอบและหลักคิดตามปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง ประกอบด้วย 4 ขั้นตอน ได้แก่ ขั้นที่ 1 การเรียนรู้เนื้อหาผ่านนิทาน ขั้นที่ 2 การกระตุ้นหลักคิดผ่านนิทาน ขั้นที่ 3 การฝึกปฏิบัติใช้หลักคิดในสถานการณ์จำลอง ขั้นที่ 4 การบูรณาสู่ชีวิตจริง ใช้แผนการจัดกระบวนการเรียนการสอนโดยใช้แนวคิดการอ่านเชิงโต้ตอบและหลักคิดตามปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง 60 แผน และกลุ่มควบคุมได้รับการจัดกระบวนการเรียนการสอนแบบปกติ โดยใช้แผนการจัดกระบวนการเรียนการสอนแบบปกติจำนวน 60 แผน ระยะเวลาที่ใช้ในการทดลอง 12 สัปดาห์ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบวัดสถานการณ์ความฉลาดรู้เศรษฐศาสตร์ของเด็กอนุบาลฉบับก่อนและหลังทดลอง และแบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมความฉลาดรู้เศรษฐศาสตร์ของเด็กอนุบาล วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยหาค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และ การทดสอบค่าสถิติที ผลการวิจัย พบว่า 1) หลังทดลอง เด็กอนุบาลที่ได้รับการจัดกระบวนการเรียนการสอนโดยใช้แนวคิดการอ่านเชิงโต้ตอบและหลักคิดตามปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงมีคะแนนความฉลาดรู้ทางเศรษฐศาสตร์สูงกว่าก่อนทดลองอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01 2) หลังทดลอง เด็กอนุบาลกลุ่มทดลองที่ได้รับการจัดกระบวนการเรียนการสอนโดยใช้แนวคิดการอ่านเชิงโต้ตอบและหลักคิดตามปรัชญาของเศรษฐกิจพอเพียงมีคะแนนความฉลาดรู้ทางเศรษฐศาสตร์สูงกว่าเด็กอนุบาลกลุ่มควบคุมที่ได้รับการจัดกระบวนการเรียนการสอนแบบปกติอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .01

This study analyzed the benefits and drawbacks of outdoor education on elementary-aged children. The educational environment a child experiences is critical to their experience for their entire academic careers. Outdoor education has been in existence since the 1940s. Six academic institutions that provide outdoor education within their curriculum opted to be a part of this study. Outdoor education school administrators were interviewed and asked a series of questions regarding the implementation of outdoor education within their institution. Self-control has emerged as a key probabilistic construct in understanding adjustment, well-being, and life success. The present study tests the links between adolescent perceptions of maternal and paternal conflict and self-control. In addition, to understand the extent to which cultural developmental context impacts these associations, the study will employ a cross-cultural comparative lens to test whether cultural context moderates these links. Previous research performed with mother–infant dyads has demonstrated that infant–directed singing may make significant contributions to mother–infant attachment, may reduce infant stress, reduce maternal stress, assist mothers and babies with emotional regulation, improve mother–infant interactions, prevent colic, and improve infant sleep. Despite these benefit potentials, parents of today are much less likely to sing to their infants than parents of previous generations. Attendance of postnatal lullaby education programs has been associated with increased maternal singing at home and confidence in their parenting role. This study aimed to explore the coaching experiences of childcare staff working in licensed childcare centers by using an online survey. The survey questions sought to determine whether childcare staff had received coaching in the past 12 months, the sources of that coaching, its frequency and method of coaching, the topics covered, and the staff's perception of job-related coaching. Data from 52 participants reveals that: 92% of childcare staff have received job-related coaching from internal sources; 40% have received coaching from external sources. The purpose of this instrumental case study was to explore how music supports kindergarteners’ well-being in an elementary music classroom through the lens of PERMA, a framework for well-being developed by Martin Seligman. PERMA stands for positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning, and accomplishment. An additional goal was to see how applicable this framework was to kindergarteners. Learning Walks are structured walkthroughs with the purpose of professional development and growth. Learning Walks include multiple people so that immediate reflections may occur through collaboration. In higher education, model classrooms are not readily available for preservice teachers to practice and apply coursework knowledge. Virtual Learning Walks are a creative approach to resolve this challenge. This assignment asks preservice teachers to watch a recorded lesson with the mindset that they are visiting a colleague’s classroom to observe them for professional growth. Students take notes during the observation then analyze the observation for their own growth.

This resource describes a project where eight Western Australian Independent Schools engaged in critical reflection using a growth mindset. Partnerships between early childhood teachers/leaders, schools and the university were enhanced through a community of practice to share information, critically reflect, problem solve and create new knowledge. Participating schools explored emerging issues and changing policy directions in the new Early Years Learning Framework v2.0 (Australian Government Department of Education [AGDE], 2022) to design, deliver and evaluate quality learning and teaching practices for children through critical reflection.
