Perceived Or Real Risks Using Smartphones, S. Ann Wilson, Michael York
Faculty Publications
Smartphones have blurred the line of capability usually prescribed to traditional telephones by their becoming the premier multi-tasking devices of today‘s world. Since current smartphones have their own dedicated operating system, Bluetooth capabilities, and constant network connection, PC connectivity, and internet capability, smartphones are experiencing security risks just as computer systems have done for many years. This paper will examine the history of mobile technology and its integration into people‘s daily lives. Furthermore, smartphone capabilities will be investigated for their potential vulnerabilities due to lack of consumers‘ precautions and smartphone usage.

Knowledge Accumulation And Dissemination In Mnes: A Practice-Based Framework, Stephen Tallman, Aya S. Chacar

Much has been written on the importance of knowledge accumulation and transfer within the network firm but two questions remain. First, what are the specifics of this process, particularly for high tacit content knowledge? Second, how can firms create a sustainable competitive advantage from knowledge acquired from outside the firm? We address the first question by proposing that the mechanisms of external knowledge capture and internal knowledge transfer can best be understood and studied not at the level of networked subsidiary firms, but at the micro-organizational level of Communities of Practice (CoPs). We then offer a model of the dynamics …

Modern Leadership Compared to Historical Leadership Shown Biblically
Forrest Jones
This thesis is a comparison between modern leadership and historical leadership. Modern leadership has been differentiated from management since the early 1980’s. Historical leadership is shown by Jesus Christ through the Bible, used as a historical text. Historical leadership was found to have two separate tools used by Jesus Christ which would be useful additions to what leadership today is. The first tool is submission to authority. Most people in positions that would be considered leadership positions do not feel that they need to follow anyone else. Often times they …
