Gambaran Kapasitas Fisik Atlet Papua: Kajian Menuju Pon Xx Papua, Miftah Fariz Prima Putra, Saharuddin Ita

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap (1) bagaimana kondisi fisik atlet Papua, (2) apakah ada hubungan antara IMT, kecepatan, dan kekuatan dengan VO₂max, (3) apakah ada perbedaan kemampuan fisik atlet Papua antara cabor atletik, bola voli dan tarung derajat. Metode deskriptif dengan desain ex post facto akan digunakan dalam studi tersebut. Sebanyak 132 atlet Papua (92 laki-laki dan 40 perempuan) cabor atletik, bola voli dan tarung derajat akan dijadikan sampel penelitian. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh metode latihan dan koordinasi mata tangan terhadap akurasi pukulan forehand sidespin service tenis meja. Metode latihan dalam penelitian ini adalah distributed practice dan massed practice, sedangkan koordinasi mata tangan terdiri atas koordinasi tinggi dan rendah. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode eksprerimen desain fakorial 2x2. Subjek penelitian delapan maha-siswa UKM tenis meja UPI yang terbagi atas empat kelompok. Berdasarkan placed kelompok koordinasi tinggi dan rendah dengan perlakuan MDP, kelompok persepsi motorik tinggi dan rendah dengan perlakukan MMP. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 16 kali pertemuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan atau yang sering disebut research and development yang mana digunakan untuk menghasilkan sebuah produk yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan somatotype dengan kesegaran jasmnai atlet sepak bola. Desain penelitian cross sectional dengan sampel sebanyak 42 subjek dipilih secara random sampling. Data somatotype didapatkan dari pengukuran antropometri terdiri dari berat badan, tinggi badan, trisep, suprailiaca, subscapular, calf skinfold, humerus width, fumerus width, dan flixed arm girth yang dihitung dengan metode antropometri Heath-Carter untuk menghasilkan skor somatotype yaitu endomorph, mesomorph, dan ectomorph. Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan eksplorasi pada klub sepakbola yang menjalani Liga 2 Indonesioa 2018 dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Lima peserta penelitian dari stakeholder klub dipilih secara sengaja sebagai partisipan wawancara. Pengumpulan data dilakukan sebagai berikut: melakukan observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Validasi instrumen menggunakan 'expert judgment' dan analisis data kualitatif menggunakan bantuan Scientific Software ATLAS Ti. Versi 7.5.16. Hasilnya, kendala finansial (soft budget constraint) menjadi permasalahan utama klub dalam menjalani kompetisi. There is a high risk of catastrophe and error in these settings, the consequences of which may result in loss of life, financial cost, and damage to the environment. “Chronic unease” is a concept originally adopted by Royal Dutch Shell describing a mindset that has five predictable attributes that contribute to an individual’s and organisational safety culture. To identify opportunities to improve coach-athlete communication, this study examined young athletes’ perceptions and concerns about concussion, as well as their information needs. A qualitative data collection approach, based on the grounded theory methodology, was utilized. Six virtual focus groups were conducted with 17 male and female athletes’ ages 12 to 18 years. Results indicated that athletes were concerned about the potential long-term effects of a concussion. Athletes described multiple barriers that interfere with concussion reporting, including: being unfamiliar with concussion signs and symptoms, perceived pressure from teammates, concerns of interference that concussion reporting can have on gameplay, and a …

There is a worldwide increase in efforts to support talents’ development towards elite athletes. The focus of the study was the learning processes among athletes that facilitate this development. Drawing on the learning dispositions concept (Carr & Claxton, 2002), the aim was to create knowledge on the prevalence and possible consequences of variability in learning patterns among pupils enrolled in Nationell Idrottsutbildning Fotboll (NIUF)—a highly selective soccer talent development programme within upper secondary schools in Sweden. The purpose of this study was to develop a reliable and valid instrument for assessing the extent to which athletic identity is related to the tenets of addiction. Specifically, it was investigated whether athletes experience a behavioral addiction regarding their participation and involvement in sport. A total of 576 athletes (118 student-athletes, 458 former student-athletes) were included within a two-phase study. The first phase focused on crafting and testing the instrument, while the second phase refining the instrument for validity and reliability. Paralympic athletes (PA) appear to be more prone to chronic overuse injuries from daily wheelchair or crutch use. Over half of these injuries are shoulder related which can deleteriously impact quality of life. Adaptive powerlifters (AP) are a subdivision of Paralympic athletes and are at a higher risk for catastrophic injuries as compared to their counterparts, due to the compound of fatigue and lifting of maximal weights. There is a growing demand in the sports world for wearable technology, particularly those with electromyography acquisition capabilities. Electromyography (EMG) is technique for measuring the electrical activity that occurs during muscle contraction and relaxation. Basic practical applications of EMG use in sports include, but are not limited to: measuring activation timing of a muscle, measuring levels of activation, and detecting fatigue. The sports performance company Strive has designed an EMG wearable, called Sense3, that targets the following muscles of the lower limb: Quadriceps, Hamstrings, and Glutes.
