In developing metropolises, there is a risk to public safety in addition to the usual traffic jams. Traffic delays can have life-altering effects every second that fire trucks and ambulances are delayed. Large cities like Baghdad, which suffer from haphazard road sealing and incompetent traffic management, are especially affected, creating daily emergency crisis problems. We create a new intelligent routing system for these top priority vehicles in order to solve this life-or-death problem. Our method uses a trained model with real-time spatial information instead of outdated static maps. A Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network at its core constantly forecasts …

The aim of this study is to investigate the corrosion behavior and mechanical properties of welded steel exposed to gases emitted from crude oil reservoirs. In this study, two types of nanoparticles were used as fillers during welding to improve corrosion and mechanical properties. TiO2 and SiO2 nanoparticles were mixed with soldering oil in four mass concentrations of 0, 1, 2.5 and 5% by ultrasonic bath method and used as filler during the welding process. This paper discusses how a solar-assisted thermal heating system can be incorporated to enhance the efficiency of fuel pumping at the Karbala Fuel Depot which is managed by the Middle Oil Distribution Company in Iraq. The aim of the system is to partially pre-heat diesel before pipeline transfer and hence minimizing losses in pressure caused by viscosity and saving electrical power consumed during pumping operations. This paper is a field-based performance assessment of a multi-stage natural gas compressor that is operating in realistic industrial conditions. The data is analyzed using the real operating data taken in a particular oil and gas plant and, therefore, the actual operating data is used to determine the trends of thermodynamic behavior, energy consumption, and efficiency, instead of theoretical or simulation-based assumptions. Porous metal foams have emerged as a promising medium for thermal management due to their high surface area, low density, and excellent thermal conductivity. This study investigates the effect of copper porous foam baffles with different pore densities (5 and 10 PPI) on the thermal and hydraulic performance of a shell-and-U-tube water–water heat exchanger. An experimental setup was developed to evaluate the Nusselt number, heat transfer coefficient, pressure drop, and friction factor over a range of Reynolds numbers across the annular side. This study aims to provide a comprehensive geospatial gas flaring intensity and emission doses analysis throughout oil production areas in Iraq based on remote sensing and GIS-based interpolation methods. Satellite image and spatial data were combined to create a map of flaring locations, refinery locations, and associated CO2-equivalent emissions. The results show that there is a clear spatial variation in the intensity of the emissions ranging from northern regions towards the oil fields in the south near Basra, Rumaila and West Qurna, where refinery density and high flaring activities are observed. This study presents a hybrid Artificial Intelligence–Computational Fluid Dynamics (AI-CFD) framework for optimizing heat transfer in magnetic bio-nanofluids subjected to external magnetic fields. Magnetic bio-nanofluids, composed of biocompatible base fluids containing superparamagnetic nanoparticles, exhibit tunable thermal and flow behavior, making them promising for biomedical and micro-cooling applications. Conventional optimization methods based on experiments or brute-force CFD are computationally expensive and limited in exploring the full design space. Deep neural networks have achieved state-of-the-art performance across a wide range of computer vision tasks, yet their deployment in real-world and safety-critical domains remains limited by two major challenges: vulnerability to adversarial perturbations and high computational cost. The accuracy of the traditional EKF in parameter identification of the PMSM tends to be degraded under load changes or abrupt changes in internal parameters of the motor. This paper proposes an IGWO adaptive interconnected Kalman filter observer, which constructs an adaptive mechanism that combines the innovation and residuals to achieve dynamic adjustment of the process noise matrix and system noise matrix, thereby avoiding the problem of reduced parameter identification accuracy due to reliance on fixed covariance matrices under operating condition changes. To address the issues of large search space, low efficiency, and slow convergence of the RRT* algorithm in 3D path planning of robotic manipulators, an adaptive path planning algorithm integrating RRT* and APF is proposed. In the sampling phase, a Sobol sequence-based obstacle avoidance strategy and an APF adaptive-threshold, goal-biased sampling method are used to improve the quality of sampling points. During the expansion phase, sampling, attractive, and repulsive vectors are integrated, and adaptive weights are designed based on environmental information to generate a resultant force direction, thus enhancing the expansion guidance. Insufficient friction force compensation accuracy degrades motion smoothness, stability, and assistive compliance of elbow joint rehabilitation robots. To address this issue, an improved Stribeck friction force model integrating temperature and speed factors was proposed. The model employed an exponentially decaying friction factor to describe the characteristic that the increase rate of friction force slowed down with the rise of the robot's operating speed and designed a viscous function considering temperature effects to suppress friction force fluctuations caused by temperature changes. To address the severe degradation of object detection performance under extreme weather conditions, a detection framework based on the Kolmogorov-Arnold theorem, termed KADet, is proposed. A dynamic Kolmogorov-Arnold Transformer is designed, which leverages learnable nonlinear activation functions to enhance the modeling capability for complex distortions introduced by weather degradation. A Kolmogorov-Arnold spatial-channel network is developed by integrating KAT convolution with spatial-channel convolution to strengthen feature learning of relationships between targets and backgrounds in degraded scenes.
