Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Existing optimization algorithms for solving the vehicle routing problem with time windows (VRPTW) are prone to fall into local optimal solutions and have slow convergence speed. To address this issue, a K-means clustering algorithm and improved large neighborhood search algorithm (K-means-ILNSA) was proposed. A strategy of clustering before optimization was adopted, and the K-means algorithm was adopted to group the customers to be delivered, so as to improve the optimization efficiency. The genetic algorithm was adopted to optimize each group of customers generated by clustering separately to initially plan the distribution routes. The large neighborhood search (LNS) algorithm was …

Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: To address the scheduling problem of aircraft fleet support processes under limited resources, a fleet support process optimization model that covered multiple aircraft, activities, and resource constraints was developed. An activity node graph model was used to establish the temporal logic, resource competition, and other constraints in the fleet support process, forming a "time – activity – resource" multidimensional optimization model. A genetic algorithm based on priority encoding was proposed, incorporating a serial decoding strategy and a dynamic penalty function to handle the complex constraints in the model, efficiently solving the optimization problem under complicated temporal and resource constraints. …

Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: To address the shortcomings of current contactless delivery methods in the collaborative distribution of epidemic prevention supplies, we introduce a specialized model called the vehicle routing problem with drones considering zoned distribution (VRPD-ZD). The initial solution is generated by greedy algorithm in the first stage. In the second stage, we develop a Tabu search algorithm with genetic algorithm (TSGA) hybrid. This enhanced algorithm integrates a taboo list and employs advanced chromosome …

The second part of the proposed controller is an adaptive backstepping control, responsible for tracking the generated impedance reference trajectory. Notably, the proposed adaptive backstepping impedance controller is non-model-based control approach, eliminating the need for the robot's model. Furthermore, a genetic algorithm is employed as an offline tuning method for the inner position loop controller, namely the …

Journal of Soft Computing and Computer Applications
The Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory (Bi-LSTM) network structure enables data analysis, enhances decision-making processes, and optimizes resource allocation in cloud computing systems. However, achieving peak network performance relies heavily on choosing the hyperparameters for configuring the network. Enhancing resource allocation improves the Service Level Agreement (SLA) by ensuring efficient utilization and allocation of computational resources based on dynamic workload demands. This paper proposes an approach that integrates a Multi-Objective Evolutionary Algorithm (MOEA) with deep learning techniques to address this challenge. This approach combines the optimization capabilities of MOEA with the learning predictive models to establish a framework for resource allocation …

Research On Artificial Population Generation And Application Based On Genetic Algorithm, Hongli Zhang, Jingshuang Deng
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: High-precision micro-population data are one of the key basic data for simulation systems such as disease spread, traffic travel, and emergency events. In reality, computer-generated artificial populations are often used for simulation. Due to computational efficiency and standardization of generation steps, the iterative proportional fitting method is currently used for artificial population synthesis. However, it has strict requirements on basic data and faces zero-unit and data representational deviation problems, and it fails to guarantee the fitting at the individual and family levels at the same time. In order to overcome this deficiency, an improved genetic algorithm using a simulated …

Graph-Based Mutations For Music Generation, Maziar Kanani, Sean O'Leary, James Mcdermott
Conference papers
Our study aims to compare the effects of direct mutation and graphbased mutation on representations of music domain. We focus on short tunes from the Irish folk tradition, represented as integer sequences, and use a graph-based representation based on Pathway Assembly (a directed acyclic graph) and the Sequitur algorithm. We define multiple mutation operators to work directly on the sequences or on the graphs, hypothesizing that graph-based mutations will tend to preserve the pattern used per tune, while direct mutation of sequences will tend to destroy patterns, resulting in new generated tunes that are more complex. We perform experiments on …

Zero-shot learning (ZSL) is a recent promising learning approach that is similar to human vision systems. ZSL essentially allows machines to categorize objects without requiring labeled training data. In principle, ZSL proposes a novel recognition model by specifying merely the attributes of the category. Recently, several sophisticated approaches have been introduced to address the challenges regarding this problem. Embarrassingly simple approach to zeroshot learning (ESZSL) is one of the critical of those approaches that basically proposes a simple but efficient linear code solution. However, the performance of the ESZSL model mainly depends on parameter selection. Metaheuristic algorithms are considered as …

Software quality assurance is one of the crucial factors for the success of software projects. Bug fixing has an essential role in software quality assurance, and bug localization (BL) is the first step of this process. BL is difficult and time-consuming since the developers should understand the flow, coding structure, and the logic of the program. Information retrieval-based bug localization (IRBL) uses the information of bug reports and source code to locate the section of code in which the bug occurs. It is difficult to apply other tools because of the diversity of software development languages, design patterns, and development …
