This study investigates the relationship between early childhood (EC) and early years’ primary school (EYPS) teachers’ phonological awareness (PA) assessment practices, self-reported PA knowledge and actual PA knowledge. Method: A survey design was employed whereby 102 registered Australian EC and EYPS teachers responded to questions regarding PA assessment practices, self-reported PA knowledge and actual PA knowledge. Results: The results showed: a) more than 80% of teachers use PA assessments, with EYPS teachers conducting frequent assessments and EC teachers conducting rare-to-occasional assessments; b) over-estimation of self-reported PA knowledge; c) low levels of actual PA knowledge; and d) high usage of observations …

Djarlgarra Koolunger (Canning River kids) is a culturally centred outdoor learning project referred to as ‘On Country Learning’ or OCL. The project explores Aboriginal connectedness to the spiritual, social, cultural, environmental and geographic dimensions of particular outdoor spaces. This allows Indigenous and non- Indigenous students and their educators to connect at what Nakata (2007) terms the ‘cultural interface’. The demand for recruiting and retaining early childhood teachers remains a challenging problem in the early childhood field in Singapore as well as in many other countries. A research study was devised to investigate if the use of a ‘coaching approach’ could bring about change in teachers’ participation in their centre’s management and organisational climate. The study involved 72 teachers and seven principals from seven, privately owned child care centres. A before-and-after study intervention was conducted over an 18-month period of time. : Musical activity has been found to be beneficial to young children’s all-round development in kindergartens. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between kindergarten teachers’ perceived attributes of music teaching effectiveness and personality. Eighty-eight in-service kindergarten teachers rated themselves using a set of Attributes of Music Teaching Effectiveness (AMTE) and the sensing-intuitive dimension of the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. Results showed that 75% (66 of 88) and 25% (22 of 88) of the teachers were sensing types and intuitive types, respectively. The purpose of this applied dissertation study was to evaluate the implementation of a program entitled Second Step for Early Learning to determine if the program would significantly improve social-emotional competence in young children. The participants included six teachers from a preschool program located in an urban school district in Pennsylvania. Data-collection sources included surveys, interviews, and a review of lesson plans. Data analysis employed both quantitative and qualitative procedures.Findings from three data sources in combination with training indicated that implementation of the program increased social competence in young children. การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาบทบาทครูในการส่งเสริมพฤติกรรมความปลอดภัยของเด็กวัยอนุบาลใน 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ การจัดสภาพแวดล้อมที่ปลอดภัย การดูแลและปกป้องคุ้มครอง และการสอนเกี่ยวกับความปลอดภัย ตัวอย่างคือ ครูประจำชั้นอนุบาลในโรงเรียนสังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน จำนวน 397 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย แบบสอบถามและแบบสัมภาษณ์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้ความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า บทบาทครูในการส่งเสริมพฤติกรรมความปลอดภัยของผู้ตอบแบบสอบถามโดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด (X= 3.64) เมื่อพิจารณารายด้านพบว่า ทั้งสามด้านอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงสุดคือ ด้านการดูแลและปกป้องคุ้มครอง (X= 3.76) รองลงมาคือ ด้านการจัดสภาพแวดล้อมที่ปลอดภัย (X= 3.75) และด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยต่ำสุดคือ ด้านการสอนเกี่ยวกับความปลอดภัย (X= 3.52) ตามลำดับ

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ เพื่อศึกษาสภาพและปัญหาของครูในการจัดประสบการณ์ การเรียนรู้แบบสะเต็มศึกษาสำหรับเด็กอนุบาลใน 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ การวางแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ การจัดการเรียนรู้ และการประเมินผลการจัดการเรียนรู้ ประชากรที่ใช้ในการศึกษาครั้งนี้ คือครูอนุบาลในโรงเรียนสังกัด สำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานที่เข้าร่วมการอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการการ ศึกษานิเทศก์ และครูแกนนำระดับปฐมวัย หลักสูตรการจัดกิจกรรมการบูรณาการตามแนวทางสะเต็มศึกษาในระดับปฐมวัย จำนวน 278 คน จาก 4 ภูมิภาค เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสอบถาม แบบสัมภาษณ์ แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรม และแบบสำรวจ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการแจกแจงความถี่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ร้อยละ ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สภาพการปฏิบัติของครูในการจัดประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้ แบบสะเต็มศึกษาสำหรับเด็กอนุบาล มีระดับการปฏิบัติในระดับมาก (X ̅ = 4.00) ด้านที่มีค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนการปฏิบัติสูงที่สุด คือด้านการวางแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ (X ̅ = 4.09) รองลงมาคือ ด้านการประเมินผลการจัดการเรียนรู้ (X ̅ = 4.00) และด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้ (X ̅ = 3.92) ตามลำดับ ปัญหาของครูในการจัดประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้แบบสะเต็มศึกษาสำหรับเด็กอนุบาล ที่พบมากที่สุด คือ ด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้ ในประเด็นการสนับสนุนให้เด็กมีส่วนร่วมในการออกแบบและแก้ไขปัญหาที่มีลักษณะแปลกใหม่ รองลงมาคือ ด้านการประเมินผลการจัดการเรียนรู้ ในประเด็นการประเมินวิธีการทำงานเกี่ยวกับการใช้ภาษาที่เข้าใจง่ายในการนำเสนอชิ้นงาน และด้าน การวางแผนการจัดการเรียนรู้ในประเด็นการคัดเลือกสาระการเรียนรู้ที่เชื่อมโยงกับปัญหาในชีวิตประจำวันของเด็ก

การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ 1) พัฒนารูปแบบการจัดการเรียนการสอนภาษาจีนกลางเป็นภาษาต่างประเทศโดยใช้แนวคิดการสอนแบบบอกเล่าและวิธีสอนแบบฟัง-พูด เพื่อส่งเสริมความสามารถในการฟัง-พูดสำหรับเด็กอนุบาลและ 2) ศึกษาผลของรูปแบบฯ ที่มีต่อความสามารถในการฟัง-พูดสำหรับเด็กอนุบาล ตัวอย่างคือ เด็กอนุบาลชั้นปีที่ 3 จำนวน 19 คน โรงเรียนอนุบาลธีรานุรักษ์ สังกัดสำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการศึกษาเอกชน ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2561 การดำเนินการวิจัยแบ่งเป็น 3 ระยะ คือ ระยะที่ 1 การพัฒนารูปแบบฯ ระยะที่ 2 การนำร่อง รูปแบบฯ ระยะที่ 3 การทดลองใช้รูปแบบฯ เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบประเมินความสามารถในการฟัง-พูด และแบบบันทึกความสามารถในการฟัง-พูด วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยการหาค่าเฉลี่ย ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน การทดสอบค่าที และการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1. รูปแบบฯ ประกอบด้วย 6 องค์ประกอบ ได้แก่ วัตถุประสงค์ เนื้อหา ขั้นตอนการจัดการเรียนการสอน ระยะเวลาในการใช้รูปแบบฯ และ การประเมินผล โดยรูปแบบฯ มีขั้นตอนการจัดการเรียนการสอน 3 ขั้นตอน คือ 1) ขั้นนิทานเปิดประสบการณ์ 2) ขั้นฝึกเล่าและขยายประสบการณ์ และ 3) ขั้นทบทวนความเข้าใจ เนื้อหาของ รูปแบบฯ ประกอบด้วย คำศัพท์ภาษาจีนจำนวน 84 คำ และประโยคเบื้องต้น 12 ประโยค ใช้เวลาดำเนินการทั้งสิ้น 36 ชั่วโมง 2. ผลการทดลองใช้รูปแบบฯ พบว่า ค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนความสามารถในการฟัง-พูดของกลุ่มตัวอย่างหลังการทดลองสูงกว่าก่อนการทดลองอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ 0.1 เมื่อพิจารณารายด้าน พบว่า ค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนด้านการแสดงพฤติกรรมการฟังสูงกว่าด้านการแสดงพฤติกรรมการพูด

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อ ศึกษาบทบาทครูในการส่งเสริมความเข้มแข็งทางจิตใจของเด็กวัยอนุบาลในโรงเรียนเขตกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑล ใน 2 ด้าน ได้แก่ การสร้างบรรยากาศการเรียนรู้ และการจัดการเรียนรู้ ตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ ครูประจำชั้นระดับอนุบาล 1-3 จำนวน 456 คน ในโรงเรียนเขตกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑล จำนวน 4 สังกัด ได้แก่ สำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐาน สำนักงานคณะกรรมการส่งเสริมการศึกษาเอกชน สำนักการศึกษากรุงเทพมหานคร/องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นและสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการอุดมศึกษา เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ แบบสอบถาม แบบสังเกตและแบบสัมภาษณ์ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้การแจกแจงความถี่ ค่าเฉลี่ย ร้อยละ ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานและการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา ผลการวิจัยสรุปได้ ดังนี้ ครูอนุบาลมีบทบาทในการส่งเสริมความเข้มแข็งทางจิตใจของเด็กวัยอนุบาลในระดับมาก (x̅ = 4.23) โดยด้านการสร้างบรรยากาศการเรียนรู้มีค่าเฉลี่ยคะแนนการปฏิบัติ (x̅ = 4.36) สูงกว่าด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้ (x̅ = 4.10) เมื่อพิจารณารายละเอียดแต่ละด้าน พบว่า 1) ด้านการสร้างบรรยากาศการเรียนรู้ ครูเป็นแบบอย่างที่ดีของผู้ที่มีความเข้มแข็งทางจิตใจโดยการเป็นผู้ที่รับฟังผู้อื่นอย่างตั้งใจ ส่งเสริมให้มีปฏิสัมพันธ์ที่ดีในห้องเรียน ปลูกฝังให้เด็กเป็นผู้พูดและผู้ฟังที่ดีครูเป็นบุคคลที่เด็กให้ความไว้วางใจ และให้ความร่วมมือกับผู้ปกครองในการดูแลเด็ก สร้างบรรยากาศที่ให้เด็กมีส่วนร่วมในห้องเรียน มีตารางกิจวัตรประจำวันที่แน่นอนเพื่อให้เด็กคาดเดาเหตุการณ์ได้ มองข้อผิดพลาดที่เกิดขึ้นในห้องเรียนเป็นสิ่งที่ยอมรับได้และเปิดโอกาสให้เด็กได้เรียนรู้การแก้ปัญหาจากสถานการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นจริง 2) ด้านการจัดการเรียนรู้ ครูสอนทักษะทางสังคมให้เด็กโดยการเป็นแบบอย่างของผู้ที่แก้ปัญหาอย่างใจเย็น ปฏิบัติตามข้อตกลงในชั้นเรียนที่ทำร่วมกัน สอนให้เด็กรู้จักขอบคุณและขอโทษผู้อื่น สนับสนุนให้เด็กประเมินและควบคุมอารมณ์ของตนเอง จัดประสบการณ์ในชั้นเรียนให้มีความหลากหลายและคำนึงถึงความแตกต่างระหว่างบุคคลของเด็ก ให้การเสริมแรง ด้วยคำชมเมื่อเด็กแสดงพฤติกรรมที่เหมาะสม เปิดโอกาสให้เด็กเล่นอย่างอิสระและฝึกแก้ปัญหาด้วยตัวเอง ครูเป็นผู้อำนวยความสะดวกในการจัดเตรียมสื่อ อุปกรณ์ และให้ความช่วยเหลือเด็กตามความเหมาะสม

Exploring the interventions that promote expressive, verbal language for preschool-aged children with autism is essential. When a child is lacking the ability to communicate, parents express that they would like their child to speak. B.F. Skinner (1957) proposed that the mand repertoire (communicative requests) should be an initial focus of language training. The purpose of this study was to investigate the frequency with which preschool teachers use a variety of instructional strategies to promote students’ emergent literacy skills during group read-aloud time. These strategies included print-referencing, dialogic reading techniques, and Shared Book Experience practices. More specifically, the researcher compared the teachers’ use of these strategies when reading typical-sized books versus big books. A total of eight preschool teachers participated in this study. The language in a child’s environment either supports or weakens the growth of conflict resolution skills. A study using the language sampled from three early childhood educators, (two in family childcare homes and one in a childcare center) found that those in family child care programs reported stronger beliefs that children can solve problems, teachers support the development of problem solving skills, and conflict can create opportunities for learning than was recorded in practice. This was determined with a frequency count of unilateral strategies employed during perceived conflict. International Journal of Aquatic Research and Education

An increasing interest in the renewal of traditional recreational content and the use of the aquatic environments as educational resources is supported by very few empirical, evidence-based studies that link the two. This quasi-experimental study analyzed the role of stories in influencing perceived motor competence and real motor skills in seventy-eight children ages between 4 and 5 years through the administration of two questionnaires on aquatic motor ability and aquatic motor competence. Differences were found in aquatic motor competence (p < .01) and aquatic motor ability (p < .05) for the experimental group, where higher means values were obtained after the intervention. We present this methodological proposal as a useful educational tool for early childhood stimulation with achievements that go beyond motor progress itself.

The purpose of this naturalistic, qualitative study was to document the impact that song and movement had on kindergarten sight word acquisition. To investigate this, 18 kindergarten students were taught 20 new sight words using songs and movement over the course of four weeks. Data was systematically collected and analyzed to determine the specific benefits that song and movement had on kindergartner's sight word learning in regard to automaticity, motivation, and engagement.
