The issue of March 2, 1970 included a letter from Barry Kirschenbaum, art history faculty at EHP in Rome. There was a small article about Operation Pilgrimage which was a weekend of classes and activities for students to visit RISD. Creating weavings on the frame loom is an important method to be investigated in that it is possible to create complex and creative forms without using the intricate process of the harness loom. Because frame loom weaving has so many advantages for secondary art students, it should be investigated and explained so that future teachers, who have had little or no experience with it, could see its value and teach it to their own students.

One of the phenomena of twentieth century America is the enormous growth in size and influence of the advertising industry. It is impossible to avoid the visual and aural images of sultry women and sophisticated men (and various portions of their anatomy), who order, persuade and cajole the public through the media of television, newspapers and magazines. The problem of this study is: (1) to investigate, through related literature, theories of the psychological events which occur in the process of creativity, and other relevant aspects, such as general characteristics of creative individuals, some studies on the relationship of IQ and creativity, environmental factors which effect creative people, and educational insights which are of value to all educators, and (2) to produce a series of original drawings utilizing various drawing media.
