Sebagai saksi perjalanan panjang Kota Depok, SDN Pancoran Mas 2 memiliki nilai penting baik dari segi arkeologi, sejarah, arsitektur, dan juga budaya. Bangunan SDN Pancoran Mas 2 telah ditetapkan sebagai bangunan cagar budaya sehingga aspek pelestarian menjadi satu hal utama yang harus dikedepankan. Pelestarian ini tidak hanya berkaitan dengan aspek kebendaan (tangible), tetapi juga aspek takbenda (intangible), mengingat bahwa bangunan ini merupakan representasi identitas dan warisan budaya milik masyarakat Depok. Seeding Sparks for The Right to Food partnered with Voices of Hunger to disperse a grant to community leaders. These community leaders have projects that are aimed to advance the Right to Food and promote food security. This project interviewed the applicants and pulled out common themes among their responses to further understand their motivations and passions related to food justice.

Arkeologi Masuk Sekolah Desa Salenrang (Maros-Pangkep) merupakan program kepedulian masyarakat Universitas Indonesia (UI) yang bertujuan untuk mengedukasi dan mengetahui potensi bentang alam dan peninggalan arkeologi. Hal tersebut juga bertujuan menumbuhkan sense of belonging terhadap siswa-siswi SD tersebut akan peninggalan nenek moyang mereka. Program dijalankan pada siswa kelas 6 yang berasal dari tiga sekolah, yaitu siswa SDN 221 Inpres Rammang-Rammang, SDN 28 Salenrang, dan SDN 219 Inpres Pannambungan. Gangguan penglihatan yang dapat dicegah dengan deteksi dan pengobatan dini memiliki insidensi yang tinggi, salah satunya gangguan penglihatan akibat infeksi kronis pada penderita kusta. Studi menyimpulkan sekitar 14,3% penderita kusta mengalami kebutaan pada satu mata dan 22,2% penderita kusta mengalami gangguan penglihatan. Dengan angka yang cukup tinggi, pemeriksaan mata, terutama pemeriksaan visus, menjadi pemeriksaan skrining yang penting bertujuan untuk menentukan gangguan penglihatan pada penderita kusta serta untuk klasifikasi WHO mengenai derajat disabilitas kusta sebagai basis data untuk pengobatan dini. Opioid-related deaths are the leading cause of injury deaths in Utah. Individuals who seek treatment for opioid misuse report stigma from healthcare professionals as the leading barrier to accessing treatment. Health professionals provide a variety of treatment options in efforts of combating high rates of opioid misuse. However, these professionals may not be properly trained in stigma reduction strategies, thus leading to poor client care and outcomes. The current study examined the association between contact with individuals who misuse opioids and stigma perceptions among healthcare professionals. Venezuela's sociopolitical landscape has deteriorated significantly over the past decade, culminating in a profound humanitarian crisis. This ethnography, conducted from 2015 to the present, explores the experiences of a study group comprising 2000 Venezuelan communication college students, aged 17 to 25, who navigate structural violence while striving for quality higher education. The research employed a multifaceted approach, encompassing interviews, focus groups, and observations. Additionally, this qualitative study examines the outcomes of implementing an interdisciplinary journalism curriculum grounded in human rights and media activism, complemented by online sessions and an environmental education component. Climate protests have been recognized as a catalyst for social transformation. Previous studies focused on protests in Western countries where protests were abundant. Few studies paid attention to regions where protests were scarce. As a first step towards understanding the reasons for climate protest scarcity in East Asia, we used Resource Mobilization Theory and explored factors correlated with climate protest significance among different countries. In addition to confirming factors already identified in previous studies (e.g., the density of non-governmental organizations), we uncovered two novel factors: working hours and trust in strangers. This research project delves into the landscape of community organizations that serve the immigrant population in Louisville, Kentucky, focusing on 6 key entities: La Casita Center, Kentucky Refugee Ministries, Catholic Charities of Louisville, English Conversation Club, Backside Learning Center, and American Community Center. Through a combination of interviews, phone calls and research, we discovered the roles, missions, and offered services by each organization. Through these methods, we identified some of the critical needs within the immigrant community and examined how these organizations address them. This project was completed as my final honors project for Bowling Green State University in the spring of 2024. I wrote and illustrated the children's book, "Take a Closer Look," designed for kindergarten through second-grade children. The goal of the book is to be used as a value-socialization device to instill positive perspectives on aging within younger generations. The book itself is meant to be an intergenerational tool as adults read the book about older adults to children, reaching the entire lifespan.

Rotating Credits and Savings Associations (ROSCAs) are present in much of the developing world and are incredibly common in Cameroon. The financial impacts of ROSCAs have been researched extensively, but there has been less research on the social impacts and non-financial benefits. This research aims to fill this gap and add to the discussion of ROSCAs in Cameroon (called njangis), as well as demonstrate how njangis are social institutions. This project is in the specific context of njangis in Batoufam and Yaoundé, Cameroon. Morocco’s disaster management strategy has evolved in reaction to historical crises. On September 8th, 2023, the Al Haouz region of Morocco was struck by a 7.2 magnitude earthquake. The area was especially vulnerable to such a disaster due to its underdeveloped infrastructure, remote location, and lack of services. As the last phase of the disaster management cycle is unfolding, seven months after the earthquake, this research assesses the successes and challenges of the response and establishes areas of improvement to implement in national policies to optimize future crisis management across all four stages of the disaster management cycle.

The Guna Yala Comarca is the autonomous, self-governed territory of the Guna people, one of seven Indigenous groups in Panama. The Comarca is located on Panama’s eastern Caribbean coast and includes 365 coral islands. Forty nine Guna communities and roughly 32,000 individuals live in the territory. The Guna General Congress is the highest authority, and each community has a local congress. As a low-lying coastal region, Guna Yala is especially vulnerable to climate change and is already impacted by sea level rise, biodiversity loss, and changing precipitation patterns.
