المستخلص يهدف هذا البحث إلى اختبار دور فجوة الهوية التنظيمية في زيادة سلوك العمل المنحرف لعينة من العاملين في معمل سمنت الكوفة , إذ تم توزيع (307) استمارة استبيان على العاملين ورؤساء الأقسام في معمل سمنت الكوفة. وبعد تفحص الاستمارات المسترجعة استبعدت (15) استمارة لعدم صلاحيتها وعدم تحقيق الشروط المطلوبة للإجابة عن الاستبيان، وبذلك يكون عدد الاستمارات الصالحة للدراسة والتحليل (292) استمارة. يضم مفهوم فجوة الهوية التنظيمية متغيرين هما خصائص هوية المنظمة الحالية وخصائص هوية المنظمة المثالية او المرغوبة اما متغير سلوك العمل المنحرف فيتكون من ثلاث أبعاد رئيسة هي: سلوك العمل المنحرف تجاه المنظمة، و سلوك العمل المنحرف تجاه …

ملخص الدراسةتهتم الدراسة الحالية باستكشاف طبيعة تأثير معوقات تطبيق الإدارة الالكترونية على وظائف إدارة علاقات الزبون، اتخذت الدراسة من موظفي مصرف الرافدين عينة لها، حيث تم توزيع استمارة استبيان بواقع (60) استبانة (50) استبانة صالحة للتحليل و(10) استبانة غير صالحة أي نسبة استجابة تبلغ 83 % وجرى تحليل البيانات باستخدام الأساليب الإحصائية الملائمة (الأوساط الحسابية والانحرافات المعيارية والارتباط والانحدار). وبعد تحليل النتائج، أتضح وجود علاقة ارتباط وأثر بين معوقات تطبيق الإدارة الالكترونية وإدارة علاقات الزبون. وخرجت الدراسة بجملة من الاستنتاجات أهمها المحاولات جادة من قبل المصرف لتطبيق الإدارة الالكترونية لتسهيل إجراءات العمل الإداري وتقليل الوقت والجهد والسرعة في انجاز العمل. …

ملخص الدراسةتتناول الدراسة مدى تأثير محاسبة القيمة العادلة على جودة المعلومات المحاسبية. وتتمثل مشكلة الدراسة في السؤال الرئيسي التالي: ما هو تأثير تطبيق محاسبة القيمة العادلة على خصائص المعلومات المحاسبية؟ وذلك بهدف بيان تأثير استخدام القيمة العادلة على جودة المعلومات المحاسبية.ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تمّ إتباع المنهج الاستقرائي والاستنباطي والمنهج الوصفي ،حيث تمّ في الجانب النظري من الدراسة مراجعة الأدبيات ذات الصلة بمحاسبة القيمة العادلة، واستخدم المنهج الاستقرائي في تحليل المشكلة وتحديد مكوناتها، بينما اعتمد الباحث على المنهج الاستنباطي في صياغة فروض البحث. أما المنهج الوصفي فقد تم الاعتماد عليه في الجانب الميداني.ومن أهم النتائج التي تم التوصل إليها: تساهم القيمة …

Public Policy and Administration Lecture Series

Odette Yousef is the North Side Bureau reporter for WBEZ 91.5FM, Chicago’s NPR affiliate. She works in one of three urban community bureaus to extend Chicago Public Media’s coverage to people and places that may not always make it into mainstream news outlets. In particular, Odette focuses on issues relating to Chicago’s Asian-American populations, as well as many other minority populations that live in the city’s far North Side neighborhoods. Prior to coming to Chicago, Odette was a reporter with WABE FM in Atlanta, and worked at NPR in Washington, DC. She also co-hosts the television show My Chicago on …

Public Administration Master’s Projects

Gender inequality affects many women in the workplace creating a wage gap. If found, a solution to this problem could dismantle barriers and close the gap. The extent to which women are aware of the glass ceiling and where to find help was studied through an online survey. One hundred and thirty eight women from the public, non-profit and private sectors completed the six-question survey. The results show that women in the non-profit sector are more likely to know of the glass ceiling but also are more likely not to know where to find help when compared to the other …

The Edward J. Collins, Jr. Center for Public Management was hired by the City of Fitchburg to perform organizational studies of three departments, including the Information Technology (IT) Department, the Law Department, and the Purchasing Department. All three of the studies were to review the respective departments’ organizational structures, responsibilities, and practices with a goal of identifying areas of improvement that could result in improved operations and time and cost savings (IT and Purchasing) and areas in need of improvement (Law Department).

This paper focuses on this assessment specific to four: civic participation, housing, transportation, and outdoor spaces and buildings. Four others targeted for study by others include respect and social inclusion, communication and information, community and health services, and social participation. Each domain is reviewed from the perspective of older adults and older although this assessment also benefits people of all ages and abilities. Some data and references were only available with population breakouts of those aged 65 years and older and are noted appropriately.

Imagining The Unimaginable: Torture And The Criminal Law, Francesca Laguardia

Department of Justice Studies Faculty Scholarship and Creative Works

This article examines the use of torture by the U.S. government in the context of the late 20th-century preventive turn in criminal justice. Challenging the assumption that the use of “enhanced interrogation tactics” in the war on terror was an exceptional deviation from accepted norms, this article suggests that this deviation began decades before the terror attacks, in the context of conventional criminal procedure. I point to the use of the “ticking time bomb hypothetical,” and its connection to criminal procedure’s “kidnapping hypothetical.” Using case law and criminal procedure textbooks I trace the employment of that narrative over several decades, …
