Penelitian bersifat kualitatif melalui wawancara secara mendalam untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis bagaimana keterlibatan Organized Crime pada perilaku suap di kalangan penegak hukum itu terjadi, faktor-faktor penyebab suap, proses terbentuknya perilaku suap, bagaimana koloni suap di kalangan penegak hukum terjadi, serta kontrol lembaga penegak hukum terhadap proses hukum. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa perilaku suap di kalangan penegak hukum selama ini telah berjalan secara sistemik dan membudaya. Aktivitas Organized Crime semakin memengaruhi perilaku tersebut. Masalah penyalahgunaan narkotika adalah masalah nasional, prevalensi pengguna narkotika di Indonesia mencapai 1,77% atau sekitar 3,3 juta orang dengan berbagai tingkat penggunaan (BNN, 2017). Mempertimbangkan besarnya masalah ini, perlu untuk meningkatkan Pencegahan, Pemberantasan Penyalahgunaan dan Peredaran Narkotika oleh semua Kementerian dan Lembaga terkait melalui sinergi berkelanjutan. Untuk mencapai sinergi ini Presiden melalui Instruksi Presiden no. 6/2018 telah memerintahkan berbagai kementerian dan lembaga untuk secara aktif berpartisipasi di Indonesia bebas dari masalah penyalahgunaan narkotika dan salah satunya adalah melalui program rehabilitasi untuk penyalahguna dan pecandu narkotika.

Dalam studi tentang demokrasi modern, para ahli telah membedakan antara pemahaman demokratis dan teori demokrasi. Perbedaannya membantu menjelaskan pendekatan terhadap subjek demokrasi menurut para pakar ilmu politik. This dissertation allowed the researcher to analyze 171 pieces of youth-created artwork and narratives by children aged six to nine who took part in the peace education, mentorship, and literacy program, READING PEACE PALS, implemented with an underserved population at a Boys and Girls Club in the U.S. Qualitative content analysis (Krippendorf, 1980; 2004) was used to analyze the artwork and narratives to gain insight into children’s conceptualization of peace, violence, and bullying and their strategies for addressing bullying and violence.

In this study, the policies and legislation connected to the Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act between 2001 and 2012 were reviewed and analyzed to identify how the DREAM Act perpetuates structural violence. The DREAM Act purported to assist many undocumented immigrant children and young adults in becoming legal residents of the United States of America. Research indicates that workers spend the majority of their lifetime at work and that unresolved conflict is one of the largest reducible costs in organizations. However, the majority of employee conflicts are not accurately addressed by rights-and-power based conflict management systems. Analyzing four congressional hearings that publicly discuss the CIA’s ‘secret’ drone program, this thesis considers the interaction between publicity and secrecy in facilitating practices of later-modern warfare. Specifically, I examine the content of these drone hearings within the broader context of leaks, Obama administration speeches, and public interest in CIA drones to better understand how open secrecy engages with public oversight. I argue these hearings are deceptively productive. While they largely fail as oversight events, the hearings facilitate numerous unexpected outcomes—including the normalization and entrenchment of the CIA drone program. Paradoxically then, publicity proves essential to the maintenance and acceptance …

Researchers have found an overlap of psychological symptoms in victims of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Continuous Traumatic Stress. Although the circumstances inducing the psychological reactions are different, the symptoms mimic one another without a clear cut demarcation, calling for practitioners to be cautious of contexts inducing psychopathology that is triggered through re-experiencing of past trauma when they are assessing and intervening with ongoing trauma-exposed communities. The purpose of this quantitative cross-sectional study was to obtain a more accurate diagnosis of the factors that incite terrorism through examining the extent to which independent variables (the Group Grievance Index (GGI), the Legitimate State Index (LSI), and the External Intervention Index (EII)) can predict the dependent variable (the level of global terrorism (GTI)) for the period between 2006-2017.
