Artikel ini menggambarkan fenomena cyberculture yang mencakup setiap aspek kehidupan sehari-hari dan kehidupan akademik. Revolusi informasi dari 3.0 ke 4.0 memunculkan perubahan radikal dalam konteks sosial- budaya menjadi fenomena digital, seperti ekonomi digital, kejahatan dunia maya, perang dunia maya, atau pertahanan virtual. Sejalan dengan argumen ini, penulis setuju dengan Klaus Schwab bahwa industri 4.0 akan berubah, tidak hanya konteks sosial-budaya, tetapi akan berdampak pada individu dan masyarakat juga sebagai "manusia digital". Kebijakan kepemilikan asing di sektor Perbankan Indonesia sangat longgar jika dibandingkan dengan negara- negara sekitarnya. Pelonggaran sektor keuangan dilembagakan melalui Undang-Undang No. 10/1998 tentang Perbankan. Selain itu, dalam Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia (PP) No. 29/1999 tentang Pembelian Saham Bank Umum, mengatur bahwa pihak asing dapat memiliki saham bank komersial hingga 99 persen. Liberalisasi perbankan tidak terlepas dari kondisi ekonomi pada akhir tahun 1997 yang mengalami krisis ekonomi. How does the extent to which rebel organizations are embedded into local conflict contexts - i.e. the extent to which they "fit in" or "stand out" from local populations - affect their behavior on and off the battlefield during civil war? This dissertation examines why rebel group propensities to engage in governance and violence during war vary at the macro and microlevels of analysis and uses as its point of departure the presence of foreign fighters in the ranks of rebel groups engaged in civil war. Penelitian bersifat kualitatif melalui wawancara secara mendalam untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis bagaimana keterlibatan Organized Crime pada perilaku suap di kalangan penegak hukum itu terjadi, faktor-faktor penyebab suap, proses terbentuknya perilaku suap, bagaimana koloni suap di kalangan penegak hukum terjadi, serta kontrol lembaga penegak hukum terhadap proses hukum. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa perilaku suap di kalangan penegak hukum selama ini telah berjalan secara sistemik dan membudaya. Aktivitas Organized Crime semakin memengaruhi perilaku tersebut. Masalah penyalahgunaan narkotika adalah masalah nasional, prevalensi pengguna narkotika di Indonesia mencapai 1,77% atau sekitar 3,3 juta orang dengan berbagai tingkat penggunaan (BNN, 2017). Mempertimbangkan besarnya masalah ini, perlu untuk meningkatkan Pencegahan, Pemberantasan Penyalahgunaan dan Peredaran Narkotika oleh semua Kementerian dan Lembaga terkait melalui sinergi berkelanjutan. Untuk mencapai sinergi ini Presiden melalui Instruksi Presiden no. 6/2018 telah memerintahkan berbagai kementerian dan lembaga untuk secara aktif berpartisipasi di Indonesia bebas dari masalah penyalahgunaan narkotika dan salah satunya adalah melalui program rehabilitasi untuk penyalahguna dan pecandu narkotika.

Dalam studi tentang demokrasi modern, para ahli telah membedakan antara pemahaman demokratis dan teori demokrasi. Perbedaannya membantu menjelaskan pendekatan terhadap subjek demokrasi menurut para pakar ilmu politik. Analyzing four congressional hearings that publicly discuss the CIA’s ‘secret’ drone program, this thesis considers the interaction between publicity and secrecy in facilitating practices of later-modern warfare. Specifically, I examine the content of these drone hearings within the broader context of leaks, Obama administration speeches, and public interest in CIA drones to better understand how open secrecy engages with public oversight. I argue these hearings are deceptively productive. While they largely fail as oversight events, the hearings facilitate numerous unexpected outcomes—including the normalization and entrenchment of the CIA drone program. Paradoxically then, publicity proves essential to the maintenance and acceptance …

The purpose of this quantitative cross-sectional study was to obtain a more accurate diagnosis of the factors that incite terrorism through examining the extent to which independent variables (the Group Grievance Index (GGI), the Legitimate State Index (LSI), and the External Intervention Index (EII)) can predict the dependent variable (the level of global terrorism (GTI)) for the period between 2006-2017. The study included data from the 162 member states of the United Nations, covering 99.7% of the world's population.
