Combining Crf And Deformable Part Model For Pedestrian Detection, Ma Ji, Jingjiao Li, Ma Li, Zhao Yue
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Pedestrian detection has been widely used in many fields. It is one of the focus in computer vision. The part-based detection method in the pedestrian detection shows excellent performance and has a strong adaptability in posture change of human body. But it is not good for Occlusion problem. When the Discriminative threshold is higher, miss rate is very high. Considering the disadvantage of LSVM method for mining hidden information, a two layers classifier was proposed based on the deformable parts model establishing conditional random field model for Occlusion problem. For learning model parameters, the stochastic gradient descent and …

Planar Structure Reconstruction For Indoor Scenes With Kinectfusion, Chenjianong Cai, Yifei Shi, Xu Kai, Dang Gang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Online scanning and reconstruction with KinectFusion has greatly improved real-time reconstruction of indoor scenes with consumer depth camera. However, due to the limitation of depth resolution of current depth cameras, the quality of reconstructed scenes is in general unsatisfactory. This is especially true for planar structures which are commonly seen in indoor scenes and important in defining the major structure of an indoor room. A novel method was proposed for extracting and reconstructing planar structures from point clouds of indoor scenes scanned acquired by KinectFusion.

Advances In Research And Application Of In-Situ Visualization, Wang Fang, Sikun Li, Zhao Dan, Zeng Liang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Scientific-Visualization is the most effective means of analyzing numerical simulation data. With the continuous improvement of the high performance computing technology, numerical simulation scale is growing rapidly. It is very difficult to analyze large scale parallel numerical simulation data efficiently due to the limits of IO bandwidth, storage system capacity and post processing pattern of visualization. In-situ visualization utilized the same computer system that ran the simulation tasks to operate visual computing and rendering, so it could overcome the limits of IO and storage system. The advances of in-situ visualization in recent years were reviewed, including data management, large-scale …

3d Model Retrieval Based On Hand-Drawn Sketches, Dianhui Mao, Huanpu Yin, Haisheng Li, Cai Qiang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Currently, retrieve 3d models use hand-drawn sketch as query has become an active research field. In the Bag of Feature (BoF) framework, the granularity of the distinction and expression brought by the "hard clustering" is insufficient. To solve this problem, a new method was proposed: GALIF feature was extracted from each sketch and the set of view images of models. BOF was replaced by a feature coding based on “soft clustering”--Gaussian mixture model. A fast and effective manifold ranking algorithm was used to calculate the manifold similarity between images, giving the final retrieve results. The previous methods …

Modeling And Simulation Of Nonlinear Ultrasonic Evaluation For Steel Damage By Finite Element Analysis, Yanyan Liu, Shiwei Ma
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: A method was developed to theoretically determine the creep damage of steel by using the nonlinear ultrasonic technique. A two-dimensional finite element model was built to simulate the creep damage of the material and the ultrasonic wave propagation through the degraded material. The nonlinear phenomenon of wave distortion was due to the microstructural changes of the material, which caused distortion that accumulated with propagation distance. Based on the model, the nonlinear parameter of the second-harmonic wave increased with the increase of temperature, which gave some guidelines for the evaluation of the early stage of the degradation of mechanical properties …

3d Reconstruction Of Weak Texture Image Based On Tensor Voting And Dense Map Method, Mingwei Chen, Yang Yang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Image based 3D reconstruction method can't effectively detect and match feature points and can't robustly expand 3D point cloud in weak texture image region, due to the fact that weak texture has single color and local reflection phenomenon. It is possible to produce model hole and a large number of 3D noise points, and affect the accuracy and integrity of 3D reconstruction. Slack variables constraint was used to filter mismatch features optimizing the camera matrix, in the dense point cloud expansion stage by using tensor voting principle to filter noise 3d point which is inconsistent with three-dimensional point's normal …

International Programs
Ammonia presents high efficiency in freezing food products for preserving them for exportation; however, the use of this refrigerant implies a high risk to human life because it presents high concentrations of toxic gases that can produce deadly consequences to human beings. Smart relays present a flexible manner to automate industrial process; therefore, this poster aims to replace the manual and inefficient manner of controlling ammonia cooling system by using a smart relay that can control the levels of this refrigerant in the precooler and cooler section; resulting in considerable decrease workers’ in exposure to this refrigerant.

Texture Classification Based On Multi-Scale Wavelet, Liao Ning, Lisha Xu, Xiaoshan Qian
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Texture analysis is quite sensitive to rotations. An efficient approach, called Invariant Contourlet-Fourier Descriptor, was proposed to achieve rotation invariance in texture analysis by extracting a set of Shannon entropy in contourlet domain. Discrete Fourier Transform analysis was applied to entropy vectors of each scale to form rotation invariant feature vectors, the dimensionality of which was reduced further due to the symmetry of DFT magnitude spectrum. Two classifiers, including the well-known Euclidean distance and Support Vector Machine, were studied to measure the distance between the known and unknown features. Experimental results on 1500 texture images show that …
