Quantum computing is a form of computation that uses the principles of quantum mechanics to perform mathematical computations at a faster rate than classical computers. Although quantum computing is currently still in its early stages, if a general-purpose, large-scale, and fault-tolerant quantum computer were to be built, it would jeopardize the security of modern public-key cryptosystems. If these cryptosystems were broken, secure connections could not be authenticated, enabling Man-in-the-Middle (MitM) attacks, and digital messages could not be signed. All data sent over secured HTTPS and/or TLS connections would be vulnerable and potentially malicious since its origin and integrity could not …

Context: Acquired brain injury (ABI) can result in executive impairments that can detrimentally impact an individual’s level of insight into the changes in functioning caused by their ABI. This, along with the difficulty professionals have in identifying executive impairments and relating these to functional changes, can lead to wrongful assumptions of functional abilities among those affected. Objective: This study aimed to explore the experience of individuals with ABI who demonstrate an impairment of insight with a view to documenting specific examples of impaired insight. This quantitative correlational research study explored whether burnout (BO) is correlated with perceived organizational support (POS) in special education teachers (SETs) working with moderate to severe disabilities (MSDs) students during distress, and whether spirituality moderates the correlation. SETs working with MSD students face a heightened risk of BO, yet there is little literature exploring how organizational or spiritual resources help. Exploring these factors is necessary to strengthen SETs’ well-being. The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to explore how autistic mothers raising children with autism describe the support they received and the barriers they faced when leaving an IPV environment. The guiding theory for this study was Ecological Systems Theory, which was utilized to explore vulnerability to exploitation through aggressive abuse histories, normalization of violence, and the inability to see red flags in potential relationship partners. The perceptions of what constitutes a healthy romantic relationship impact relationship choice that, when unhealthy, has long term effects on mental and emotional wellbeing. This qualitative study explored how African American/Black adolescents ages 18–19 define, perceive, and experience healthy romantic relationships. Using focus group methodology, the study addressed four research questions concerning (1) definitions and perceptions of healthy romantic relationships, (2) influences on relationship beliefs, (3) essential components for maintaining relationship health, and (4) lived experiences with healthy romantic relationships. Background: Anthracyclines, notably doxorubicin, are potent cytotoxic agents that substantially improved outcomes across numerous malignancies. However, their use is restricted by their cardiotoxicity, a dose-dependent adverse effect that manifests acutely, during treatment, or years post-therapy. It encompasses a spectrum of phenotypes including asymptomatic ventricular dysfunction, heart failure, arrhythmias, and cardiomyopathy, contributing to considerable morbidity and mortality as cancer survival rates improve. We report the first case of unilateral pulmonary edema (UPE) in our series of 150 patients undergoing minimally invasive mitral and tricuspid valve surgery via right thoracotomy. A 30-year-old female with rheumatic heart disease developed UPE requiring temporary extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support postoperatively. The patient recovered uneventfully and was discharged on postoperative day 15. This case underscores the importance of recognizing and mitigating UPE in minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS).

Across the judicial landscape of U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeals, no state shall deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law or at the prerogative of Congress and HHS. Veiled behind the complexity of administrative law, 42 C.F.R. § 59.10(b) precludes parental consent notifications for all Title X services for all parents. In 2020, the HHS Final Rule came to light after the District Court for the Northern District of Texas vacated the directive. However, Americans are starting to worry that pesticides are infiltrating their food, namely their fruits and vegetables, and they would not be incorrect. Across many studies, surveys consistently find that 60% of Americans believe pesticides are bad for their health and have admitted to refraining from buying produce due to pesticide labeling.
