Interoperability across Modeling and Simulation (M&S) and Command and Control (C2) systems continues to be a significant problem for today's warfighters. M&S is well-established in military training, but it can be a valuable asset for planning and mission rehearsal if M&S and C2 systems were able to exchange information, plans, and orders more effectively. To better support the warfighter with M&S based capabilities, an open standards-based framework is needed that establishes operational and technical coherence between C2 and M&S systems.

We review three areas of recent research on Hudson River bay anchovy. One focus has been the along-estuary movement of early life stages. A cohort analysis of samples collected in a spatiotemporally extensive monitoring program has confirmed that early-stage anchovy migrate up-estuary, at an estimated rate of 0.6 km/d. Complementary fine-scale field sampling was designed to clarify behaviors that effect the migration. This work found that early-stage anchovy can show preferences for depth and can conduct periodic vertical migration. To determine whether these behaviors were sufficient to produce up-estuary migration, larval flux and velocity were estimated. These estimates were consistent …

First-year law students arrive for their first day of classes with varying perceptions about the practice of law and what it means to be a lawyer. Although some students have first-hand knowledge of the profession based on their work in a law office or from family members who are attorneys, many students base their entire conception of what it means to be a lawyer on images from popular media. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan efektivitas penggunaan alat peraga IPA (Fisika) dilihat dari ketersediaan alat peraga di sekolah, penggunaan alat peraga, baik di kelas maupun di laboratorium, dan prestasi belajar siswa kelas I pada 10 SLTPN di Kota Yogyakarta dalam mata pelajaran Fisika.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan populasi penelitian seluruh siswa kelas I pada 10 SLTPN di Kota Yogyakarta. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi di kelas dan di laboratorium, wawancara dengan guru fisika, angket untuk guru fisika, dan dokumen prestasi belajar IPA (Fisika) siswa kelas I. Penelidan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif diskriptif dengan memaparkan data yang disusun dalam instrumen dan data yang ditemukan di lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan perencanaan, prosedur pengesahan, pelaksanaan, mekanisme dan bentuk laporan, serta evaluasi anggaran berbasis sekolah, pengaruh pola manajemen keuangan terhadap kinerja sekolahj dan upaya sekolah menumbuhkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam membantu dan mengawasi penyelenggaraan pendidikan di sekolah.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen sekolah. This paper presents a Probabilistic Road Map (PRM) motion planning algorithm to be queried within Dynamic Robot Networks—a multi-robot coordination platform for robots operating with limited sensing and inter-robot communication. First, the Dynamic Robot Networks (DRN) coordination platform is introduced that facilitates centralized robot coordination across ad hoc networks, allowing safe navigation in dynamic, unknown environments. As robots move about their environment, they dynamically form communication networks. Within these networks, robots can share local sensing information and coordinate the actions of all robots in the network. This paper deals more with domestic calls for reform, focusing on Gamal Mubarak as the bet of the Egyptian government and the Egyptian Movement for Change – a.k.a. KEFAYA - as the representative of other reform-seekers. Through comparing them both, the paper will assess which party intends or has better chances of achieving desired levels of reform.

A series of field experiments to assess the efficacy of enhancing intertidal areas with cultured clam (Mya arenaria L.) seed (mean shell length [SL] = 7-10 mm) was conducted at Willows Flat, Hampton, New Hampshire from November 2004 to May 2005 and from June - October 2005. The first trial examined the interactive effects of size of planting area (4, 8, 12, 18 m2) and predator deterrent netting (none, 4.2 mm, and 6.4 mm aperture [flexible, plastic netting]) on clam growth and survival at one intertidal location. The goal of this project was to provide data for two NHEP indicators of estuarine condition: TOX1 and TOX3. These two indicators report on “Shellfish tissue concentrations relative to FDA standards” and “Trends in shellfish tissue contaminant concentrations”, respectively. Both of these indicators depend on data from the Gulfwatch Program. In particular, TOX3 requires annual data at benchmark sites to assess trends. In 2003 and 2004, the NHEP supported the collection and analysis of tissue samples from benchmark sites in Portsmouth Harbor, Hampton-Seabrook Harbor and Dover Point.

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mengupayakan peningkatan efektivitas pronunciation bahasa Inggris pada siswa SMPN 1 Sewon melalui pendekatan analisis kontrastif.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah seorang guru praktisi dan 40 siswa kelas IE SMPN 1 Sewon semester II tahun ajaran 2003/2004. Data penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif yang berupa perilaku guru dan siswa selama dan setelah tindakan berlangsung. Data diperoleh melalui: (1) observasi, (2) wawancara, dan (3) angket. Kemudian, data dianalisis secara kolaboratif melalui tiga alur kegiatan model interaktif, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.
