A secure adaptive password reset technique is proposed herein that enables a passkey‑first, risk‑adaptive enterprise password reset system that binds reset authorization to device trust and behavioral risk, producing phishing‑resistant recovery without sacrificing usability. The system issues a short‑lived reset token cryptographically bound to a verified Web Authentication (WebAuthn) assertion (when available) or to a policy‑selected fallback factor set driven by a composite risk score. The proposed system adds replay‑safe tokenization, three‑minute transaction windows, and full observability for audit and anomaly detection, and integrates with existing identity providers (IdPs) and directory systems through a modular orchestration layer.

Dynamic voltage drop during scan-shift operations serves as a prominent cause of yield loss in advanced semiconductor nodes. This occurs when large numbers of flip-flops toggle simultaneously, creating a spike in current demand that results in localized voltage droops. These droops lead functional chips to fail manufacturing tests, resulting in false failures. Standard mitigation methods (e.g., reducing clock frequency or applying heuristic gating) provide a means of managing these voltage drops but often increase testing duration or lack a provable mathematical basis.

Abstract

In digital imaging Low light image improvement is a crucial issue, with applications in medical imaging, surveillance and digital imaging. Images captured under substandard illumination usually appear dark and noisy: contrast is lower, hiding crucial details, while ISO (international Organization for Standardization) settings introduce grainy noise that devalue quality. These issues make images a problem for both human interpretation and automated vision system.

Traditional improvement methods such as histogram equalization and Retinex -based techniques enhance brightness but usually cause artifacts to boost noise. Deep learning approaches achieve strong results but require large datasets, heavy computation, and may fail to …

East Tennessee State University is in mourning. The passing of President Emeritus Dr. Paul E. Stanton, Jr., brings deep grief and sadness to the campus community he has so ably served since he and his family moved from Atlanta to Johnson City in 1985.

Transgenes are often silenced upon differentiation of pluripotent stem cells using conventional expression systems. Here, we developed the TK4 PiggyBac vector to conduct a comparative analysis to evaluate the impact of various promoters, transcriptional regulatory elements, insulators, and genomic integration sites on transgene silencing during neuronal differentiation. Our findings reveal that specific combinations of CAG and Ubc promoters with the Woodchuck hepatitis virus post-transcriptional regulatory element (WPRE) can prevent transgene silencing during differentiation, whereas chromatin insulators have less impact on sustained expression. Three novel safe harbor loci, distant from known genes, as well as the citrate lyase beta-like (CLYBL) locus, …

Proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells are promising for clean and efficient energy conversion across diverse applications. High-temperature PEM fuel cells (HT-PEMFCs) using phosphoric acid (PA)-doped polybenzimidazole (PBI) can operate up to 200°C, but at lower temperatures, water-induced PA loss often leads to performance degradation and reduced durability. In this work, we present a new class of main-chain ion-pair PBI membranes by integrating the imidazolium-biphosphate ion-pair units directly into the PBI backbone. This design results in membranes with high acid content, stronger acid-polymer interactions and stabilized acid retention. In single-cell tests, the Im⁺-PBI15-3 wt.% exhibits peak power densities …
