The theory-practice and practice-theory relationship is a fundamental axis in the learning of trainee teachers; therefore, the practicum must constitute the key element in their university training. The research described in this paper, in which students and teachers from the bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education and primary education programs at the University of Huelva in Spain have participated, has been carried out through a descriptive and interpretative qualitative study focused on case studies. This study highlights the need for greater communication between the work experience centers and the university and between the professionals who tutor the work experience period. …

Generation Of Inner Core Anisotropy By Anisotropic Thermal Conductivity Of Iron Crystals, Prajna Paramita Das, Bruce Buffett, Daniel A. Frost

Seismic anisotropy in the Earth’s inner core refers to the observation that seismic waves travel faster along the Earth’s rotation axis than in the equatorial plane, a feature inferred from decades of global seismological observations. This directional dependence of wave speeds provides important clues about the structure, composition and dynamics of the inner core. Here we explore a coupled thermo-mechanical mechanism for the generation of inner core anisotropy, focusing on the effects of anisotropic thermal conductivity in iron crystals as the inner core cools. Green hydrogen, produced through water electrolysis, is a key enabler of a low-carbon energy future, and anion exchange membrane electrolyzers (AEMELs) have emerged as a promising technology due to their potential for ultra-low-cost operation. However, achieving low cell voltage at high current densities and maintaining long-term durability remain key AEMEL challenges. To address these issues, most research efforts to date have focused on developing advanced catalysts and membranes. In contrast, the influence of non-material factors, such as cell assembly parameters and operating conditions, remains underexplored, even though they can significantly impact performance. The main goal of surgery for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is to remove the tumor completely while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible to enhance patient survival and reduce complications. However, achieving clear surgical margins is difficult due to the complex anatomy of the head and neck and the reliance on a surgeon’s visual and tactile assessments. Recently, near-infrared (NIR) fluorescence molecular imaging has shown potential for better tumor visualization during surgery, using targeted imaging agents like epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) probes. This paper presents a case study of a quality enhancement process of a small business school in the United Arab Emirates. The research explores this specific quality enhancement process with a focus on why it is implemented by the case institution and how it achieves quality improvement. Research shows that trust in AI is influenced by socio-ethical considerations, technical features of AI systems, and user characteristics. Yet, the mediating role of emotional response between perceived risk and trust remains underexplored, particularly across different AI contexts. This cross-sectional vignette experiment design aims to explore the relationship between users' perceived potential risk, emotional response, and trust in AI, and examine how these relationships vary across different levels of automation and criticality. Background and Objective: 

While vaccination remains central to controlling the COVID-19 pandemic, the emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants with partial resistance to immune responses has highlighted the need for complementary therapeutic strategies. Among these, antiviral agents that inhibit viral entry mechanisms are of particular interest. Animal venoms, especially scorpion venoms, are a rich source of bioactive peptides with potential antiviral properties. This study aimed to evaluate peptides derived from the Moroccan scorpion Androctonus mauretanicus as inhibitors of SARS-CoV-2 spike glycoprotein, which mediates virus entry into host cells via ACE2 receptor binding.

Background: New nurses are the major source of hiring for most hospitals. They fill vacancies left by seasoned nurses. As a result, an experience-complexity gap is created. The turnover of new graduate nurses is as high as 85% in the first two years of employment. Despite previous efforts to improve the transition to practice, turnover at the local level remain high.

Objectives: This study aimed to assess levels of depression, anxiety and stress among parents of neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)-admitted infants at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH) in Muscat, Oman, and to examine their association with parental sociodemographic characteristics and infants' clinical factors. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted at SQUH between December 2024 and March 2025 and included parents of NICU-admitted infants.
