Design-Based Research (DBR) has recently received a significant amount of attention in the educational research literature of the 21st century. This work analyses the understanding of DBR as the research methodology, why, and how it can be applied in educational research to bring a practical outcome and improve educational practices. Besides, this work reflects on a step-by-step implementation of the Hands-on Instructional Model (HIM) designed to enhance the development of chemistry learners’ curiosity and problem-solving skills. However, actionable guidelines to promote a holistic adaptation and the effective functioning of destination marketing/management organizations (DMOs) in the increasingly data-infused world are still needed. This article concerns courts whose written opinions have recently cited and quoted Frost and his poetry. By profiling Frost’s enduring influence, the article fortifies a theme I have presented in earlier “Writing It Right” articles. The theme begins in the courts, which in recent years often accent their opinions’ substantive or procedural rulings by quoting or citing well-known cultural markers from literature, sports, or popular entertainment.

In recent years, amid cyclical macroeconomic fluctuations, national economic slowdown, economic restructuring, and over-expansion of some enterprises, a number of listed companies have faced serious debt and operational challenges, many of which are worthy of keeping afloat. From June 1, 2007 when the Enterprise Bankruptcy Law of the People’s Republic of China came into effect, up to the end of 2021, a total of 93 listed companies in China have gone through bankruptcy reorganization, one of the major means to save the listed companies in distress.

We report the detection of GJ 3090 b (TOI-177.01), a mini-Neptune on a 2.9-day orbit transiting a bright (K = 7.3 mag) M2 dwarf located at 22 pc. The planet was identified by the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite and was confirmed with the High Accuracy Radial velocity Planet Searcher radial velocities. Seeing-limited photometry and speckle imaging rule out nearby eclipsing binaries. Additional transits were observed with the LCOGT, Spitzer, and ExTrA telescopes. We characterise the star to have a mass of 0.519 ± 0.013 M_⊙ and a radius of 0.516 ± 0.016 R_⊙. We modelled …

Background: Tapinarof cream 1% QD was efficacious and well tolerated versus vehicle in adults with mild-to-severe plaque psoriasis in 2 double-blind 12-week Phase 3 trials (PSOARING 1&2). We report secondary efficacy from PSOARING 3, the LTE trial assessing tapinarof during intermittent treatment based on Physician Global Assessment (PGA) score.

Methods: Eligible PSOARING 1&2 completers could enroll for 40-weeks’ open-label tapinarof 1% QD and 4-weeks’ follow-up in PSOARING 3. Patients entering with PGA ≥1 were treated until PGA = 0. Patients entering with/achieving PGA = 0 discontinued tapinarof until PGA ≥2, then retreated until PGA = 0.

Recent studies have postulated that outcomes among Black patients are heterogeneous, though previous literature suggests that demographics may play a role in MF.

Topical treatments can provide relief with minimal adverse events (AEs) in patients with atopic dermatitis (AD). Crisaborole ointment 2% is a nonsteroidal phosphodiesterase inhibitor for the treatment of mild-to-moderate AD. The objective was to assess the efficacy and safety of crisaborole ointment in patients with AD who had received prior treatments of corticosteroids [topical corticosteroids (TCS) or systemic corticosteroids)], topical calcineurin inhibitors (TCI) or no prior treatments (treatment-naive). In 2005, a meta-analysis found that varying types of UV exposure contributed to an increased relative risk of melanoma. Recently, a 2021 review failed to establish a similar link in individuals with skin of color. Within the last 2 decades, no studies have comprehensively reviewed the risk of varying types of UV exposure on melanoma in fair skin. Thus, we performed a systematic review from 2002-2021 analyzing UV exposure and melanoma risk in Fitzpatrick type I-IV individuals. Out of 12,263 studies, 26 met inclusion criteria. Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common skin cancer worldwide. Mohs micrographic surgery is a highly used BCC treatment, involving staged resection of the tumor with complete histologic evaluation of the peripheral margins. A reduction in the number of Mohs stages would significantly improve care and could result in substantial economic benefits, estimated at $36 million USD in savings per annum. Presentation: A 3-month-old female presented with congenital onychodystrophy of both upper extremities and unilateral postaxial polydactyly of her left lower extremity. Physical examination was remarkable for dorsal pterygium of both first fingers, triangular lunulae of the 2nd through 5th fingernails, and Type I postaxial polydactyly of 5th digit without evidence of synonychia. Nail-patella syndrome (NPS) was suspected.

Introduction: Intravenous (IV) foscarnet is used for the treatment of acyclovir-resistant herpes simplex virus (HSV). Foscarnet-induced penile ulcerations, thought to be due to an irritant contact dermatitis, can occur where urine contacts the skin, such as the glans penis adjacent to the urethral meatus. We present a gentleman who developed serpiginous papules on the scrotum from foscarnet therapy.

Lebrikizumab, a high-affinity IgG-4 monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin (IL)-13, selectively prevents the formation of the IL-13Ra1/IL-4Ra heterodimer receptor signalling complex. Lebrikizumab demonstrated rapid, dose-dependent efficacy and an acceptable safety profile in patients with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (AD) in a phase IIb trial (NCT03443024). Here, we report 16-week efficacy and safety outcomes of lebrikizumab monotherapy in patients with AD from two ongoing 52-week, randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled phase III trials – ADvocate1 (NCT04146363) and ADvocate2 (NCT04178967). The re-emergence of long-term strategic competition between near-peer competing nations, and the growing congestion of satellites in orbit, coincide to increase the likelihood of disruptive "grey zone" activities in space, falling short of war. With the growing prevalence of commercial satellites, the threat of disruptive activities affects commercial interests in addition to government space missions. The current system of space law provides little protection for commercial actors in space from the effects of disruptive activities. As managed retreat programs expand across the globe, there is an urgent need to assess whether these programs are reducing exposure to climatic hazards, enhancing adaptive capacity, and improving the living conditions of communities in a just and equitable manner or are they exacerbating existing risks and vulnerabilities? Strictly speaking, are retreat programs successful? Using an expansive intersectional justice approach to examine 138 post-resettlement case studies published between 2000 and 2021 across the Global North and South, we identified five typologies of success – techno-managerial, eco-restorative, compensatory, reformative, and transformative – and their trade-offs and synergies.
