Introduction:
Surgeons experience disproportionately high rates of work-related musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders due to prolonged static postures, repetitive motions, and suboptimal instrument design. Gynecologic surgery, in particular, involves sustained non-neutral positioning and physical strain, yet formal ergonomic education is lacking. This study aimed to evaluate gynecologic surgeons’ awareness of ergonomic principles and determine whether targeted education improves knowledge and recognition of ergonomic risk factors during surgery.

Methods: A quality improvement intervention was implemented at a large teaching hospital. Eighty-three recorded gynecologic surgeries (open, laparoscopic, and vaginal) were analyzed for common postural deviations based on ergonomic guidelines. The most frequent errors were …

We disclose a neuromodulation system implementing closed-loop, magnetically-mediated temporal interference stimulation (m-tTIS). While inspired by traditional electric tTIS, the disclosed architecture utilizes coherent magnetic field synthesis for non-invasive tissue penetration. To suppress electromagnetic interference (EMI) below functional detection thresholds and limit hardware-induced demodulation artifacts, an "Absolute Optical Air-Gap" architecture is detailed. The device is partitioned into galvanically isolated domains, interconnected exclusively via plastic optical fiber (POF). The power stage employs a Class D amplifier with a second-order LC filter and hardware current sensing for amplitude stabilization. We present Pith, a cognitive architecture that provides persistent, governed memory for large language model (LLM) agents. Unlike stateless retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems or simple key-value memory stores, Pith implements a multi-layered governance stack that manages the full lifecycle of learned knowledge: acquisition, belief state management, temporal decay, contradiction detection, authority scoring, and cross-session coherence. We describe the architecture's core components — a five-state belief lifecycle, four-tier feedback system, knowledge area segmentation, and a novel behavioral benchmark (CogGov-Bench) for evaluating governance effectiveness. Abstract

The GCI Temporal Artifact Inspection Instrument is a human-in-the-loop optical metrology device that reveals temporal visual artifacts in digital displays and video sources. The instrument uses photodiode-based refresh timing measurement, phase-locked loop synchronization, adjustable shutter phase offset, lock-quality feedback, calibration modes, automatic phase-sweep artifact discovery, preset display profiles, and session logging to support repeatable forensic inspection of motion discontinuities, flicker, frame pacing irregularities, compression instability, refresh mismatch artifacts, and other time-domain visual defects. The device functions as a synchronized optical inspection tool rather than an automatic authenticity detector.

Large language models (LLMs) engaged in extended dialogues may exhibit "tone inertia," where a model's style can become fixed and may not adapt when a conversational topic shifts, potentially leading to contextually inappropriate responses. A system can manage this behavior by algorithmically decoupling conversational context into components, such as a factual context for semantic knowledge and a stylistic context for tone and stylistic profile. This results in a drifting effect that reduces the perceived impact and immersion of the generated content. To mitigate this, a reinforcement learning framework utilizes a signal-based reward mechanism to synchronize visual motion with audio energy. Presented herein is a system, referred to as Transaction-Outcome Driven Adaptive Logging (TODAL), that is an innovative system that resolves the critical trade-off between comprehensive diagnostic logging and operational efficiency on complex network devices. It achieves this by capturing all log data at the highest verbosity into an internal buffer, then intelligently processing and outputting only key summary information for successful operations, while providing full detailed logs exclusively for failed transactions. This approach not only ensures comprehensive troubleshooting data is always available when needed, but also significantly reduces system resource consumption and extends the effective retention period of relevant logs.
