Self-Calibrating Product Adoption Measurement System, Chady Saad, David Wolder, Bruce Mcmurdo, Ravi Garg, Tim Barnes

Proposed herein is a self-calibrating system for measuring product adoption that continuously adapts how adoption is interpreted as customer behavior, peer usage patterns, and product capabilities evolve. Rather than relying on static thresholds or manually defined success criteria, the system dynamically evaluates feature enablement and engagement relative to cohort behavior and customer-selected outcomes. The resulting adoption measurements provide an objective, context-aware view of true adoption progress that remains accurate as products and customer usage mature over time by dynamically recalibrating milestone thresholds and cohort baselines from live peer telemetry distributions.

Nutrition and sleep are key health behaviors supporting athletic performance. Collegiate athletes in the United States (U.S.) are at high risk of insufficient dietary intake and nightly sleep given the competing demands of elite sports and academics. Researchers have developed interventions to improve collegiate athletes’ sleep and nutrition, either individually or collectively. However, progress in understanding how best to create sustained behavior change in this population has been slow. [Objective] To systematically evaluate the comprehensive effects of high-pressure processing (HPP) on microbial inactivation, physicochemical properties, and volatile aroma compounds of golden tea beverage, and to optimize a non-thermal processing technique, in response to the negative impact of conventional thermal sterilization on its quality. [Methods] Golden tea beverage was treated under different pressure-time combinations using HPP. Microbial indicators were determined, and microbial inactivation kinetic models were established. Changes in physicochemical properties (tea polyphenols, free amino acids, total soluble sugars, pH, and color) were analyzed, and sensory evaluation was conducted to determine the optimal processing parameters. Tannins are among the most important polyphenolic compounds in red wine and play a central role in determining color stability, flavor complexity, and aging potential. This review systematically summarizes the classification, structural characteristics, and the distribution and transformation mechanisms of tannins in red wine. It focuses on the differential effects of soft tannins, hard tannins, and polymerized tannins on the formation and maintenance of wine color, as well as their roles in astringency, bitterness, aroma coordination, and flavor persistence. Current data suggests that the U.S. is on track to end the HIV epidemic for white people but not for Black, Latine, and other people of color. National initiatives have emphasized diversifying the workforce as part of the response to inequities in HIV outcomes, and yet the field remains staffed predominantly by white service professionals. Importance: Despite evidence that enhanced recovery protocols (ERPs) improve outcomes in adults undergoing surgery, adoption for pediatric populations has lagged.

Objective: To assess the implementation and clinical effectiveness of a consensus-based ERP for pediatric patients undergoing elective gastrointestinal (GI) surgery.

Design, setting, and participants: A prospective type 2 hybrid implementation-effectiveness, stepped-wedge, cluster-randomized by entry date into implementation phase, trial of pediatrics patients, 10 to 18 years of age, undergoing elective GI surgery at 18 US sites from September 2019 to June 2024.

3D-printed firearms pose a serious threat to the public by allowing individuals to circumvent traditional regulatory safeguards. Although the first shot from a 3D-printed firearm was over a decade ago, these weapons continue to exploit gaps in the federal regulatory scheme. In the meantime, state governments have adopted a variety of approaches to regulating 3D-printed firearms. Although the United States joined the Berne Convention in 1989, U.S. copyright law reflects a restricted approach to moral rights protection. Unlike many Berne signatories, the U.S. largely frames copyright as an economic right rather than as a way to protect artistic integrity. Japanese law, by contrast, treats moral rights as central to creative work protections, emphasizing the importance of the work’s dignity and author’s intent. This incongruity has significant consequences in the globalized era, particularly when foreign works are distributed within the U.S. Weak statutory moral rights protections leave authors vulnerable to misattribution and distortion without meaningful recourse. Recurving tropical cyclones (TC) in the Western North Pacific can affect the atmospheric circulation over Pacific‐Western North America (PWNA) via interactions with the midlatitude circulation. Using reanalysis and tropical cyclone best‐track data, we examine how recurving TCs that make extratropical transition modulate 500‐hPa ridge characteristics over PWNA during the peak (June‐September) and late (October–December) seasons. TCs recurving at lower latitudes are associated with more intense and poleward‐centered ridges relative to TCs recurving at higher latitudes, and TCs that recurve farther west are associated with relatively westward‐centered ridges. Parenting can be a stressful time. There are many factors that can influence how burdened a parent feels. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mental load of invisible labor household tasks undertaken by adult parents in the United States. This was accomplished by administering a survey that integrated a household task instrument to measure mental load and demographic information. The survey was distributed online via social media. Participants took the survey on Qualtrics. 161 participants responded to the survey. The Civil Court denied the landlord's motion to dismiss an HP proceeding challenging the argument that Housing Court lacks subject matter jurisdiction to enforce the Housing Maintenance Code because CCA § 110(a) does not explicitly refer to "special proceedings." The court held that CCA § 110(a) charges the Housing Part with enforcement of housing standards broadly, and that HP proceedings serve a broad statutory enforcement mechanism in the public interest, not merely individual landlord-tenant disputes.
