This course provides an opportunity for the counselor-in-training to begin to develop and refine their individual and group counseling skills within the functional milieu of a clinical mental health or school setting. All practicum activities are closely supervised by university and field-based supervisors. Prior to entry into the course, all students must provide to the instructor verification of having current professional liability insurance. The WSU Counselor Education Program as well as CACREP requires students to complete a supervised counseling practicum of a minimum of 100 hours. Students will learn to utilize diagnostic information to facilitate the initiation and implementation of case management strategies, treatment plan development, and therapeutic intervention with people seeking/receiving mental health counseling services. Instructional methodology will include lectures, case studies presented in class, diagnosis and treatment planning activities using dyadic and small group activities, and other instructional modalities designed to facilitate the learning process.

This article explores ways pedagogical approaches in music librarianship and music theory can enhance each other. It emphasizes two broad benefits for students when library instruction is incorporated into music theory courses. First, what music librarians have to offer can be incredibly relevant to music theory instruction. Second, since music majors take music theory early in their degrees, library instruction in these courses allows them to get to know their librarians right away when they enter college. 背景和目的
香港人口老齡化和長期病患者的增加，令到更多老年人需要人照顧。現時社會對孫輩照顧者的認識不足，使到他們缺乏適切支援服務。本研究旨在探索孫輩照顧殘疾或患有慢性疾病的祖父母的情況，並提出政策與服務建議。嶺南大學亞太老年學研究中心聯同救世軍護老者協會及救世軍護老者服務於2024年4月25日舉辦了「孫輩照顧者的需要、實踐及政策」研討會，各方持份者分享他們對支援孫輩照顧者的經驗和看法，共同尋找方案支援這類照顧者。

研究方法
本研究於2023年4月至12月期間，採用深度訪談 (in-depth interview) 方式，訪問了共40位年齡介乎13至63歲的孫輩照顧者，瞭解他們成為照顧者的主要原因、提供了甚麼照顧，以及照顧過程中面對的困難。

研究結果

• 大部分受訪的孫輩照顧者 (67.5%) 為次照顧者，近半受訪者每周提供20小時以上的照顧工作。
• 共有47位祖父母/外祖父母受到照顧，年齡介乎62至99歲。大部分被照顧者 (91.5%) 行動不便，或患有長期病患 (76.6%)。被照顧祖父母當中過半 (57.4%) 沒有與孫輩同住，8.5%為獨居。
• 孫輩成為照顧者有數個原因，包括家庭成員無法提供照顧、減輕父母的壓力和回饋祖父母過往照顧之恩。
• 孫輩照顧者的照顧角色與他們的年齡、生活狀態、能力，以及被照顧者的需要有關。大部分孫輩照顧者和家人分擔照顧工作，並得到他們的協助。孫輩照顧者會主動運用各種輔助設備，以提高照顧成效。
• 孫輩照顧者除了要面對一般照顧者的困難外 (如支援服務及資訊不足、身心壓力和社交限制)，他們面對的壓力還包括學業及就業、家庭角色的衝突、「夾心」照顧者面對多重壓力，以及缺乏社會的認同。
• 政策建議
  研究報告建議政府須加強院校對就學照顧者的支持、提供額外假期予在職照顧者、將照顧者主題納入中學課程、推廣朋輩支援小組、提供線上及晚間照顧技巧課程、開發多元化暫託服務、建立個案管理制度，以及推動樂齡科技之運用。

Given the recent slowdown in EV adoption rates in many countries despite decreasing battery prices, a better understanding the relationship between battery and EV prices is critical for industry and policymakers. We fill this gap in the literature by assessing to what extent ongoing increases in EV battery capacities have increased EV prices, and how this compares with actual EV battery prices. Specifically, we use fixed effects regression analysis to investigate the responsiveness of EV list prices to changes in battery capacity over time, finding evidence that increases in battery capacity led to increases in EV prices that are substantially …

This article explores new features of Google’s NotebookLM, an AI-powered tool designed for advanced document analysis and educational content generation. Tested on the 92-page transcribed diary of Mary Easton Sibley, the founder of Lindenwood University, NotebookLM effectively generated FAQs, a study guide, a table of contents, a briefing document, and an audio overview in podcast format. By transforming static historical documents into dynamic learning materials, the document-based AI model provides a user-friendly interface for educators and students, especially those without experience in audio editing or podcasting. The Dynamic Role Of Subsidies In Promoting Global Electric Vehicle Sales, Tamara L. Sheldon, Rubal Dua

We offer the most comprehensive analysis to date of global plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) subsidies, a key part of countries’ strategies to reduce transport carbon emissions and meet Paris Agreement goals. We accomplish this by estimating vehicle choice models for 23 countries using 2010–2019 sales data and using counterfactual simulations to assess the cost-effectiveness of PEV incentives. We also provide the first-ever analysis of medium-run effects, finding that subsidies increase sales not only in the year they are offered, but also in subsequent years. Plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1/Serpin E1) is classically known for its antifibrinolytic activity via inhibiting uPA and tPA of the fibrinolytic pathway. PAI-1 has a paradoxical role in tumor progression, and its molecular functions are poorly understood. PAI-1 is a widely accepted secretory protease inhibitor, however, a study suggested the localization of PAI-1 in the cytoplasm and the nucleus. Besides the plethora of its biological functions as a secretory protein, intracellular localization, and functions of PAI-1 remain unexplored at the molecular level. Improving photovoltaic systems to better withstand variations in temperature and irradiance, lessen steady-state ripples, maintain high efficiency, require less tracking time, and have minimal complexity is becoming increasingly important. The PV array's overall power output is negatively impacted by partial shading because the shaded cells produce less power and consume less power overall, which lowers efficiency and creates localized hotspots. Although bypass diodes may be used to counteract these impacts by rerouting current around cells that are shaded, they can result in several peaks, which complicates maximum power point tracking (MPPT). This study investigates the impact of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling parameters on Cu-Al-Mn SMAs (Shape memory alloys) to evaluate the effects on Surface Roughness (SR) and Material Removal Rate (MRR). The primary variables examined comprise of cutting speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. Results indicate that the Shape Memory Effect (SME) is higher in Copper Aluminium Manganese (CAM 3) compared to CAM 1 and CAM 2, with SME improving from 3.5% to 5.5% as Manganese (Mn) content increases, reflecting an increase in dislocations within the metal’s crystal structure. Underground cables with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation are integral to medium voltage (MV) power transmission systems, ensuring continuous electricity supply amidst operational challenges and environmental conditions. However, the reliability of these cables can be compromised over time due to aging and installation-related factors, particularly at joints and terminations. This study offers a comprehensive analysis of how various defects, including spherical air voids, pinholes, and irregularities in semiconducting layers, affect electric field and potential distributions within cable end terminations using COMSOL Multiphysics software.
