Generation retirement studies are a critical part of long-term transmission planning, as power systems transition toward higher penetration of renewable energy and the retirement of conventional generation. However, existing study workflows are often fragmented across multiple tools and platforms such as PSS/E, TARA, Python, and Excel resulting in time-intensive processes, limited scalability, and reduced reproducibility. This paper showcases an integrated automation tool developed for generation retirement studies that is designed to streamline and unify the end-to-end analytical workflow.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly influencing teaching and learning in higher education, particularly following the emergence of generative AI technologies. Despite rapid growth in publications, the pedagogical structure and intellectual development of this research remain unclear. This study employs bibliometric analysis to examine AI scholarship in higher education published between 1989 and January 2026, with a specific focus on teaching- and learning-oriented research. Bibliographic data from the Web of Science Core Collection yielded a final dataset of 1,654 peer-reviewed journal articles. Performance analysis and science-mapping techniques were used to investigate publication trends, thematic evolution, collaboration networks, and intellectual foundations. Results …

Patient satisfaction is an important indicator for assessing the quality and performance of hospital services as it reflects patients’ experiences through the healthcare delivery process; this study explore how patient satisfaction toward hospital services in public and private hospitals by analyzing 23 selected scientific articles published between 2015 and 2024 and gathered from ProQuest, Scopus, PubMed, and ScienceDirect databases from an initial total of 176 articles founded based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the findings indicate that service quality has a significant impact toward patient satisfaction in both types of hospitals, with private hospitals generally demonstrating higher satisfaction levels …

Acceptance sampling plans are widely used in Statistical Quality Control to determine the acceptance or rejection of production lots based on sample inspection. Classical sampling plans under the binomial distribution assume precise parameter values, which may not adequately represent uncertainty, vagueness, and indeterminacy encountered in practical inspection environments. This review summarizes acceptance probability formulations for single and double sampling plans developed using fuzzy and neutrosophic logic under the binomial distribution. Multi-criteria decision systems often interpret disagreement among criteria as evidence that some criteria are unreliable. This is problematic when the disagreement reflects a genuine operational trade-off. We develop a reliability-and-admissibility-calibrated q-rung orthopair neutrosophic soft ranking procedure (RAC-qRON) that distinguishes recorded evidence quality from the direction of criterion preferences. An explicitly bounded interval for each alternative–criterion observation is mapped to truth, indeterminacy and falsity memberships, with an admissibility proof for every integer rung q ≥ 1. Criterion weights are adjusted according to recorded information coverage rather than cross-criterion correlation, and a fixed-reference ideal-distance calculation produces an auditable rank. Selecting a classifier using a single average metric can conceal instability across validation splits, poor lower-tail behavior, and sensitivity to input perturbations. This study formulates a context-regulated Q-neutrosophic soft model-selection procedure with two fixed evaluation conditions. For each classifier and performance criterion, mean attainment (truth), across-split dispersion (indeterminacy), and the complement of a lower empirical quantile (falsity) form an auditable three-component descriptor. A bounded lower-context regulator aggregates their penalized utilities; monotonicity and perturbation bounds follow directly from its convex representation. Background:

Head louse pediculosis is a common problem among school-aged children. We assessed parental knowledge and practices about head louse infestations and factors contributing to the spread of head lice in families in Southeast Georgia.

Methods:

A self-administered questionnaire was completed by 197 parents, grandparents or guardians of school-aged children. Responses about participant’s demographics, knowledge about head lice, sources of information, treatment methods used, and behavioral practices that might contribute to head lice exposure and spread. Z-test or Chi-square test were used as appropriate, to identify population proportions across different variables with statistical significance (p-value) of < 0.05.

Turf toe, a traumatic sprain of the first metatarsophalangeal joint capsuloligamentous complex, is a clinically important cause of missed playing time in elite American football players. Low-grade injuries are commonly managed conservatively, whereas complete Grade 3 disruptions present a more complex therapeutic challenge because management depends on joint stability, sesamoid alignment, performance demands, and season timing. Family reunification involves more than returning a child to the care of their biological family; it requires the sustained promotion of child safety, stability, and family well-being. This literature review examined how trauma-informed and collaborative approaches support safe, stable, and lasting reunification within the child welfare system. The review explored adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and developmental, psychological, family, and socioeconomic risk factors associated with child welfare involvement and permanency outcomes, as well as protective factors such as supportive relationships, caregiver well-being, resilience, and access to services and resources. This study examined the effects of EMR features and functionality, technical support and training, and users’ perceptions and attitudes on nurses’ performance at Grha Permata Ibu Hospital. This study employed an analytic observational design with a cross-sectional approach, using a quantitative survey conducted among 74 inpatient nurses through a Likert-scale questionnaire. The study results are expected to identify competency gaps and provide an evidence-based foundation for developing measurable and effective nurse training programs. Wild bees are important pollinators in agricultural systems, yet patterns of wild bee abundance and diversity in commercial lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) fields remain poorly characterized. We conducted a preliminary, observational assessment of wild bee abundance and species richness across organically managed lavender fields, including both certified organic and non-certified fields following organic practices, in Provence, France, between 2022 and 2024. Standardized 15-min collections were used to compare wild bee and managed honey bee activity during 66 sampling events, while additional non-standardized collections were used to characterize and qualitatively compare the taxa present in the different field settings. Animal movement is fundamental to biodiversity, offering early signals of species' responses to environmental change. I first discuss how wildlife movement is shaped by landscape composition and configuration, from global to local scales. I then focus on one linear infrastructure reconfiguring landscapes worldwide: fences. Drawing on research from the western US and beyond, I show how fences reshape animal movement, with cascading consequences for ecosystems and societies. I close with reflections on broadening this science through visual storytelling.
