The disciplines of organisational behaviour (OB) and SCM share much in terms of managing the ongoing occurrence of change. This paper explores the development of these fields with a particular emphasis on how the involvement and engagement of the people [human supply chain continuum] contributes to the achievement of satisfactory change management outcomes. A 16-year-old patient, while an infant, incurred right-sided hemiparesis and had difficulty breast feeding. She was later diagnosed with a neonatal stroke and her genetic testing showed a missense mutation in her PROS1 (Protein S) gene. Both her grandfather and father, but not her mother, had hereditary Protein S (PS) deficiency. The patient was not prescribed any mediation due to her young age but was frequently checked by her physician. Lung Cancer remains the leading cause of cancer deaths in the USA and worldwide. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harbors high transcriptomic intratumor heterogeneity (RNA-ITH) that limits the reproducibility of expression-based prognostic models. In this study, we used multiregional RNA-seq data (880 tumor samples from 350 individuals) from both public (TRACERx) and internal (MDAMPLC) cohorts to investigate the effect of RNA-ITH on prognosis in localized NSCLC at the gene, signature, and tumor microenvironment levels. Alzheimer's disease (AD) is associated with heterogeneous atrophy patterns. We employed a semi-supervised representation learning technique known as Surreal-GAN, through which we identified two latent dimensional representations of brain atrophy in symptomatic mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and AD patients: the "diffuse-AD" (R1) dimension shows widespread brain atrophy, and the "MTL-AD" (R2) dimension displays focal medial temporal lobe (MTL) atrophy. Critically, only R2 was associated with widely known sporadic AD genetic risk factors (e.g., APOE ε4) in MCI and AD patients at baseline. BACKGROUND: A better understanding of the relationships between insomnia and anxiety, mood, eating, and alcohol-use disorders is needed given its prevalence among young adults. Supervised machine learning provides the ability to evaluate which mental disorder is most associated with heightened insomnia among U.S. college students. Combined with Bayesian network analysis, probable directional relationships between insomnia and interacting symptoms may be illuminated.

METHODS: The current exploratory analyses utilized a national sample of college students across 26 U.S. colleges and universities collected during population-level screening before entering a randomized controlled trial. We used a 4-step statistical approach: (1) at the disorder level, …

Neuroinflammation has been implicated in the pathogenesis of several neurologic and psychiatric disorders. Microglia are key drivers of neuroinflammation and, in response to different inflammatory stimuli, overexpress a proinflammatory signature of genes. Among these, Ch25h is a gene overexpressed in brain tissue from Alzheimer's disease as well as various mouse models of neuroinflammation. Ch25h encodes cholesterol 25-hydroxylase, an enzyme upregulated in activated microglia under conditions of neuroinflammation, that hydroxylates cholesterol to form 25-hydroxycholesterol (25HC). 25HC can be further metabolized to 7α,25-dihydroxycholesterol, which is a potent chemoattractant of leukocytes. This article presents a series of recommendations for the publication of archaeological data, to improve their usability. These 12 recommendations were formulated by archaeological data experts who mined thousands of publications for different data types (including funerary practices, accelerator mass spectrometry dating, stable isotopes, zooarchaeology, archaeobotany and pathologies) during the initial construction of the Big Interdisciplinary Archaeological Database (BIAD). We also include data harmonisation vocabularies utilised for the integration of data from different recording systems. The case studies we cite to illustrate the recommendations are grounded in examples from the published literature and are presented in a problem/solution format. Though …

Tattooing has become a prominent form of body modification worldwide since the 20^th century, leading to a revival of traditional hand-tap techniques, especially those from Samoa. The Samoan traditional pe’a (male tattoo) and malu (female) are distinctive, as they are administered by hand-tap tools in open-air bungalows and are to be completed in a short period of time, usually 1-2 days for the malu and a week to a month for the pe’a. Douglas B. Ammar has been an active presence at Georgia Justice Project (GJP) since its beginning in 1986. Starting as a volunteer, then joining as a staff attorney in 1990, Ammar has led GJP as executive director since 1995. GJP has sought to be advocates for clients not only by providing holistic criminal defense and social services, but also seeking systemic change in Georgia law that will reduce the number of people under correctional control and reduce barriers to reentry. This is the first study to investigate the role of NBA player performance on the value of NBA rookie cards of Basketball athletes. Previous studies have found that a player’s race does not affect the price of one’s rookie card. This is the first study to investigate the impact of performance variables, including points per game, rebounds, assists, and steals significantly affect a player’s salary, as well as one’s race, signing a new contract, winning a championship, and appearing in the “all-star” game on the annual change in price of one’s rookie card during the same time period. In the highly competitive airline industry, customer satisfaction and loyalty are significantly influenced by the nuances of flight experiences. A crucial issue, largely overlooked by the literature, is the alignment—or misalignment—between customer evaluations of specific service dimensions and their overall experience ratings. This misalignment is commonly observed in consumer reviews, where high ratings for individual aspects (e.g., seat comfort or in-flight entertainment) may not always translate into equally high overall satisfaction scores, and vice versa. Colvin was appointed to the Georgia Supreme Court by Governor Brian Kemp on July 29, 2021, after having been appointed to the Georgia Court of Appeals by Governor Kemp on April 9, 2020. She previously served as a Superior Court judge in the Macon Judicial Circuit which serves Macon-Bibb, Crawford, and Peach Counties having been appointed by Governor Nathan Deal on April 16, 2014. U.S. GAAP allows many contingent liabilities to remain off-balance sheet, whereas fair value accounting addresses this issue. Our case study examines a company’s contingent liabilities reported under both standards. Our case study was trialed and received positive student feedback for its relevance and engagement; students appreciated the insights gained and found it a refreshing change from typical lessons, with sufficient detail without being overwhelming. Suggestions for improvement included clearer explanations, additional guidance, discussion groups, and links to FASB statements to enhance understanding and provide practical insights. We are currently looking for additional feedback to improve our case!

ASC 350-20 grants public business entities (PBEs) the discretion to determine timely recognition of goodwill impairment charges, which likely introduces managerial ambiguity in the goodwill impairment process. Consequently, this paper explores whether the ambiguity in goodwill accounting standards allows managers to engage in favorable financial reporting during economic unrest, such as the global financial crisis of 2008 and 2009 or the COVID-19 pandemic beginning in 2020. The relationship between farm and retail prices is critical in food supply chains. Marketing costs significantly influence both prices. Higher marketing costs reduce farm demand, lower farm prices, and increase retail prices, consequently lowering farm share of the food dollar. The USDA reports show a decline in the farm share from 18 cents in 2011 to 13.5 cents in 2021 due to rising marketing costs. This paper examines price transmission between farm and retail prices, focusing on the impact of marketing costs using historical data and the VECM.
