Abstract

Worksite wellness programs are increasingly adopted to address insufficient exercise participation and other health-related behaviors that put employees at risk of chronic disease. Although quantitative outcomes are well-documented, there is limited research exploring how employees perceive these programs' impact on personal behavior change, particularly in relation to exercise self-efficacy. Purpose: Parental weight-related communication significantly influences children's body image and psychosocial outcomes(1,2). As digital food media such as mukbang gains popularity, concerns have emerged regarding its impact on parental weight-focused communication(3,4). This study examined psychosocial and media-related predictors of parental weight criticism toward children in Korean families.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 750 Korean parents (N=1,075 parent-child dyads) recruited through stratified sampling. Parents of children aged 8-19 years completed validated questionnaires measuring parental weight bias, mukbang viewing attitudes and time, dissatisfaction with child's body, health concern, and weight criticism. This study identified hierarchical psychosocial and occupational predictors of poor sleep among active-duty military personnel using an interpretable machine learning model.

Pottery once functioned as a necessity for storage and transport. When the the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) transformed river systems in the twentieth century, the Holston Valley and surrounding regions experienced rapid and widespread change. Flood control and electrification changed lifestyles on farms and beyond. Purpose: Lateral electrical surface stimulation (LESS), commercially known as the ScoliTron™, emerged in the late 1970s as a noninvasive alternative to bracing for adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. Early clinical reports generated considerable enthusiasm and adoption, but the technique was ultimately abandoned. Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) includes deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), the latter of which often originates from DVT and can be fatal.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to identify causal genetic factors that alter risk of PE among those with a presumed DVT.

Methods: Using a case-only design of VTE, we conducted meta-analyses of genome-wide association studies (GWASs) in the International Network Against Venous Thrombosis Consortium.
