Mathematical problem-solving ability is an essential competency in mathematics education because it supports students’ reasoning, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. This study aimed to examine the influence of emotional intelligence and logical-mathematical intelligence on the mathematical problem-solving ability of Grade XII students at SMA Negeri 1 Tolitoli. The study employed a quantitative survey design involving 143 students from the Mathematics and Natural Sciences (MIPA) program during the 2023/2024 academic year. Low levels of biological literacy among students, particularly in biotechnology, highlight the need for innovative digital learning media that facilitate meaningful and contextual learning experiences. This study aimed to develop and evaluate an interactive biotechnology e-module based on in silico vaccine design to improve students’ biological literacy. Chlamydia trachomatis is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections, often asymptomatic, yet a major cause of infertility. In clinical practice, vaginal discharge and cervical ectropion are frequently used as syndromic indicators. Background/Objectives: Associations between scores on tests of sensory integration functions demonstrated in numerous studies over six decades have contributed to the development of Ayres Sensory Integration® (ASI) theory and practice. Corporate borrowing creates safe claims for some households and concentrates residual risk in equity for others. This portfolio heterogeneity drives a supply-side channel through which corporate leverage conditions monetary transmission. Tightening erodes equity holders’ wealth while safe-asset holders are cushioned; the resulting income effect makes aggregate labor fall more at high leverage, raising the sacrifice ratio. A static model yields a closed-form hump in leverage, with the US range on the rising side, disciplined by Survey of Consumer Finances portfolio shares. A calibrated dynamic model roughly doubles the sacrifice ratio, and US local projections agree in sign, shape, and timing.

Accounting standards require firms to distinguish recurring revenues and expenses from nonrecurring gains and losses, which are often referred to as special items. However, not all special items are genuinely nonrecurring. Exploiting the setting of earnings conference calls, we explore whether analysts can identify opportunistic special items, as evidenced by asking for more information about them. We find evidence that managers' discussions of special items more often relate to predicted special items, whereas analysts have more questions about potentially opportunistic special items. Background: Mirizzi syndrome (MS) is a rare complication of chronic gallstone disease, specifically cholecystolithiasis. Diagnosing MS is challenging due to the inflammation that hinders the identification of bile duct complications. Laparoscopic surgery is not recommended due to the risk of intraoperative injuries. Mirizzi syndrome is characterized by an impacted stone at the gallbladder neck that compresses the common hepatic duct and eventually causes ductal erosion. Various imaging modalities facilitate the diagnosis of Mirizzi syndrome.

Atorvastatin is one of the most widely prescribed lipid-lowering therapies worldwide. Although its cholesterol-lowering effects are well established, the broader systemic metabolic signatures associated with atorvastatin exposure across large human populations remain incompletely characterized. We performed a retrospective metabolomic meta-analysis of human blood samples from approximately 4,000 individuals across six cohorts to identify metabolites most positively and negatively associated with atorvastatin levels. Circulating metabolites spanning both lipid and non-lipid classes were identified as associated with blood atorvastatin levels. Atorvastatin levels were associated with a distinct blood metabolomic signature comprising coordinated changes across multiple metabolite classes. Negatively associated metabolites were dominated …

This review synthesizes current global and regional research, with a particular focus on microbiome characteristics in Saudi Arabia. The complement system is a central component of innate immunity that coordinates host defense, immune surveillance, and inflammatory responses through tightly regulated proteolytic cascades. Genetic variation within complement genes contributes substantially to interindividual differences in complement activity and disease susceptibility. While coding variants directly alter complement protein structure and function, the microRNA (miRNA)-mediated control and post-transcriptional regulation is not fully understood in shaping complement gene expression across immune and inflammatory mechanisms. In Indonesia, routine immunization coverage has shown a post-pandemic recovery trend; however, disparities in access to health services and surveillance quality persist across regions. Measles remains a public health concern in Indonesia, including Jakarta, contributing to the country’s disease burden. Sustained transmission during 2022-2024, despite reported vaccination coverage above 90%, suggests the presence of vulnerable groups. This study aimed to describe patterns and identify factors associated with laboratory-confirmed measles in Jakarta during 2022-2024. A cross-sectional study was conducted using routine surveillance data from all individuals reported as suspected measles cases during the study period. Descriptive analysis summarizes the distribution, while multivariable analysis identifies associated factors. Of the 4,194 suspected cases of measles, 22.8% were laboratory-confirmed positive. Data from the 2018 Indonesian Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) demonstrates a marked increase in stroke prevalence, rising from 7% in 2013 to 10% in 2018. This upward trend is accompanied by a notable epidemiological shift, with stroke no longer predominantly affecting older adults ≥65 years, but increasingly occurring among the productive-age population (15–64 years). Background: Early-onset fetal growth restriction occurs before 32 weeks of gestation and increases the risk of hypoxia, preterm birth, and perinatal mortality. Early detection using Doppler velocimetry in high-risk pregnancies reduces complications, emphasizing the importance of timely intervention to improve fetal outcomes.
Objectives: To assess newborn outcomes in cases of early-onset fetal growth restriction and how they relate to clinical variables and Doppler ultrasonography results.
Methods: This retrospective study included 158 patients with records of deliveries at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Independent t-tests, Fisher's exact tests, and chi-square tests, with significance set at p < .05, were performed.

Responding to concerns about the long-term value of foreign language education, this exploratory survey-based study examines how Russian language learners (N = 321) continued to use the language after completing a summer immersion program. The study investigates language use in personal and professional contexts and identifies resources alumni used, recommended, and needed to maintain proficiency. Although opportunities for conversational practice were limited, and interaction in Russian was one of the activities alumni needed but often viewed as unattainable, about 60% of participants continued using Russian at least occasionally. Accurate estimation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from oil and gas (O&G) systems is essential for strengthening Malaysia’s national greenhouse gas inventory and supporting its Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) under the Paris Agreement. Current inventory estimates rely predominantly on Tier 1 default emission factors, which may not adequately represent country-specific operating conditions and gas characteristics. This study develops Tier 2 country-specific emission factors (CSEF) for venting, flaring, and all other fugitive emissions across Malaysia’s O&G systems. Sustained injectivity is a controlling operational requirement for geological CO2 storage in deep saline aquifers because near-wellbore permeability loss can restrict injection rates, accelerate pressure build-up and reduce storage efficiency. In sandstone reservoirs containing reactive or mobile clay minerals, CO2-saturated brine may induce coupled geochemical and colloidal processes that cannot be interpreted through bulk porosity change alone. This review critically synthesises evidence on CO2-brine-rock interaction, clay mineral response, fines detachment, pore-throat restriction and injectivity impairment in sandstone systems. Hilsa, Tenualosa ilisha (Hamilton, 1822), is one of the favourite and popular tropical fish in the people of South-East Asia due to its delicious taste and flavour. This study investigates the comprehensive amino acid profiles of various fishing locations of Bangladesh to assess the protein quality and nutritional values. Fourteen free amino acids were identified from the six riverine locations of Bangladesh.
