Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have well-defined pore structures. Epitaxial MOFs can produce films with uniform pore sizes and open porosity. However, the growth of epitaxial MOF thin films has remained a challenge. Herein, we demonstrate a cathodic electrodeposition method for the epitaxial growth of a well-known MOF material, copper (II)-benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylate (Cu-BTC), from solution precursors. The epitaxial electrodeposition of Cu-BTC was achieved in a Cu (NO₃)₂-H₃BTC-H₂O₂ bath using H₂O₂ reduction to deprotonate the H₃BTC molecule. Cardiovascular disease continues to be the leading cause of death worldwide. Despite the availability of evidence-based guidelines recommending routine cardiovascular risk screening, tools such as the atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) Risk Estimator are underutilized in primary care settings. This quality improvement project implemented an evidence-based educational intervention to enhance healthcare providers' knowledge, self-efficacy, and consistent utilization of the ASCVD Risk Estimator within a primary care setting. Simulation-based education continues to transform nursing pedagogy by enhancing instructional effectiveness and clinical competency through experiential learning. In undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs, faculty often face challenges when teaching complex skills such as respiratory system assessment due to variability in lung sound exposure and reliance on peer-based instruction. The project aimed to evaluate whether the implementation of a high-fidelity auscultation task trainer could improve faculty knowledge and self-confidence in teaching respiratory assessment in a BSN Health Assessment course. This study evaluates the performance of U.S. data center Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) relative to major equity and technology benchmarks, using monthly returns from January 2000 through December 2024, with particular emphasis on the COVID-19 period and the subsequent post-vaccine era. Data center ETFs have not provided better risk-adjusted returns even though they are often advertised as access points to the digital economy. Digital infrastructure demand increased through the pandemic but did not improve the performance of these funds which stayed weak across both traditional and conditional multi-factor asset pricing models. Architectural design holds a powerful potential in the face of wildfire threats, yet remains underutilized in fire resilience strategies. This study will explore how design, at the level of the house, street, and community, can move beyond code compliance toward holistic protection. Through analysis of principal fire codes such as IWUIC, CBC Chapter 7A, and NFPA 1144, visual diagrams, precedent case studies, and original architecture proposals, the paper proposes a multiscale design framework that expands our understanding of resilience. Long intergenic non-coding RNA 00,511 (LINC00511) is considered an oncogene for various cancers. However, the association between LINC00511 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and colorectal cancer (CRC) remains unclear. Our study aims to study whether LINC00511 SNPs could predict CRC susceptibility or prognosis, an important step-toward precision-health, based on an Egyptian CRC patient cohort. A total of 200 CRC patients and 200 cancer-free controls were genotyped for three LINC00511 SNPs − rs9906859, rs1558535, and rs17780195 using qRT-PCR. Background Skeletal muscle atrophy during cancer-induced cachexia remains a significant challenge in cancer management. Mitochondrial defects precede muscle mass and functional losses in models of cancer cachexia (CC). We hypothesized targeting Opa1-a key regulator of mitochondrial fusion-can attenuate LLC-induced CC outcomes.

Methods We utilized 1) in vivo transgenic Opa1 overexpression (OPA1 TG) in LLC-induced CC in vivo, and 2) BPG15 administration to induce Opa1 in vitro and in vivo.

Results OPA1 TG attenuated plantaris, gastrocnemius, and EDL loss with LLC in males and alleviated gastrocnemius loss infemales. OPA1 TG had greater mitochondrial respiration in plantaris and white gastrocnemius, and lowered …

Students form beliefs about their academic abilities through a combination of emotional experiences and early learning environments. While prior research has documented how math anxiety can undermine performance and how early experiences with math-typed activities can foster positive attitudes, less is known about how these factors collectively influence students’ math confidence. The present study investigates how math anxiety, engagement in childhood math-typed activities, and perceived support for math-related learning contribute to college students’ confidence in their math abilities. Article 31 of the introduction of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) legally protects children’s right to rest, leisure, play, recreation, and cultural and artistic activities. Concerns for the adequate realisation of Article 31 have been longstanding, with the right to play particularly requiring greater attention. This research aims to understand how states are self-reporting right to play observance within the wider context of Article 31 rights. Caregivers of individuals recovering from stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), or experiencing onset of dementia often are provided limited education and support after discharge, negatively impacting confidence and recovery outcomes. The Caremaster program was designed to bridge the educational gap between occupational therapists in the clinical setting and caregivers in the home settings through accessible online modules, support groups, and in-person demonstrations. This case study explored the implementation of a gamified Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program in a small rural pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade public school in New England. The study was conducted in response to a significant decline in school climate and staff morale, paired with rising rates of student disciplinary incidents and teacher turnover. Facing unique contextual challenges such as high rates of poverty, adverse childhood experiences, and community-level trauma, the school adopted an innovative approach by embedding game-based strategies into an existing PBIS framework.

Background/Objectives: Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is an aggressive, molecularly heterogeneous subtype of breast cancer, accounting for approximately 10–15% of all cases. While reproductive and metabolic factors contribute to breast cancer development, growing concerns about environmental exposures, alongside biological and socio-cultural influences, underscore the need for targeted prevention strategies across diverse populations. Despite increasing evidence linking biological, socioeconomic, and environmental factors to TNBC outcomes, the molecular mechanisms underlying these relationships remain poorly understood. Within an ever-evolving radio-frequency (RF) environment, designers are required to adapt systems to increasingly constricted parameters. The available tools continually grow to match this need, but so does the complexity in using them. The radio-frequency system-on-chip (RFSoC) is an innovation that combines a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) with an integrated RF chain. Designing with an RFSoC allows for high-precision data transmission, sampling, and processing, but it can be difficult and time-consuming to develop specialized circuits. One-third of the world’s freshwater crayfish species face extinction risk, necessitating extreme and urgent conservation measures such as captive rearing. Little information exists on these measures for most threatened species. The hairy marron, Cherax tenuimanus (Parastacidae), is a critically endangered freshwater crayfish endemic to the Margaret River in south-western Western Australia. C. tenuimanus is being rapidly replaced by the smooth marron, Cherax cainii, a translocated congener, causing its progressive decline in range, and now it faces imminent extinction in the wild. Background Water and food insecurity can harm mental health; all 3 may, in turn, be exacerbated by humanitarian crises. The linkages between food insecurity, water insecurity, and mental health are gaining attention but have not been investigated after a natural disaster.

Elastic waves are waves that propagate by causing deformations in an elastic medium such as metal, rock, or rubber. The main characteristic of elastic wave motion is the coexistence of multiple types of waves at once in the medium, including compressional and shear wave components. This type of motion can be used to study the impacts of physical phenomena such as earthquakes. The purpose of this study was to compare mental health diagnoses in a sample of youth with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and youth without ASD (non-ASD) admitted to inpatient hospitals across the United States. We hypothesized that autistic youth would have a greater proportion of co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses compared to their typically developing peers. To do this, we conducted a cross-sectional analysis of the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) 2019 Kids’ Inpatient Database (KID). We compared the proportions of co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses between autistic and typically developing youth. Compared to 21% of non-ASD admissions, 36% of the ASD admissions …
