Study On The Road Performance Of Recycled Asphalt Mixture With High Rap Percentage Based On Precision Separation Technology, Wang Haixiong, Tang Wei, Gao Xinglong, Fan Xiangyang, Yan Chunpeng

Journal of China & Foreign Highway

The variability of recycled asphalt pavement (RAP) is one of the key factors limiting its high-content use in recycled asphalt mixtures (RAM). Although the RAP variability and clustering phenomenon can be effectively reduced by the precision separation (PS) technology, the road performance of RAM based on this technology requires further investigation. To address this issue, RAP materials were pre-processed using PS technology, followed by a comprehensive evaluation of the road performance of the RAM through rutting tests, freeze-thaw splitting tests, and beam bending tests. In addition, the influences of PS-RAP content and rejuvenator content on the road performance were analyzed. …

Journal of China & Foreign Highway

To address the challenge of pile foundation waste slurry disposal, this study proposes a resource utilization approach based on alkali activation technology, enabling rapid solidification of the waste slurry into a flowable solidified soil suitable for engineering backfill. An orthogonal experimental design was employed to determine the optimal mix ratio of the solidifying agent, identified as cement:slag:fly ash = 0.5:0.35:0.15, with NaOH accounting for 6% of the total mass. Based on this, the mechanical and durability properties of the solidified soil were systematically investigated. Results indicate that within a certain range, both unconfined compressive strength and splitting tensile strength increase …

Robust Pid Control Of A 2 Dof Robotic Arm Actuated By Permanent Magnet Dc Motors: Lyapunov’S Stability Analysis And Simulation Results, Erik Chumacero-Polanco

Informatics and Engineering Systems Faculty Publications

We present a robust PID control for a 2 DoF exoskeleton actuated by permanent-magnet direct current (PMDC) motors. The control design exploits the architecture of the exoskeleton’s dynamical model, which is regarded as the interconnection of a mechanical and an electrical subsystems. The inner loop control for the mechanical subsystem uses robust PID control while the outer control loop uses a model-based control for the electrical subsystem. Lyapunov’s second method is used to show asymptotic stability of the position and velocity tracking error equilibrium point. Asymptotic stability in Lyapunov sense is proved in a twofold procedure. First, it is shown …

Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry

Genotypic variation plays a pivotal role in modulating the activity of nitrogen (N) assimilating enzymes, photosynthetic rate, N accumulation, plant growth, and yield. Despite this, the extent to which growth and N-assimilating enzymes exhibit differential responses across genotypes and their influence on yield and nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) remains inadequately explored. This study aimed to elucidate genetic variations among two inbred maize lines (Huang C and 178) and their hybrid (Huang C × 178) for key morphophysiological and biochemical traits under contrasting N conditions. Multivariate statistical methods, including principal component analysis (PCA) and structural equation modeling (SEM), were used to …

Turkish Journal of Agriculture and Forestry

Environmental factors such as salt stress inhibit the growth of plants and agricultural productivity. Exogenous amino acid application has been shown to benefit plants. However, the effect of cysteine application on salt stress reduction in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is unknown. This study examined how exogenous cysteine could reduce salt stress in 2 chickpea cultivars with different salt tolerances. Salt-resistant Gökçe and salt-sensitive Küsmen cultivars were subjected to 100 mM NaCl stress with or without a 100 μM Cys pretreatment. Without Cys pretreatment, salt stress caused the sensitive Küsmen variety to lose 1.49 times its dry weight and 1.35 times …

From Techno-Stressors To Techno-Exhaustion: The Mediating Role Of Techno-Anxiety In It Workplace, Jeevan Jyoti, Mehmood Ahmad, Mehak Mahajan

International Journal of Applied Management and Technology

The widespread use of information and communication technology in modern workplaces has intensified techno-stress. This study examines the impact of techno-stressors—techno-overload and techno-complexity—on techno-anxiety, its role in driving techno-exhaustion, and the mediating effect of techno-anxiety in this relationship. Data from Indian IT sector employees, collected via snowball sampling, was analyzed using structural equation modeling in AMOS (Version 23). Our findings revealed that techno-overload and techno-complexity significantly heighten techno-anxiety, which, in turn, exacerbates techno-exhaustion. Techno-anxiety serves as a crucial mediator in linking stressors to exhaustion. The study offers theoretical insights and practical implications, and emphasizes managerial strategies, employee support, and socio-technical …

Variations In Extreme Wet Days During The Ond Rainy Season In Tanzania And Their Linkages To Atmospheric-Oceanic Anomalies, Philemon Henry, Paul Ts Limbu

Tanzania Journal of Science

Extreme rainfall remains one of the leading natural disasters in Tanzania, affecting the majority of citizens and the country’s economy. Understanding the seasonal patterns and associated atmospheric and oceanic anomalies could help mitigate their impacts. The current study investigates changes in seasonal extreme wettest days (EWDs) rainfall in Tanzania and the associated atmospheric and oceanic anomalies during October-December (OND), from 1981 to 2020. EWD is defined as days when daily rainfall meets or exceeds the 99th percentile. Singular value decomposition (SVD), Mann-Kendall, t-test, and Pettitt test methods were applied in this study. The results indicate that approximately 2 EWD …
