This paper presents the mechatronic design of a proposed six-degree-of-freedom (6-DOF) stationary lower limb rehabilitation exoskeleton (SLLRE) robot, developed through a comprehensive mechatronic design methodology that includes mechanical design, actuator and sensor selection, and the development of a control structure based on a safety-oriented control approach. This paper presents a Fuzzy-SPT (Fuzzy Set-Point Tracking) controller designed to combine the strengths of FLC (Fuzzy Logic Control) and PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) control while mitigating their limitations across varying operating conditions. Inspired by state-dependent reasoning but implemented within a single controller, the method uses internal logic to adapt the control effort across different operating regions. FLC handles rapid changes and nonlinear transients, enabling fast system response without overshoot, while PID-like integral action is activated when the FLC reaches steady state or enters a threshold region near the set point, eliminating residual errors and maintaining stable performance. Empirical Analysis Of Machine Learning Models For Predicting Equipment Failures Using Iot Sensor Data, Yusuf Shodiyevich Avazov

This article examines the problem of detecting and predicting industrial equipment faults using IoT sensor data through machine learning techniques. Sensor readings such as temperature, vibration, pressure, voltage, and current, as well as FFT-based features, were statistically analyzed. Class imbalance and low signal informativeness were identified as key factors limiting model accuracy. Results obtained from Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and XGBoost models were comparatively evaluated, showing that when ROC-AUC values remain around 0.5, distinguishing fault and non-fault states becomes challenging. Correlation and feature-importance analyses confirmed the absence of strong dominant indicators. The findings highlight the need to improve sensor architecture …

This paper presents a critical review of modern control methods applied to industrial gas-fired furnaces. Conventional PID controllers and their advanced modifications, including Advanced Process Control (APC) and cascade control schemes, are analyzed alongside Model Predictive Control (MPC) approaches. In addition, intelligent control algorithms—such as fuzzy logic and neuro-fuzzy systems (Fuzzy, ANFIS)—are examined. Despite its practical significance, existing methodologies often suffer from a reliance on single-stream skeletal representations, which fail to encompass the full complexity of action features. This study introduces Latent Features for Human Action Recognition (LFHAR), a novel architecture designed to overcome these limitations by utilizing diverse spatio-temporal latent representations for improved feature extraction. The gut microbiome has emerged as a key regulator of human health, influencing not only metabolism and immunity but also the development and treatment of cancer. Mounting evidence suggests that microbial dysbiosis contributes to oncogenesis by driving chronic inflammation, producing genotoxic metabolites, altering bile acid metabolism, and disrupting epithelial barrier integrity. OBJECTIVE: Including conditions like obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia, metabolic syndrome disrupts metabolic homeostasis and impairs recovery, increasing the risk of surgical complications. This study evaluates the impact of metabolic syndrome on spine surgery outcomes, addressing inconsistencies in the existing literature.

METHODS: Four databases were searched until December 2024 for studies comparing the postoperative complication rates of spine surgeries between patients with and without metabolic syndrome. Following deduplication, 2 authors independently reviewed the studies. For each included study, demographics and incidence rates of postoperative complications were extracted separately by 2 authors. Objectives: This in-vitro study aimed to evaluate whether different deep margin elevation (DME) thicknesses (1 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm) influence the fracture resistance and fracture type of molars restored with CAD/CAM lithium disilicate overlays, compared to no elevation.

Methods: Seventy-six extracted human molars were randomly divided into four groups (n=19) based on Deep Margin Elevation thickness: 0 mm (control), 1 mm, 2 mm, and 3 mm. This article showcases the results of one research question in a multi-question study, specifically, “How do interfaith hospital chaplains perceive themselves leaders or part of the leadership process?” To answer this question, researchers interviewed ten interfaith hospital chaplains and employed interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA). The analysis revealed the participants’ views that interfaith hospital chaplains are part of the leadership processes in hospital systems. This paper argues that the digital communication environment has qualitatively transformed the dynamics of populist leadership, moving it beyond a reliance on personal charisma. While the affective bonds between leaders and followers—explored by classical theorists like Weber, Freud, and Adorno—are not new, their operation within the platformed public sphere marks a distinct shift. BACKGROUND: Microglia, the brain’s resident immune cells, play a pivotal role in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) pathogenesis. These cells exhibit diverse transcriptional states in response to neuroinflammatory stimuli, and characterizing these states is essential for understanding AD mechanisms. METHODS: We integrated single-cell and spatial transcriptomic datasets from multiple cohorts and brain regions, encompassing both experimental models and human tissues. Findings were validated through immunostaining of human brain samples. RESULTS: Our comprehensive atlas revealed pronounced heterogeneity among microglial states, with disease-associated microglia (DAM) significantly enriched in AD brains compared to controls. The purpose of this research is to determine whether retinal vasculatures differ between participants with schizophrenia spectrum disorder (SSD) and controls. Ninety participants (51 SSD, mean age 35.8 ± 13.5, and 39 controls, mean age 35.5 ± 11.4) underwent 3 × 3 mm2 macular and 6 × 6 mm2 optic nerve head (ONH) optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) scans. Objectives: The purpose of this retrospective radiographic study was to measure alveolar bone width at the alveolar crest, intraosseous root length, apical bucco-palatal bone thickness and apical bone height at the anterior maxillary teeth prior to immediate implant placement. Objectives: To evaluate the influence of crown morphology and collum angle of maxillary incisors on torque expression at common bracket-bonding landmarks using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT).

Methods: Twenty CBCT scans of individuals aged 18–27 years were analyzed. For each central and lateral incisor, the height of maximum labial contour (HMC), height of the labial anatomic (LA) point, collum angle (CA), and alpha angle at both HMC (αc) and LA (αLA) were measured.
