يتناول البحث وصف وترجمة النصوص المدونة على جدران الصرح الثانى لمعبد الملك رعمسيس الثانى والذي شيد على مبعده 300 متر شمال غرب معبد والده ولقد شيد الَملك رعمسيس الثانى هذا المعبد خلال السنوات الأربع أو الخمس الأولى من عهده وذلك فيما عدا جدرانه الخارجية وأطلق عليه اسم «منزل ملايين السنين». وشيد المعبد من الحجر الجيرى الجيد والذي تم جلبه من المحاجر المحليه في المنطقه. وتناول البحث النقوش المسجلة على البرج الجنوبى للصرح وكذلك النقوش المسجلة على البرج الشمالى وكذلك نقوش البوابة الجرانيتية الحمراء والنقوش المسجلة على الأكتاف الداخلية للبوابة.

Swiss American Historical Society Review

Born of Depression-era nostalgia, the Swiss Historical

Village at New Glarus, Wisconsin, continues to be among the state’s

most well-known ethnic heritage sites.

Its development over many years was accomplished by a mix

of descendants of the colonists from Canton Glarus who founded the

community in 1845, later immigrants from Switzerland, and now non-

Swiss who have moved to New Glarus and have embraced its history.

Today the museum complex consists of 14 buildings focusing on

various aspects of the community’s past. Visitors can tour the buildings

on their own or with a guide who provides additional interpretation.

The quantity of Holocaust memorials in Britain and their prominence in public debates beseeches the question: Why does a country with a modest Jewish population, that was neither occupied by the Nazis nor lost its citizens in the horrors of the Holocaust, devote large quantities of resources and time to memorializing the events of the Holocaust? While there are private and synagogue-based Holocaust memorials in Britain, this dissertation centers on Britain’s statefunded Holocaust memorials and museums, a substantial network of memorials that is often left out of the abundant literature on Holocaust memory.
