Ai-Based Requirements Analysis Assistant That Applies Explicit Knowledge And Includes Humans In The Loop, Steven Alter
Ai-Based Requirements Analysis Assistant That Applies Explicit Knowledge And Includes Humans In The Loop, Steven Alter
Business Analytics and Information Systems
This exploratory paper builds on the EMMSAD 2024 paper “Could a Large Language Model Contribute Significantly to Requirements Analysis?” Eight versions of each of three LLM prompts (for system structure, analysis, and recommendations) were applied to three 3000+ word case studies. Those versions expressed different “treatments” including a control with no RAG augmentation, a version with RAG augmentation based on an analysis template used by MBA and EMBA students, and six other versions based on theoretical approaches such as activity theory, a BPM design space, work system principles, and so on. The LLM responses were somewhat reliable for summarizing system …

Consumer Acceptance Of Halal Food Traceability Systems: A Novel Integrated Approach Using Modified Utaut And Delone & Mclean Models To Promote Sustainable Food Supply Chain Practices, Aries Susanty, Nia Budi Puspitasari, Ferry Jie, Fauzan Akbar Akhsan, Sumunar Jati
Research outputs 2022 to 2026
With the growing demand for sustainable and transparent food supply chains, consumer awareness of Halal integrity is rising, highlighting the need for a Halal food traceability system to enhance consumer confidence by providing detailed production information. However, the factors influencing consumer acceptance of such systems in Indonesia remain unclear. This study addresses three key objectives: (1) assessing consumer intention to use a Halal food traceability system; (2) exploring the relationships between system quality, information quality, service quality, performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and trust and consumer behavioural intention; and (3) evaluating the effectiveness of an integrated model combining the …
Major Customers And Carbon Footprints Along The Supply Chain, Saiying Deng, Tinghua Duan, Frank Weikai Li, Xiaoling Pu
Major Customers And Carbon Footprints Along The Supply Chain, Saiying Deng, Tinghua Duan, Frank Weikai Li, Xiaoling Pu
Research Collection Lee Kong Chian School Of Business
This paper examines whether major corporate customers curb corporate carbon emissions along the supply chain. We show that suppliers with a more concentrated customer base have significantly lower carbon emissions. The results are robust to alternative measures of carbon emissions and customer concentration, alternative sample, alternative explanation, and various approaches to mitigate endogeneity concerns. The effect is more pronounced when major customers have made emission-reduction commitment, when they are exposed to greater climate regulatory shocks and risks, and when they become more concerned about regulatory scrutiny. Moreover, the curbing effect of major customers on supplier carbon emissions is stronger when …

A Composite Multiple-Based Stock Valuation Model, Mudita Lau, Maria Widyarini, Achmad Faisal
BISNIS & BIROKRASI: Jurnal Ilmu Administrasi dan Organisasi
This study seeks to examine whether a composite valuation model (made of several multiples) can outperform a single-multiple valuation model in valuation accuracy. This study applied a trial-and-error iteration using scripts written in R studio to optimize the weight of each multiple in each composite, aiming to reach a minimum valuation error for each composite valuation model. Based on financial data of 2009-2019, a composite valuation model performs better than a single-multiple valuation model in assessing all peer groups, achieving up to 18% greater accuracy, which is a significant improvement. The result suggests that a composite valuation model generally offers …

Sustainable Supply Chain Management
Big corporations tend to prioritize profitability and cost-cutting practices. However, this Chapter will explore companies that demonstrate the benefits of balancing ethical and sustainable sourcing with long-term profitability. These companies are Patagonia, Unilever, Danone, and ThredUp. By implementing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), good labor practices, and eco-friendly policies, big corporations can strengthen brand loyalty, drive innovation, and obtain long-term profitability in global supply chains. Prioritizing ethical and sustainable business practices will improve environmental well-being and long-term sustainability. The global supply chain faces pressure to endure sustainable practices while balancing and maintaining profitability. The fashion industry uses low-cost workers to produce …
How Certain Is The Continuity Of The Panama Canal And How Will It Affect The Global Supply Chain Industry?, Enmanuel Rodriguez Correa
How Certain Is The Continuity Of The Panama Canal And How Will It Affect The Global Supply Chain Industry?, Enmanuel Rodriguez Correa
Honors Theses
The Panama Canal, a critical artery of global trade, is under mounting threat from prolonged droughts, water scarcity, and evolving geopolitical dynamics, casting doubt on its long-term viability. This thesis investigates the continuity of the Panama Canal’s operations amid intensifying climate change, and assesses the broader implications for the global supply chain. As the canal facilitates approximately 5% of global maritime trade and provides billions in annual cost savings to shipping companies, any disruption poses severe consequences for global commerce, economic stability, and trade logistics.
The analysis begins by situating the canal within its historical and geopolitical context, emphasizing its …

Decarbonized Shipping: Is It The Best Sustainable Shipping Solution?, Olivia Akers
Decarbonized Shipping: Is It The Best Sustainable Shipping Solution?, Olivia Akers
Sustainable Supply Chain Management
In the era of globalization and the fourth industrial revolution, the maritime shipping industry has grown exponentially in the twenty-first century. In fact, 90% of today’s goods travel across the ocean before reaching the end consumer, meaning that ocean transportation of goods contributes significantly to overall environmental impacts on the ocean. Awareness of this impact has increased as humans strive to eliminate unsustainable practices in an effort to protect the long term health of our planet. Decarbonized shipping has been proposed as a possible solution for unsustainable shipping practices, and the goal of this chapter is to evaluate this solution …

Automation Mismatch: How Contractor Ai Adoption Challenges Institutional Procurement Norms At U.S. Customs And Border Protection (Cbp), Farhan Bin Amjad
Beyond the Project Horizon: Journal of the Center for Project Management Innovation
This letter explores a growing strain in the U.S. federal procurement: the automation mismatch between AI-powered proposal development by contractors and the regulation-bound evaluation systems at agencies like U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Tools like Vultron and Unanet AI have enabled federal contractors to increase proposal submission volume, yet institutional constraints such as data sensitivity, budget limitations, and cultural barriers have hindered equivalent modernization on the government side. This article leverages institutional theory and prior research to analyze this disparity, highlighting how legal and cultural factors limit AI integration in procurement. Detailed analysis of these regulatory and cultural influences …

This Comment embarks on a comparative analysis of a variety human rights due diligence (HRDD) laws. It examines six different laws related to human trafficking and supply chains. These laws originate from five different countries and fit into two categories: (1) laws requiring a company to report what, if any, human rights due diligence it engages in and (2) laws that require more than just reporting. By surveying a wide sample of HRDD laws, this Comment provides a broad overview of this area of the law.
