Clarifying The Role Of E-Government Trust In E-Government Success Models: A Meta-Analytic Structural Equation Modeling Approach, Apeksha Hooda, Parul Gupta, Anand Jeyaraj, Yogesh K. Dwivedi May 2023

Clarifying The Role Of E-Government Trust In E-Government Success Models: A Meta-Analytic Structural Equation Modeling Approach, Apeksha Hooda, Parul Gupta, Anand Jeyaraj, Yogesh K. Dwivedi

ISSCM Faculty Publications

E-government implementation success is of critical importance for nations. Prior information systems (IS) success models emphasize the effects of information quality, service quality, system quality, and user satisfaction but do not consider e-government trust. This study incorporates e-government trust into the IS success model and empirically tests the model on empirical findings reported in 67 prior studies using meta-analysis methods and structural equation modeling. Our analysis shows that: a) information quality, service quality, system quality, and user satisfaction influence e-government trust, and b) system use mediates the effect of e-government trust on intention to use e-government systems in the future.

Social commerce (s-commerce) has gained prominence with advances in social media and social networking technologies over the last decade. Prior research has employed diverse theoretical perspectives to understand and explain consumer behavior within s-commerce but has also produced inconsistent results. This study integrates different theoretical perspectives including trust, social support, and social presence. The research portrays an integrated research model involving factors that impact behavioral intention and use behavior of s-commerce consumers whilst synthesizing prior empirical findings. A meta-analytic structural equation modeling (MASEM) method was used to synthesize 189 findings reported in 68 s-commerce studies and to analyze the structural …

Non-Communicable Diseases And Social Media: A Heart Disease Symptoms Application, Ashwin Kumar Thandapani Kumarasamy, Daniel Asamoah, Ramesh Sharda Jan 2021

Non-Communicable Diseases And Social Media: A Heart Disease Symptoms Application, Ashwin Kumar Thandapani Kumarasamy, Daniel Asamoah, Ramesh Sharda

ISSCM Faculty Publications

Social media platforms have become ubiquitous and allow users to share information in real-time. Our study uses data analytics as an approach to explore non-communicable diseases on social media platforms and to identify trends and patterns of related disease symptoms. Exploring epidemiological patterns of non-communicable diseases is vital given that they have become prevalent in low income communities, accounting for about 38 million deaths worldwide.

We collected data related to multiple disease conditions from the Twitter microblogging platform and zoomed into symptoms related to heart diseases. As part of our analyses, we focused on the mechanism and trends of disease …

Embedding Robotic Process Automation Into Process Management: Case Study Of Using Taskt, Anand Jeyaraj, Vikram Sethi Jul 2020

XYZ Company routinely faced penalties imposed by the United States Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for non-compliance in depositing federal withholding taxes related to the managed benefits plans for its clients. Since the rules for depositing the federal taxes were complex and differed between the benefits plans, it was common for XYZ Company to accrue penalties imposed by the IRS. Desiring to eliminate penalties by complying 100% with the IRS guidelines, XYZ Company considered various solutions. Finally, XYZ Company implemented a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solution using the open source tool—taskt—to achieve 100% compliance in depositing federal withholding taxes and eliminate …

A Model Construction For Investigating The Impact Of Enterprise Social Media Affordances On Employees’ Perceived Creativity, Yuan Sun, Chunli Wang, Anand Jeyaraj, Kun Nie Jan 2020

A Model Construction For Investigating The Impact Of Enterprise Social Media Affordances On Employees’ Perceived Creativity, Yuan Sun, Chunli Wang, Anand Jeyaraj, Kun Nie

ISSCM Faculty Publications

Enterprise social media (ESM) is increasingly applied in modern enterprises to promote knowledge sharing and social interactions among employees, and has an important potential for enhancing employees’ creativity. However, it is still unclear whether ESM can help boost employee creativity, and the technical design factors that cast ESM as a creativity support system needs investigation. To fill this research gap, this study constructs a research model based on the affordance lens to examine the influences of association and visibility affordances of ESM on employees’ perception of creativity. The moderating role of job autonomy in the relationship between ESM affordances and …

Re-Examining The Unified Theory Of Acceptance And Use Of Technology (Utaut): Towards A Revised Theoretical Model, Anand Jeyaraj, Yogesh K. Dwivedi, Nripendra P. Rana, Marc Clement, Michael D. Williams Jun 2019

Re-Examining The Unified Theory Of Acceptance And Use Of Technology (Utaut): Towards A Revised Theoretical Model, Anand Jeyaraj, Yogesh K. Dwivedi, Nripendra P. Rana, Marc Clement, Michael D. Williams

ISSCM Faculty Publications

Based on a critical review of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), this study first formalized an alternative theoretical model for explaining the acceptance and use of information system (IS) and information technology (IT) innovations. The revised theoretical model was then empirically examined using a combination of meta-analysis and structural equation modelling (MASEM) techniques. The meta-analysis was based on 1600 observations on 21 relationships coded from 162 prior studies on IS/IT acceptance and use. The SEM analysis showed that attitude: was central to behavioural intentions and usage behaviours, partially mediated the effects of exogenous constructs on …

Big Data And The Commoditization Of Analytics: Engaging First-Year Business Students With Analytics, Amir Hassan Zadeh, Shu Schiller, Kevin Duffy, Jonathan Williams

ISSCM Faculty Publications

The age of data analytics requires "data scientists” across a wide range of business disciplines with deep knowledge of how to manage and analyze vast amounts of data to support decision-making. As a result, new analytical tools are being taught in the Management Information Systems (MIS) or business analytics (BA) programs to foster students’ development of this critical competency. Three waves of analytics tools are considered froman experiential perspective including how to introduce analytics to first-year business students using an advanced data analytics software package with multiple techniques and data flow interface. SAS Enterprise Miner is used to teach technical …

Enabling Context-Based Learning With Kportal Webspace Technology, Anand Jeyaraj, Vijay Sethi, Vikram Sethi, Kevin P. Duffy, Berkwood M. Farmer

ISSCM Faculty Publications

Recognizing the importance of context-based learning and the general lack of technology applications in the design and development of the ideal and formal curricula, this paper describes an experimental system at a large public university. The authors describe the creation of a contextual environment for introducing concepts related to information security to undergraduate business students using the KPortal (Knowledge Portals) webspace technology that supports dynamic content gathered from various sources automatically. The KPortal webspace rated highly on the various attributes of effective contexts and the characteristics of technologies that enable context-based learning. The flexibility provided by the webspace permitted the …

Impact Of A Kpi-Driven Shared Service Dynamic Fee Model, Jeffrey Dice Aug 2017

Impact Of A Kpi-Driven Shared Service Dynamic Fee Model, Jeffrey Dice

Master of Science in Logistics & Supply Chain Management Capstone Executive Summaries and Projects

This study will focus on the impact of a KPI-driven shared service dynamic fee model on shared office solution (SOS) shared service group within the majority shareholder’s organization. Once tested and proven, the conceptual model can be expanded across all shared service groups including being applied against the historical fee model. Although the KPIs will vary between shared service departments, the conceptual design should hold true across the organization.
