The Perilous Decline Of Cora Sline, Alvin Community College Oct 1988

The Perilous Decline Of Cora Sline, Alvin Community College

Season 1987-1988

The Perilous Decline of Cora Sline is a whimsical children’s play that follows the misadventures of Cora Sline, a once-admired figure whose fall from grace becomes both humorous and heartfelt. As Cora navigates a series of exaggerated troubles—often caused by misunderstandings, meddling characters, or her own dramatic flair—she discovers lessons about humility, friendship, and resilience. The play blends gentle comedy with moral storytelling, making it suitable for young performers and family audiences. Its imaginative tone and playful structure provide plenty of opportunities for creative staging and lively character work.

"Wretched, Bloody, And Usurping Boar"? An Evaluation Of The Historicity Of Shakespeare's Richard Iii, Kathryn Kiff

Institute for the Humanities Theses

Shakespeare's portrait of Richard III as a diabolical monster was based on the hostile accounts fashioned about him during the Tudor regime. Sir Thomas More's Richard III established the definitive image of Richard as the deformed tyrant who usurped the throne and murdered his nephews. This was the portrait that Shakespeare inherited from the sixteenth-century writers who incorporated More's account into their chronicles. This thesis examines Shakespeare's portrayal of Richard and the chronicle sources upon which he drew in order to show how Shakespeare's portrait of Richard developed. Although Richard was not the evil character presented in Shakespeare's play, it …

Heinz Hilpert: The Revitalization Of German Theatre After World War Ii, William Grange

Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film: Faculty Publications and Creative Activity
