My daily routine is pure ritual and thus pure theatre. A routinely perfect production of a comfortable unwritten script: stage dark, save for a dim morning light; spot on tousseled black hair, white pillow, and a blanket nest. Wake up, pad into the bathroom; mise-en-scène a student’s sanctuary. In the bathroom, suit up: costume, makeup/mask, deliberately casual—as if any day could become a beach day. Flip on Elvis and dance while pouring milk onto cold cereal. The door opens, and the play begins en force.

I n the 1970s, the Korean poet Kim Chi-ha was perhaps the most internationally well known Korean artist. During this time, Kim wrote many poems speaking out against the Park Chung Hee regime which began with Park’s coup in 1961. One of Kim’s most famous works, “The Five Bandits” (The Golden-Crowned Jesus and Other Writings) was so politically charged that it began a series of incarcerations of the poet on allegations of communist sympathies. This paper examines spiritual beliefs and practices in the Hakka Malaysian community of Pulai, focusing on the pantheon of deities and spirits worshipped and propitiated; the system of local beliefs in the power and efficacy of these deities; and the manner in which individuals and families have reproduced and altered these spiritual beliefs over time. Unlike my previous writings about religion in Pulai, which have emphasized the sociological components of local religion practices, my goal here is to explore the cosmological system, world view, and system of meanings conveyed through religious practices in this Hakka village.

How can we talk about "postcoloniality" in relation to Nepal, which, even though it has never been foreign to Western fantasies about the exotic, was never formally colonized? One of the ways could be to create narratives and deploy images - as has been done by Eric Valli in his popular film Himalaya- that foreground geographically remote and ethnically and politically marginalized people of the nation. Latin American and Asia-Pacific countries are fervently forging economic cooperative relationships, which began with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation in 1989. The two regions have shifted away from looking intra-regionally for economic stability against the forces of globalization. Rather, they have moved towards emphasizing cross-regional trade pacts. Cross-regional trade pacts present a number of advantages for member countries. 唐滌生於一九五四至一九五九年間，多次改編古典文學作品，推敲增刪，把經典轉化為另一部經典。戲曲早已是中國文學中不能或缺的一部份，而粵劇作為戲曲文學的一員，當中亦不乏傳世佳作。適逢五、六十年代是香港粵劇的鼎盛之年，既造就唐滌生編劇之能，唐滌生也以劇作的文學價值成就粵劇。

本文以道德教化作討論軸心，探勘唐滌生如何改編古典名著。第一章導言， 先論改編作品的價值及釐清本文方向，繼而按劇分章論述其改編之法；第二章以主題的轉換探討唐滌生如何改編《牡丹亭》成《牡丹亭驚夢》；第三章是〈《琵 琶記》：天人不甚感應〉，研讀唐滌生對傳統理念的存疑及更動；第四章以敘事結構的改換閱讀《六月雪》；第五章：〈《帝女花》：隱含的忠孝精神〉，細察唐滌生如何透過寫作手法改寫文本，不動聲色地傳述忠孝精神；人物是劇作家的代言人，模塑兼具個性與感情的人物卻殊不容易，第六章即以此為題開展討論《香 囊記》；第七章以劇作討論的基礎重申改編的價值，並以肯定唐滌生作品的地位作結。

五十年代的香港逐漸出現不同類型的綜合性文化刊物，而由右派機構如友聯出版社所編的一系列學生刊物，對香港以至東南亞一帶的文藝發展有深遠的影響。友聯編輯出版的報刊包括《祖國周刊》、《大學生活》、《中國學生周報》(以下簡稱《周報》)以及《兒童樂園》，儘管它們的編輯方針有不同的取向，但是其中以學生為名的兩份，最初的共同目標都是為流亡於東南亞一帶的中國青年而編，透過文化宣傳凝聚青年力量，並為他們指引「正確」 的升學出路。

本研究以五十年代的《周報》文藝版為例，是由於這段時期最能代表當代香港青年如何受到學生報刊的影響。他們參與學生報刊的園地，其中不同的時期的發展，都能夠體現香港文藝的各種特點。而且《周報》本身的跨地域發展，影響遍及整個東南亞，其代表性更遠超其他學生報刊，對往後種種文化討論提供重要研究資料。

本研究的第一章會先解釋研究概況、方法和範圍，並闡明文藝版的定義。 第二章以宏觀的角度，整理和分析編輯方針與文藝發展的關係。第三章梳理和探討《周報》文藝版如何保存中國傳統文化。第四章則分析不同時期的西方文藝介紹工作，並歸納當中的文藝特質。第五章探討文藝版的學生創作版， 歸納和分析不同時期的文藝風氣。最後第六章是總結，嘗試評定《周報》文藝版的價值和貢獻。

Kyoka draws upon his inspiration of the past and seeks, in his own words, “not to portray reality as reality, but to seek beyond reality for some more powerful truth” (Carpenter 154). Izumi Kyoka (1873–1939) was a prolific writer in the Meiji Era of Japan who depicted the literature of his past from the kusazoshi (illustrated fiction of the Edo Era), the ghostliness of Ueda Akinari, and the supernatural of the No Theater (Carpenter 154). In Japan, China, the United States and beyond, arguably no Japanese wartime atrocity against China is more widely known than the Nanjing Massacre. [1] Whatever the significance of mere name recognition, however, the history and memory of the Nanjing Massacre are profoundly complex. Indeed, even the phrase “Nanjing Massacre” (hereafter NM) remains contested, and to this day there are circles within which the words cannot be spoken without stirring deep feeling and disagreement.

從來小說中的環境描述，都是小說創作中一項具體而重要的細節與象徵。小說 作者往往藉由對場所/環境的選取與陳述，建構舖陳出小說中的情調與氛圍，其 中蘊涵著作者個人對現實的感懷與情緒的投射。在不同的年代裏，都有作者以 香港為小說的場景，他們透過不同的主題與角色，或頹靡，或抒情，或狂亂， 或純真，或虛或實；所帶出的香港故事，與時俱變。如果都會的變貌是香港這 座城市的本命，那麼它是如何影響及反映在以香港作為場景的小說之中？而這 些以香港為場景的小說，又如何呈現了香港的氛圍與面貌？本論文嘗試以小說 的「空間」 及「場景」──也就是香港──為探索主題，從文本中歸納勾勒出 「文學中的香港」的面貌，並對照不同作者的共通描述。

論文共分六章。第一章為導論，主要介紹論文的研究範圍、方法及目的。第二 章討論香港小說中的豪宅、半山洋房與大酒店；這些「空間」呈現了上流社會 和中產階級，主要來自「外來作家」的描述。第二章討論香港小說中的木屋區、 板間房和床位；四、五十年代從國內南來的作家，他們的小說總離不開他們對現實生活的憤慨與生存的苦苦掙扎，木屋區、板間房與床位就成為他們描寫現 實生活的重要場景。第三章討論香港小說中的大廈；居住環境的擠迫，已經成 為香港社會裏無法逃避的一種現實狀態，這樣的題旨都曾經出現在劉以鬯、也 斯和西西的小說裏，不過他們態度迴異，構成了不一樣的城市氛圍。第五章討 論香港小說中正在消失的城市；九十年代的小說作者有意無意地，把小說中城 市的面貌意象化，現實從具體變得抽象，而其中的焦慮不安與不捨卻因而顯得 更加真實。第六章為總結及檢討。

互文性理论源于二十世纪六十年代，由法国文论家克里斯蒂瓦提出。根据这一理论，任何文本的生成都不是孤立封闭的，都与其它文本发生联系并产生 文本互涉。这一理论从根本上动摇了过去那种认为文本是独立自足的观点，揭开了文本研究的新篇章。近年来，国内有学者将互文性理论运用于中国文学批评和翻译研究，但这些讨论缺乏理论的深度和系统性。

本论文试图运用互文性理论建立一条互文性翻译研究的途经，以此指导翻译理论和实践。全文共分八章。第一章为导论，讨论了中国翻译界的互文性研究状况。第二章对西方不同流派的互文性理论进行了梳理；第三章上承孔孟、 陆机、刘勰，乃至王国维、钱钟书等，从中国的话语实践勾勒中国互文思想的 演变，补充了国人在该方面研究的不足。第四章探讨互文性的基本概念，以及这基本概念运用于翻译研究的可行性。第五、六章讨论显性互文性和成构互文性。前者指语篇的表层特征，手法有引用、模仿、糅杂、戏拟等；后者指过去 和现在的体裁、规范、类型甚至主题在阅读的文本中发生的相互指涉关系。在上述研究的基础上，第七章提出了互文性翻译的三个准则：关联准则、经济准则、中和准则。如果源语和目标语不能产生互文的关联，译文意图就会扭曲、 信度会大打折扣；互文性所携带的文化内涵决定了译文必须以简代繁、以约代冗，这样读者方可从阅读中感受文本的魅力；在众多的互文指涉中，译者通过认知分析来获取互文翻译的中和效果十分必要。第八章讨论了翻译的主体间性问题，通过大量英汉翻译实例分析来证明，能否做到语境化重构、达到互文的视阈融合、创造等效的互文特征是翻译成败的关键。

本文是第一部以汉语讨论互文性与翻译的博士论文，在英汉语翻译语料分析的基础上提出了互文性的基本理论和翻译实践的原则，希望对文学批评、语言研究、文化研究、翻译研究发挥积极的推动作用。

從事戰略文化研究的學者相信，戰略除了是一個現實政治的課題，也是一 個文化的課題。二千多年來，戰略深深地植根於人類的文化傳統中，受到意識 形態、價值體系等種種文化要素的薰陶，而其本身也變成了文化傳統的一部分。 基於戰略行為受到文化要素的影響，戰略取向亦早已成為文化傳統的一部分， 戰略決策不可能完全理性，祇能在特定的文化背景被認為理性。對於某個民族 來說是完全理性的行為，對於具有不同文明背景的對手來說可能是愚不可及， 或完全無法理解的瘋狂行為。不同文明的接觸激化戰略思維中價值體系的互動， 也成為戰略文化硏究的理想素材。冷戰時期成為戰略文化研究的溫床，學者相 信美國和蘇聯的戰略取向都各自受到本身文化價值所影響，形成鮮明對比。例 如蘇聯的戰爭方式偏好於先制攻擊|而美國在運用武力時則懷有十字軍的情意 結。至於中國的戰略文化，則被形容為政治對武力的維制，企圈以盡量微量的 軍事力量解決衝突。近十年來，學者在歷史上找到更多素材加以研究，尤其是 分析不同文明和價值體系接觸的時候產生具爭議性，或看似非理性的行徑，運 用戰略文化角度來觀察較能凸顯歷史和文化的特質。至於研究的角度也深化到 討論不同文化對暴力的不同制約，社會規範對軍事力量的模塑，和意識形態對 戰略取向的界定等問題。

伍銳麟是廣東省臺山市沖蔞鎮修齊荒村人，生於1904年 (農曆二月初三曰）。他在幼年時期是嬌生慣養的，而且由出生到十歲時，父親伍時昌僑居外國。家裏只有他一個孩子，母親對他特別溺愛，整個童年時期都在溫暖的家庭裏度過。祖父因經營菲律賓呂宋島上的茶園失敗，回鄉作私塾教師，伍銳麟就跟他唸書，所讀的課本是《論語》、《大學》、《中庸》之類。其中的內容小孩是不大瞭解的，但他時常記得這樣一句話：「天子重賢豪，文章教汝曹，萬般皆下品，唯有讀書高」。從那時起他就朦朧地具有「學而優則仕」的思想了。又因為他的叔父在前清科舉制度下得了「進士」後到福建做大官，母親時常用叔父作榜樣，要他向叔父看齊，勤力讀書，將來可以光宗耀祖，顯姓揚名。
