In this research, the writer gave the definition of what the particle is, and explained in detail the types and its functions. The Teaching of Arabic in Religious National Secondary School (SMKA) started since 1977 with 11 pilot schools. A special curriculum was designed to achieve communication objectives. In line with the communication objectives a textbook was designed to fulfill the objectives. This thesis explains Abu Bakr ibn al-‘Arabi’s juristic choices in “The Book of Purification” from his work ‘Aridat al-Ahwadhi, and his methodology for doing so. This researcher has used an inductive methodology, surveying the works of Ibn al-‘Arabi as well as other books, particularly books of fiqh and usul al-fiqh, and then analyzing Ibn al-‘Arabi’s choices and comparing them with the legal opinions of other jurists. This study aims to evaluate Arabic language textbooks in the second cycle of the Basic Education, in Sultanate of Oman in the light of textbooks educational standards, and Arabic language standards. To achieve these aims, a list of textbook educational standards was set up together with a list of Arabic language standards in the second cycle of the basic education. Both lists have been approved by a panel of referees and developed into tow questionnaires. The present study examined the extent to which parenting influences problems with sleep in children referred for an evaluation of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Data was collected from parents and/or legal guardians of sixty-three 4- to 12-year old children referred for assessment at an ADHD Evaluation Clinic located at a Midwestern university. Previous literature linking sleep problems to ADHD has typically derived from community and pediatric sleep clinic samples and has largely overlooked children with sub-clinical sleep impairments and/or those whose sleep problems stem from alternate etiologies. More than 60% of parents/caregivers in the current study reported significant child sleep difficulties. …

This research-work aims at studying the use of metadiscourse markers by foreign learners of Arabic to enhance their writing skills. First there is an introduction which explains the role of metadiscourse markers in writing within the framework of the two paradigms of meaning suggested by Halliday, i.e. the textual and the interspersonal. Second two hypotheses on which the research-work is built are spelled out. This study is a descriptive quantitative study which examines text superstructure patterns of opinion articles written in Arabic by native Arabic-speakers. It addresses three questions: 1) What is/are the rhetorical superstructure pattern(s) of Arabic argumentative texts represented in newspaper political/social opinion articles? And what are the frequencies of these patterns? 2) Where, in these opinion articles, do Arab writers prefer to introduce their "general thesis"? And 3) What are the argument constructions and forms used by Arab writers within opinion articles? The three main religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam have all claimed that God is a supreme reality, and that all other creatures are finite beings.
