Kamus Dewan (KD4) is the latest issue of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka Malay monolingual dictionary. Beside the native Malay words, the dictionary also records a great number of entries of loan words from foreign languages such as Arabic, which is labeled 'Ar'. The loan words normally do not deviate from the narrowing, extension or variation in its actual meaning. This study examines the training teachers’ acquisition level of reading Arabic text. In this study, the acquisitional level is obtained based on two categories; the level of thinking while reading Arabic text and the level of comprehension of the reading text. It also analyses the correlation between the level of these two categories.
