Traditional urban planning often isolates nature, viewing it as something to be managed by experts and separate from daily life, which limits public engagement and diminishes urban ecological potential. This study proposes a co-creation approach to reconnect humans with nature in urban settings, with a focus on Nezu in Tokyo. Design practice frequently characterises generative artificial intelligence (AI) as a compliant, tool-like extension of human intention; however, recent reports of atypical behaviours motivate a re- examination of this metaphor. Grounded in Object-Oriented Ontology, agential realism, and posthumanist theory, this paper introduces the Tensional-Field Relational Framework (TFRF) for human–AI co-creation. In this paper, we propose a comprehensive Role Interpretation Framework based on three core interpersonal dimensions—Dominance, Sociability, and Task Orientation—to systematically capture and explain user roles in MR collaboration. This study explores service design strategies for Culturally Embedded Marathons (CEMs), proposing a research perspective that integrates cultural memory formation mechanisms (symbol is ation, ritual is ation, and institutional is ation) to examine service design frameworks. Through a case study of the representative 2025 Kyoto Marathon, we identified 26 cultural touch points within its service design system. Using Python, we scraped and analysed 2,689 user-generated posts from social media platforms documenting the 2025 Kyoto Marathon, comprising 13,345 images. Modern healthcare devices quantify bodily states through data, yet users rarely feel a direct bodily connection. This study introduces abdominal suppleness—the softness of the upper abdomen during respiration—as a new embodied health indicator. Integrating traditional Japanese abdominal examination (Fukushin) with physiological measurement, we examined how autonomic activity affects abdominal motion. Experiments using the ocul ocardiac reflex showed slower and deeper abdominal movement under parasympathetic dominance, suggesting that suppleness relates to relaxation. However, many systems face limitations in conversational design, particularly in questioning strategies and interactional responsiveness. This review synthesises findings from 12 peer-reviewed studies published between 2015 and 2025, identifying common design issues including rigid dialogue structures, limited contextual awareness, and insufficient emotional engagement. This paper examines the transformative impact of Sense of Agency (SoA) in human-intelligent agent collaboration, arguing that multi-agent AI systems fundamentally reconfigure agency dynamics beyond traditional tool metaphors. Through philosophical analysis (intentional agency), empirical case studies (e.g., AlphaGo, TikTok algorithms, DALL·E), and socio technical critique, we identify five pivotal consequences of multi-agent systems: (1) the emergence of human-like agency in AI, challenging boundaries of consciousness and moral treatment; (2) negotiation of agency, where humans perceive AI as competitors or collaborators; (3) synergetic co-evolution, evidenced by reciprocal capability enhancement in human-AI partnerships; (4) AI-driven cultural production of cognitively inaccessible creative combinations; …

This study adopts Actor-Network Theory (ANT) to examine how non-human actors exercise agency in intergenerational interaction design. Moving beyond the notion of gerontechnology technology as passive tools, we frame these technologies as active participants in shaping intergenerational connections. Through case-based analysis and material ethnography, we analyzed four design projects—Harmony Makers, CampChess, XiangqiMate, and SereniTea House. By systematically coding design documents, interviews, and user interaction videos, we identified five dimensions of non-human agency: Interaction Triggering, Relationship Coordination, Emotional Modulation, Cultural Invocation, and Identity Positioning.
